A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
Immaculately clean and comfortable accommodation which provided a perfect base for our family and two dogs as we visited the area for the first time.
Really lovely cottage well equipped, very clean and everything you needed catered for including a very nice garden area. The owner made us very welcome.
We had an excellent time at The Olde Cow Shed - the accommodation was very comfortable and it was a beautifully renovated property. It was spacious and everything we needed was available and more. Very happy to recommend this property.
I and my family were amazed at the cleanliness and the first impression of the building, everywhere was so clean. I can only say this was one of our TOP HOLIDAY HOMES, I would certainly go back and I will definitely recommend The Olde Cow Shed, excellent value top accommodation.
The cottage was larger than expected, the photos don't do it justice! The location was good and the owner was really helpful and welcoming. We would return without hesitation.
This was our second visit and everything had been beautifully prepared for us so that we were extremely comfortable. Local places to eat and visit are very easy to get to and we did some local walks too.
Very comfortable accommodation with everything needed provided and of good quality. A lovely area for walking and visiting. It was peaceful and relaxing.
Made very welcome with fresh milk, a bottle of wine and a sponge cake on arrival. Very friendly and helpful owners.
The very kind friendly touch of the owners who had left us a beautiful vase of flowers, a cake, some wine and milk in the fridge. All of this means so much. We loved the games room and all the books and DVDs and games in the house. There is a lovely bathroom upstairs too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Quiet, beautiful location just 10 minutes drive from Craven Arms. The complimentary wine, cakes and chocolates were appreciated.
Everything in the The Olde Cowshed has been designed for a 'home from home' experience and all in a high standard of finish. It has been described as an oasis of calm, and it really is. There was a lovely welcome when we arrived and the owners were really helpful when approached.
The accommodation was cosy and nicely presented and fully equipped. There was plenty of room in The Olde Cowshed which is nicely laid out giving 2 separate sleeping/bathing areas if you are visiting with another couple. The location is rural with lovely views.
Great attention to detail and comfort.
Excellent location for walking and visiting the nearby towns. The cottage was well appointed, nice and cosy particularly in the heavy snowfalls during the week.
The family that own the cottages were just brilliant. They were at hand to help with anything we needed and when I left part of my blender in one of the cottages, they posted it back to me and didn't even charge me for the postage. They were just fantastic. The cottages were beautiful and we are already planning when we will visit again as the area and walks in Shropshire were fantastic as well. Incredibly comfortable place to stay and reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be visiting again.
The whole area is peaceful and it's an excellent area for walking. There are also some excellent places to eat in the area.
