The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
This is one of the cosiest places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. It was perfect for my partner and I, and being situated in the lovely village of Bradwell was an added bonus. The owners had literally thought of everything to make our stay perfect, there is a handy folder with all the information you could possibly wish for on the surrounding area as well as facilities within the village. There were also handy laminated notes dotted around advising on specific things within the cottage. We had a fantastic week exploring the area and it was a pleasure to return "home" at the end of each day. We didn't really want to leave this quaint little place and will definitely be booking again when we return to the area. Many Thanks!!
A clever conversion of what I imagine was once a small farm building.Perfect for 1 person but rather awkward at times for 2 especially in the kitchen if one of you is washing and the other drying! I would suggest eating out as much as possible. It's lovely having the outside space but it isn't very private.
The cottage was a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the surrounding countryside. We had a very relaxing holiday and visited many of the surrounding villages.
Such a lovely, tiny cosy cottage; a perfect retreat for a couple. Also loved the village, just far enough away from civilisation but still close enough to explore the surroundings.
We loved our stay at Sunny Bank View. It was tiny, but perfect for two. Everything was very clean - it passed my very picky bathroom standards! Had lovely clean sheets and towels, too. It had not been over modernised, the furniture blended with the period of the house which was nice to see. A good area for walking or accessing local attractions.
Sunny Bank View is a very clean and comfortable cottage in a quiet village location. Small and bijou... perfect retreat.
A beautiful cosy cottage in a perfect location.
Lovely location in a pretty village. Cosy with open fire in evenings.
This booking was for a little romantic get away, our requirements were for a character property in a beautiful area with an open fire. Sunny Bank View delivered on all of those. The sheets were as crisp and clean as the sheets you find in big name chain hotels and the towels were thick and good quality.
This booking was for a little romantic get away. Our requirements were for a character property in a beautiful area with an open fire. This little cottage delivered on all of those. The owners left extensive instructions on how everything works and the instructions on how to find the cottage in the warren of little building and streets was invaluable. There were even basic tea and coffee supplies. The sheets were as crisp and clean as the sheets you find in big name chain hotels and the towels were thick and good quality. There is nothing huge about this little jewel of a cottage, it tiny and quaint and petite, the ceilings are low and the stairs require you to duck to get to the second floor but thats because its a really old cottage full charm. The owners had thought of almost everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
"The cottage was comfortable and welcoming. The area itself is quaint and friendly and there were some beautiful walks nearby."
A perfect little cottage in which to spend a few days in the beautiful Peak District. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, and felt like home - we were sad to leave! Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet, friendly locals, and beautiful views - a lovely Valentine's weekend!
Location, location, location! Simple access by using the key safe. Loved the real fire & the fact that coal and kindling were provided. You even managed to arrange a good covering of snow which was beautiful.
The cottage was very nice and cosy! It was the perfect holiday for us. We would recommend it to everybody who likes walking and relaxing in front of an open wood fire over Christmas.
Liked the location & view of the surrounding Peak District & the cosy idyllic cottage.
We loved this little cottage - it was the perfect place to get away. It was smart and in keeping with what we had hoped for and we felt at home there from the first day.
The cottage itself was warm, comfortable and well equipped, it was also in a very quiet area. The little garden was perfect for viewing the Para-gliders flying off the Edge.
Sunny Bank was well described by Sykes Cottages. There were some thoughtful touches in the cottage by the owners. The location was superb, in a village with good amenities and we could watch the hand gliders from the garden on a sunny evening!
The cottage was lovely and in a great location for us to go walking from. On sunny days it was lovely to have somewhere to sit outside with a cup of tea and a glass of wine. The view from the bedroom, without even having to get out of bed, was stupendous!
