The Gallery, Tenby

This was our 3rd year staying at the Gallery, once again it was a wonderful stay, there have been a few changes to the fabric of the building which have enhanced the look of the place. Set in a small cul de sac just 5 minutes walk from the north beach makes this a great base for a stay in Tenby, all the local amenities are close at hand so no real need to get back in the car for your entire stay if you so wished. I can not fault the the Gallery or its owner, thank you so much for another spectacular week.

The GF and I returned from The Gallery having really enjoyed the property. It is beautifully furnished, clean and for a self catering house is really well equipped with the size of the fridge and freezer and cupboard space being ample. On arrival, there was enough washing up liquid to last the week and a couple of dishwasher tablets. We used the kitchen quite a bit, whilst there were a lot of trays for baking and a good selection of saucepans/frying pans, there wasn't a casserole type dish. I would recommend thinking about your meals in advance and taking any equipment. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were linked by a walkway and we did have some concern that neighbours could see us walking from one to the other. Dressing gowns a must! Overall, we really enjoyed The Gallery albeit it was a little cold as we couldn't get the heating to work, but it is a lovely property and located really close to the centre of the town. One last word on how to find The Gallery. It is located on St John's Hill. Dependent on which way you come in to Tenby, you will see the Albany Hotel. As you drive down St Johns Hill, you will see two one way signs. The first one is opposite Rectory Court and the second one is opposite the entrance to Zion Gardens. When you enter Zion Gardens, after the second speed bump turn left and The Gallery is on the right.

My family and I love staying here, it’s a home from home, lovely and comfortable, conveniently located, well furnished with everything you need for your stay, having separate bathrooms to our kids is wonderful, the rooms are comfortable and plenty of space for all of us, Jez the joint owner is very accommodating and only a phone call away if you need him, he is very friendly and lets you go about you business without interfering, thanks for another lovely week.

Well what can I say, firstly the apartment is wonderful, located in a little cul d sac with a few other houses it has a very attractive, modern look to the outside which continues inside, the entrance is to the right of the property up some steps and in through the front door which leads into the hallway off which is the first double bedroom and bathroom, passing through the hallway leads into the open plan living room, dining area and kitchen with the feature spiral staircase, there are two large sofas which were very comfortable and a large TV with freeview, the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. On the first floor leading off the spiral staircase is the master bedroom and bathroom one each end of a mezzanine landing, the bedroom was light and airy with a double bed an d built in cupboard space. The bathroom was enormous with a huge bath which my children absolutely loved, there were plenty of towels supplied for the four of us for our stay. The whole apartment is wonderful and had everything we needed for our holiday, it's located only a few minutes walk from the centre of the town and beaches. We throughly enjoyed our week here, the owner was on hand if we needed him and was very friendly, a superb apartment.

The Gallery was a superb, quiet place to stay. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. We found the owners very pleasant and they made us feel welcome.

Furnished to a high standard, clean, modern and very comfortable, plenty of space to ensure you were not on top of each other especially in bad weather, and my the weather was poor,(you cannot have everything) beds were excellent and rooms provided with good storage. The property is not easy to find in Tenby. Look for an entrance just above the Evergreen Public House on St John's Hill. Not marked as Zion Gardens - property is on the left when you drive in. Internally it is unusual with spiral staircase and internal bridge on upper floor overlooking lounge area. As one guest said 'It is a triumph of design over practicality' Has all the usual amenities but no wi-fi

The Gallery was a fantastic holiday apartment in a great location, which made our family break a very memorable one indeed.

A great apartment - very stylish and clean. There was plenty of cutlery, etc. So we were never short of a cup or a plate when we needed it! The location was excellent too - just a 5 min walk to the beach and the shops. This, combined with the parking space right outside, meant a nice hassle-free holiday. Would recommend and in fact I already have!

The Gallery apartment is lovely, bright, clean and modern with everything you could need for a stay away. Great to have all facilities like a washing machine, tumble drier, TV, WiFi etc. included. Tenby is a beautiful location with so many great family days out, most about 10 minutes from the town. I couldn't ask for any more - even the weather was good for us, especially for February.

The accommodation was excellent, photos do not do it justice. We met the owner who couldn't have been more helpful. It is as described, within easy walking distance of Tenby town centre and the beaches, also easy road access to the surrounding area.

We loved our stay at the Gallery. It is a fantastic modern apartment with very high quality decor throughout. We especially loved the lights. Tenby itself is a beautiful and interesting place and we had loads to do even though the weather was...well, Welsh!

A really striking contemporary design internally. We particularly liked the high spec lighting. Just couldn't fault the apartment's presentation, features and facilities.

Tenby is a wonderful holiday destination. There is something for everyone here and the surrounding Pembrokeshire area. We have stayed at the Gallery before and it is our favourite place of all the places we have stayed in the last 9 years.

