The village of Anstruther played a major role in Scotland's fishing history, and today is a popular tourist base for enjoying the coastline's attractive walking routes, picturesque villages and good golfing at St Andrew's.
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
A lovely big house full of character not mod cons. In a beautiful part of the country with plenty to see and do. Great pub/restaurant and good transport links also.
This was an interesting character property, really spacious, very close to local attractions and a good centre for exploring other areas too.
Eight adults stayed at this cottage and it suited us extremely well. It was very clean, well appointed and very well equipped. The rooms are large with extremely comfortable and good furniture and in many ways the photographs on your website did not do it justice. We loved the dining table next to the kitchen and spent most our time in there.
This is a lovely house in a lovely location. It is within a good distance from Edinburgh and the central highlands. There is a lot to do in the area of Anstruther. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, the extra small living room was an added bonus. Being able to take a dog was great and the secure garden was lovely. Despite visiting in early spring the house soon warmed up due to good central heating and we enjoyed the open fire!
