Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
This was our second visit to this cottage and we will return again, this shows how much we have enjoyed our time here. The owners are great, really nice people.
The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our dogs were also made welcome; a bowl of water waiting for them. The garden was very secure and well kept. We found it a perfect base to enjoy all the great places in the area. More to do, so will be returning to Bangor Cottage. Many thanks to the owners for such a lovely holiday.
The cottage was perfect and nicely laid out, with plenty of room for our group of 5. The cottage had everything we needed and nice views of the mountains out of the dining room window and garden. When I come back to Bangor, I will definitely be wanting to stay here again!
My husband and I arrived in Bangor at the same time as my daughter and her family arrived at Bangor Station. We found the cottage easily, only passing the end of the lane where the cottage is situated and ending up about 2 mins away in the Golf club car park. A phone call to the owner who waited for us at the end of the lane soon put us right, every second of 2 min drive away. From the lane it looks as if it would be cramped - what a surprise to find it a spacious cottage, with a spacious porch with plenty of room for shoes and a bench to sit on. This leads into the living room, a spacious airy room, well appointed with ample room to sit is all. To the left is a spacious, comfortable ligjht air double bedroom. Next through the lounge to the left is a well appointed kitchen, compact but with plenty of room to cook. Opposite is a light, sunny dinning room with plenty of room for 6 people to eat in comfort. To the left of the dinning room through a door from the kitchen is a rear hall with coat pegs and off this is a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board and a spacious freezer. Also leading from the rear hall is the door leading down steps to the garden which is spacious and goes all round the cottage. Returning to the lounge we find a smaller lounge with childrens toys and 2 armchairs, room for children to play quitter indoor games. Also off the lounge is a corridor with a single bedroom, also spacious and airy, a shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin and the boiler. Next is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed in. All in all a well appointed comfortable cottage, near to bangor centre and convenient for Anglesy and north wales resorts and attractions. The extras are most welcome and when we stayed included a pack of Welsh cakes, Welsh butter and a bottle of fresh milk, tea, coffee sugar and flour. There is also washing up liquid, laundry liquid and towels. There is plenty of cooking equipment and crockery. WELL DONE RON AND GWEN.
This is a cottage that I would happily come back to time and time again. The owners are friendly warm and welcoming. I would recommend Bangor Cottage to all my friends.
We have just returned from a stay at this property and can not rate it highly enough. A delightful property set in seclusion a short way from the city. Perfect location to see this part of Wales, Snowdon, Conwy, Caernarfon and LLandudno all a short drive away. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the delightful rear gardens perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The owners are delightful and welcoming and left many extras for us. Being all on one level meant a member of our party with mobility issues welcomed the lack of stairs ( steps to rear of property but level access available from the front). Well equipped throughout to a very high standard, with Wi-Fi Sky and a DVD player though we rarely used preferring to relax taking in the stunning views. One property we are already considering making a return visit.
Good central location, fantastic facilities. Comfortable beds, large property, welcoming owners, peaceful area, lots of room for all, nice gesture by the owners who left milk, tea, coffee, Welsh cakes, butter for our arrival, Tea towels, washing up liquid, aluminium foil, hand soap, toilet roll, extra blankets, pillows, all these added extras were very thoughtfully put in the cottage by the owners.
A lovely cottage in an awesome location for us. The cottage is large and has an excellent view over the mountains and you can also see the sea. My sister felt like it was a "home from home" as there were many added extras. She enjoyed the freedom of living in a cottage with limited steps. Also support was given by the owners to help find an appropriate venue to eat out. The beds were very comfortable and welcoming, which was needed as the sea air made some of our party very tired. There were lots of beautiful areas to explore within a short distance.