This was our second visit. The location is superb, a short walk to beaches and town so didn't have to rely on the car most days, but for trips to Folly Farm and Dinoworld for the children, literally a 10 minute drive. Will definitely return.

This had everything! It was an exciting property to stay in with spiral stairs, wonderful bathrooms and excellent kitchen. I really cannot find fault. It was in an excellent position for walking or beach holiday. Out of season it made a good base for exploring the area.

The Gallery apartment is very well equiped with a beautiful modern open plan living area . Both bathrooms are quite luxurious . The bedrooms are on the smallish side, but clean with comfortable beds . The spiral staicase is a lovely addition ( makes up for the lack of features one would find in traditional homes ) giving this modern apartment a feel of luxuary . Good having two balconies, but sadly no good views to speak of, however it is set in a nice quiet residential area . The Gallery is only about 5mins from Tenby town & beaches which is ideal for any holiday maker, (no need to take the car) . I would have given the Gallery full marks had there been a garden as advertised and feel the owner could supply more than one tea towel !!! However this did not spoil our holiday & was sad to leave .

The property was a very modern house that was very well equipped and within easy walking distance to the beach.

Very good location. Not far from one of the beaches and the town centre. Nice pub nearby. Ideal walking country and plenty of places to visit. Most enjoyable week.

The duplex apartment was extremely modern and well designed, no expense had been spared in the décor, appliances and furnishings and it had been well maintained.

Lovely, modern spacious apartment, handy for the beach and the town.

This was a perfect place for me to stay with my sister, each with our own bedroom. It is well-equipped and maintained by the owner who lives nearby. It is also beautiful in a modern style and very comfortable. Stair access to apartment, and spiral stair inside, would be a problem for disabled and very young visitors. There isn't really a garden.

Absolutely amazing interior in this property and immaculate throughout! Would highly recommend and already looking to re-book! Really enjoyed our stay and the short walk up to Tenby town centre.

The apartment was a fantastic place to come home to at the end of a fun filled day in and around Tenby. We filled all 7 days of our holiday generally having a fun time. Definitely recommend The Gallery and Tenby for a holiday.

The Gallery is a beautiful property just five minutes from the beach and two minutes from the shops and a wide selection of places to eat out - excellent!

We liked the modern, very large open-plan living area. Well appointed kitchen. Good location, an easy walk into Tenby town or to the beach.

The Gallery was beautiful - really lovely accommodation!

The Gallery is tucked away from traffic but still only a 5 minute walk from the beach, shops and pubs. It is the style and furnishings that make it special. The open layout and feeling of space provided by the full-height window and central spiral staircase to the loft bedroom are superb. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first.

This apartment was in an excellent location with an easy walk into the centre of Tenby. Furnished to a very high standard, clean, modern and very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Excellent apartment.

Everything was as advertised, plus more. Lighting, sofas,unbelievable. Greatest benifit was being walking distance to Tenby, with its many shops, eating places and beaches. Liked least??? Manuals for recycling ,dustbin, or anything to keep the apartment tiptop. [ felt guilty leaving it all to the owner ]

The Gallery was a treat to stay in. Modern, clean, right in the middle of Tenby. I felt like the 'Queen of Sheba' in the oversize bath. Beaches and walks were beautiful, the owner was really friendly. We always try different places for our breaks but would be tempted back to Tenby and the Gallery. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

The property was of a high standard and was set in a convenient location, ie walking distance to Tenby and all its amenities. The owner was also very helpful. Sykes never disappoints!

The Gallery offered a high standard of living accommodation. We had our 6 yr old son with us and so its location being 5 mins from the beach was ideal. We were very lucky with the weather so that added to an excellent experience. Additionally, it was well placed for visiting other sites, such as, castles, folly farm and other such attractions.

The location of the apartment was within walking distance of both Tenby town centre and the beaches. The apartment itself was great, the 2nd floor tub was the best! It was handy having our own parking space.

Best holiday home we have ever stayed in, fantastic place. Whole family loved it!

My wife and I were greeted by the owner, who reviewed appliances, keys, etc and returned later with a couple of walking maps for our use. This Tenby rental, on a quiet inner court yard, is an easy walk into town (~8 minutes). The property is modern and comfortable, with great showers and tubs in the two bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. The spiral stair case adds a touch of elegance to the kitchen, dining room, living room open floor plan. The owner was attentive but not hovering ... Jes helped us with maps, walking suggestions and other small details. This rental is a sparkling gem in the picturesque village of Tenby.

We found the Gallery to live up to our high expectations from the website photos. It is superbly appointed and located in a perfect spot for exploring the Eastern end of the Coastal Path. In a quiet area of the town, it is also only a 10 minute walk from the range of restaurants and shops, the beach and boats. We loved it and fully expect to return if possible.

