Close to the stunning north west coastline of Anglesey, the small Welsh village of Llanddeusant is set amidst spectacular cliffs and golden, sandy beaches. As the location of the only remaining working windmill in Wales, visitors can enjoy seeing corn being ground the old fashioned way, followed by refreshments in the mill's excellent tea-room. This charming village is a great base for people looking to explore the island due to its central location. Fishing, bird-watching, golf, climbing and water-sport opportunities are all within easy driving distance of this diverse little settlement, whilst those interested in seeing Ireland can enjoy a brief ferry ride to Dublin. Anglesey Sea Zoo, the historic town of Beaumaris and the Menai Strait are all close by and offer visitors with a wide range of activities unique to this glorious area.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Appalled that this property is available for people to rent in its current condition. Very unclean, paint peeling, crumbling walls, dirt and grim all over, shower held up with cable ties rust and mould, just awful state of repair, requires much needed TLC as could be a lovely property. DO NOT BOOK!! AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
Damp, musty and overpriced. Lots of shoddy repair work that based on other reviews, looks like it’s not been fixed yet. Dont believe the good reviews, you are wasting your money and your stay will be spoilt.
Converted from a cowshed or similar, the cottage is mostly on the ground floor with an interesting 'snug' on the first floor which we never got round to using. Our original plans changed thanks to Covid-19 so there were only 3 of us and the dog, so plenty of beds to choose from and enough seating to eat and to relax. If we had filled the place to capacity, eating or sitting together would have been more difficult. Kitchen was well-equipped - again might have been a bit stretched if catering for 8 - and there was always plenty of hot water for baths and showers after a day's walking the Anglesey Coastal Path. The dog loved the garden, which was walled/fenced and secure. Location perfect for getting anywhere on the island. Lovely outlook with the lake to one side and views to Holyhead and the ferry terminal on the other. Village shop is a couple of miles away and it was about 13 minutes to a big Tesco store. The owners could not have been more helpful and we have already made a 2021 booking to complete the coast path
Nice views. Lots of space for family. But filthy and tired. No airer. Bed linen was smelly. Potentially lovely.
The family fell in love with the house and would certainly rent again. It was very spacious; plenty of drawer & wardrobe space in the bedrooms beds comfy and TV's in 2 of the 4 rooms. Kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. Lovely warm and welcoming living-room with big impressive fireplace and conservatory that ran the full length of living room. We were able as a family to each find our own space whilst staying connected. Have rented many holiday cottages over the years but none as good as this one.
The location of the property is well suited to anyone who wants to relax and take in the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. The cottage is very comfortable and enables you to enjoy a very restful holiday.
Llys Llywenan is an absolutely amazing home, if there was more than excellent we would give it. It is a beautiful cottage with an amazing view from both sides. The cottage have such a lovely character of it is own and the furnishings of the cottage are to a very high standard. A detached property which meant we could open all curtain and blinds to enjoy the view while maintaining our privacy. The garden view was amazing as well you can never get bored of it, we didn't want to leave.
The property has good space, the family could not believe the many options it provided, particularly as the 'family' covered three generations.
Llys Llywenan exceeded our expectations. It is a large, comfortable cottage situated in a quiet rural location with lovely views. It is clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting in the snug which has views over a lake, and the conservatory which overlooks the beautiful back garden and fields.
Spent a week at this holiday cottage in July and didn't want to leave! Very comfortable and modern interior with a lovely large enclosed garden and plenty of parking. It has wifi which works and a decent mobile phone signal. The location is very good being within easy reach of the A55 making it easy to visit all parts of Anglesey. We never tired of the views - from the kitchen and conservatory you can see across countryside and watch ferries leaving Holyhead in the distance- from the upstairs sitting room there is a lovely view across the lake. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, the sitting rooms and conservatory are very comfortable with a TV each and the bedrooms have lots of storage space.(two of the four bedrooms have TVs) . Very clean and modern throughout.
