The location was ideal for walking in the Dales. The cottage was in a lovely quiet area and finished to a high standard for a cottage. It is well maintained with lots of little touches. Would stay there again.

The cottage itself was cosy with a log fire and thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles. It was extremely clean and met our needs perfectly. The location was absolutely idyllic, with a friendly pub just down the road offering a number of local ales and wonderful food, in portion sizes that we welcomed after working up an appetite with all of the beautiful walking locations nearby! Would definitely recommend staying here if you would like a cosy base to return to after days of walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

This was an ideal cottage for us and our two adult daughters. The owner was very friendly and helpful on the telephone when we booked. It was immaculate and nicely furnished with plenty of room for the four of us. It was also very convenient to have two toilets. On the first evening of our stay we walked from the cottage to the quarry and Maughton nab (which is the view from the kitchen at the cottage). We also bumped into some very friendly neighbours. It is only a very short drive through pleasant scenery to places like Malham or Clapham where we found some beautiful walks. There is a "Booths" supermarket in Settle (5 miles). We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Ideal location for a Christmas break with the family and the dog. The property was well equipped and very clean. We would certainly consider coming back again and we will recommend it to others.

The property was ideally located for us to do the 3 Peaks Challenge being just 2 miles away. There was also a pub literally one minutes walk away. The accommodation was immaculate throughout, very spacious and modern. Impeccably clean and had an excellent range of crockery etc. I would have no hesitation in staying in this property again.

Very comfortable house, newly decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Reasonably priced property and lots of good walking and biking from the door. Friendly and helpful owner, who responded quickly to minor problem. No chance of a sleep-in with steady convoy of lorries for the quarry from around 7am on weekdays.

Well placed for visiting South Yorkshire and lakes. The cottage is well decorated with a log burner, making it cosy on a night. A car ride away from local amenities, about 5miles in to Settle. It was lovely and quiet, there is a pub within walking distance but it was a big let down, only went once.

Cottage was very well equipped and felt like home from home. The local pub (2 minutes walk) is very friendly, and had a good selection of ales. The cottage is very well located, and plenty of walks from Horton.