We had a wonderful stay at The Gallery. A lovely apartment, very clean, comfortable accommodation within walking distance of the centre of Tenby. We couldn't have asked for anything more. A week wasn't long enough.

The owner was attentive to our requests and provided walking recommendations and walking maps of southern Wales. The owner was friendly, professional and helpful. The Gallery was new and well maintained - great shower, well heated, comfortable furniture and wonderful lighting.

Fantastic accommodation, excellently situated to access beach and town. Tenby is a jewel - too many good places to list. Whatever your taste there is something for everyone.

We all thought the position and standard of the property was excellent value and will prompt us to use it again. I particularly liked the cleanliness of it and the use of space. We were lucky that the weather was good and we could just walk in to town. The warm welcome was also greatly appreciated.

My husband and I took our son and daughter-in-law for a week at this lovely apartment in Tenby. The apartment was supplied with everything we could need. We cooked in most nights, because we found a wonderful Farm Shop on the main road out of Tenby and as the kitchen was equipped so well, it made it fun! The beds were comfy and the bedrooms quite spacious. There is such alot to do in the area, although we found the night life in Tenby sadly lacking! The weather was changable, but we still had a great week. We would definately return to this apartment.

Excellent local location. Fantastic walks along the coastal path without having to use the car at all. Cleanest and most picturesque beaches we have seen for a long time.

Fantastic location in a truly beautiful part of Wales.

This was a different experience for a couple in their 70's. Not at all like the cottages we are used to. A nice experience never the less. We soon got used to remote controlls and large leather sofas.

Tenby is idyllic - and the week that we were there we were blessed with the most gorgeous weather. Pembrokeshire is enchanting and has lots to offer its visitors - breathtaking scenery, wonderful eateries and a marvellous welcome from the locals. Our apartment, whilst not wanting in any way for facilities nor design and finish specification, was situated in a DIY enclave the week that we were there. We, the paying guests, had to move our car so that the landlord's sportscar (complete with bricks keeping it from rolling down the hill) could be parked directly outside the premises instead of inside the garage from which it originated! The property, with floor to ceiling glass to one of its aspects, was totally overlooked and lacked privacy - especially from the man in overalls on the cherry picker who was painting the exterior of neighbouring buildings.

Enjoyed staying at this comfortable property with parking (a bonus!) Loved the egg cups! Town and surrounding coast within easy reach - to walk, drive or by coastal bus.

Property was quiet and relaxing; something a little bit different.

Very comfortable, well designed accomodation downstairs, incorporating state of the art media and lighting systems. If you choose to sleep upstairs and are taller than 4'6 then be prepared for a sore head every so often. Its a loft space, and the bedroom is very cramped, although the bathroom space works better. We loved it however and would return there for a holiday. The owner is very helpful and friendly and always at the end of the phone if you have any problems. A very special place to stay.

Nice apartment in a fanstastic location just a 5 minute stroll to Tenby North Beach. A major plus was the parking as peak season this can be difficult in Tenby. The apartment is very well decorated and great furnishing,the owner is very friendly and approachable. Down sides the apartment can get a little hot as it gets the full sun on the glass front which can make the upstair bedroom very warm. Also the kitchen lacked a few basics such as washing up liquid and spare tea towels and could have done with being cleaned more thoroughly before we arrived. Apartment could also have done with a broom or a small hoover as once you got sand on the wooden floor you were kicking around all week. Overall a really nice place to stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

The flat was only a few minutes from the harbour in quiet lane and it was a good startingpoint to visit many lovely castles and gardens. It was great to live here together wit h or english friends.

I liked the open plan living area with slight raised kitchen & the spiral staircase. The house itself is an experience and relaxing. The glass frontage allows the light to flood in. We went in winter, so was quiet but Tenby is great for walking and exploring.

The holiday cottage was brilliant. The owner was helpful and unobtrusive. The whole process from initially booking the holiday with Sykes Cottages to actually arriving was very uncomplicated and stress-free which is what you want from a holiday. It was only a very short walk to the beach and town centre which was exactly what I wanted.

Weather could have been better but our holiday was made by the space, comfort and cleanliness of the property. The Gallery was lovely and a good time was had by all even our nine month old grandson.

The apartment was wonderful and a great central base to either walk into Tenby or to drive around exploring the area. There were a lot of places to eat and drink all situated locally and some wonderful beaches and walks to complete the break. The owner met us on our first day which was a nice personal touch.

A quite superb duplex apartment, 5 minutes walk to Tenby town. Immaculate furnishings and lay out. It doesn't get any better.

The location was close to everything you could walk to, shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches. There was clearly attention to detail with contemporary decor, modern technology and even lights in the spiral staircase! Caldy island was peaceful and soul recharging! Richens fish and chip shop was the best!
