Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage. Yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, galleries and historical attractions there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and great bow-shaped hall, was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is a perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep.

Just got back from this lovely holiday cottage. Stayed for a week and enjoyed exploring the area. Lovely walk down into Conwy across the fields. The cottage was perfect for us and our children. There was plenty of room for all 4 of us. Would recommend this accommodation with no hesitation.
The location of Oakwood Stables was beautiful, lovely views and great walks. The historic town of Conwy very interesting a great place to browse around.
We particularly liked the location of Oakwood Stables; great access for walking and for amenities.
A lovely place, very comfy. Didn't want to leave.
The cottage is very spacious. The lounge, dining area and kitchen are excellent. There is a very good size bedroom with a comfortable king size double bed. The central heating and wood burner ensure that the lounge is very cosy in the evenings, and we enjoyed a very relaxing week. The view of the surrounding countryside is really nice, and there are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby. We will be recommending the property to our friends and family.
We found the accommodation perfect and it was set in a lovely, peaceful area. The owners could not do enough to make us welcome and we will definitely return if possible.
Wonderful accommodation in a quiet lane and just superb walking and views in all directions. We won't hesitate to come back again and have already recommended this to two friends. Thank you for a great stay.
Great location and a lovely property. We have already recommended it to friends!
It was a beautiful little cottage, ideal for 2 for a peaceful weekend retreat. Set in a picture perfect green location and the perfect base for mountain walking, yet still only 5 mins drive from the fantastic town of Conwy. Ticked every box.
This was a great little place; really cosy, spotlessly clean and a real place to chill out - which we did. Appreciated the ability to take the dog too.
Quiet location with plenty of open space, plenty of walks close to the property and within a short driving distance to Conwys main shopping area. The property and location was excellent.
Oakwood stables is an excellent property, we will definitely return in the future.
A very well presented cottage in beautiful and quiet surroundings. Large TV was great! Good eating places nearby. Owners helpful. All in all an excellent cottage to holiday in.
Very peaceful location. The apartment was exactly what we wanted. It really was a home from home and strongly recommend it. Although it's within the grounds of the owner we had full privacy throughout the week which was lovely.
We liked the location of this well equipped cottage, set in the Welsh countryside with views over the hills to the sea beyond. We were very comfortable in this quiet and peaceful setting which was very convenient for visiting other locations in North Wales.
The position/location of the accommodation. Perfect holiday with lots of walks for the dog and within walking distance to Conwy town.
Very welcoming owners and accommodation excellent. We have loved this area of Wales for a long time and found it ideal for going to various places nearby. Love the beaches and surrounding villages.
Fantastic cottage which was spotlessly clean, bright and modern. Very friendly and helpful owners. Spectacular views from the cottage and in fact everywhere you looked. Extremely quiet and peaceful location yet close enough to lots of interesting places and countryside. Bliss!!!
What a lovely place to stay. Very quiet and only minutes from Conwy. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return as there is so much more to see and do.
Everything was very good, there was nothing to dislike. Lovely area and lots of lovely walking.
We Absolutely loved this place for the location, and the cottage was superb.
Our accommodation had the wow factor, it was sparklingly clean, very spacious, extremely comfortable (both the bed and the sofa which was huge). The owners were both friendly and helpful when we needed them. The view was spectacular from the cottage, as was the whole area! There is so much to see and do, as you do not have to go far for main attractions.
The cottage was furnished to a very high standard, and was a true home from home. The owners were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed this location and will return. We have already recommended this location to our friends.
