The village of Ffarmers sits close to Lampeter, in the north of Carmarthenshire. It was named after the old Farmers' Arms public house, which is now a friendly, community-run pub serving good food. The village also provides a small shop with cafe and a park with a children's play area. Situated in unspoilt countryside, this little Welsh village is a quiet retreat and yet very close to an array of different attractions.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Wales in February is generally cold and wet and this was no exception, but Llety'r Wennol was really cosy. Was nice having the log burner glowing warmly for our arrival. Views from the front of the cottage good and really nice to see the red kite over the fields.
The cottage was excellent, you need a car for sure but that said it was quiet. The owners were very helpful, I would definitely stay again and recommend. Cheers, 5 Star.
We arrived to a beautiful characterful, warm cottage. The owner had the boiler running & the log burner blazing. We enjoyed a wonderful few days, were always lovely & warm in the cottage as the boiler was always running. Couldn't have improved it in any way. Fabulous!
This is a lovely cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was cosy and clean and met all of our needs. The outside toilet, shower and utility room were really useful. The owners met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know about the property. This was an excellent base to explore this area of Wales from.
Beautiful setting, wonderful local scenery a real home from home for us, very comfortable. Great for our Lab and some good walks on the farm land. We would recommend this cottage for the perfect escape. On a first class working farm in the wonderful Welsh countryside. Great welcome pack which contained some delicious Welsh cakes a great little extra. The cottage was very clean, cozy and welcoming and had everything there that you could possibly need. A drive along the local mountain roads is a must as is the drive to Llyn Brianne. We found the Talbot Inn, Tregaron excellent for Sunday lunch. All in all we had a wonderful long weekend and cannot wait to visit Llety'r Wennol again.
