An Kres, Mevagissey

An Kres was a wonderful place to stay. The owners were very welcoming on arrival. It is situated in a beautiful place with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Would recommend.

An Kres is good accommodation with everything provided, it's like home from home. Clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The property was near enough to walk to the harbour but in a nice quiet road. Couldn't have asked for a nicer property, it is well decorated and deceivingly spacious. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely return to this property.

We were very happy at An Kres, it would be hard to find a better base for our holiday. All in all, if we go to Cornwall again we wouldn't hesitate to stay at An Kres again, the owners are very nice and nothing was too much trouble.

What a surprise we had when we arrived to this place. Situated in the harbour town of Mevagissey, this cottage was an absolute delight. The owners are very pleasant and left us to it the entire week which shows we did not have any issues. Everything was available to us. We had our dog too who loved the coast. There was lots to see and not enough time, we will be returning for a second visit next year no doubt. This is a must see place if you haven't already visited and this cottage I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Cornwall. It was close to everything we wanted to see. An ideal place for a couple and their dog.

This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in. It is obvious the owners take pride in their properties and wish their visitors to enjoy the time spent in them. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful places to visit and the weather was not bad for March. Well done the owners of An Kres.

A great cottage; very well decorated, extremely clean and had a nice secure garden for our puppy to run around in. Would happily recommend this cottage.

A lovely place to stay, the perfect location and had everything we needed. Mevagissey is the most beautiful place in Cornwall. Lovely walks, great food and so much character.

The accommodation lived up to our expectations in every way. The owners were extremely helpful with setting us up with WiFi and giving us advice regarding local roads, eating places etc.

This is a fabulous accommodation, extremely clean and in a peaceful location. This is the second time we have stayed here and hope to be back for a third time. Just can't fault it!

Great cottage. Mevagissey is a lovely place to stay and explore the area. Great walks on the cliff tops - walked nearly 100 miles in the week.

The comfort of the holiday cottage was just like being at home. This was the most perfect level of comfort, cleanliness and freedom of any holiday we have had so far.

Accommodation was perfect, spotless, and well furnished. Location was good, and owners very friendly and helpful.

The accommodation was extremely clean and well presented and very comfortable and cosy. We received a warm welcome from the owners, and although they were on hand for any requirements we may have had, they were not in your face. We would highly recommend for a visit to Cornwall with its lovely fishing ports, sandy beaches and cliff walks. Also lots of entertaining and beautiful places to visit.

The property was located in a very quiet location at the top of the village. The accommodation was extremely clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful week at An Kres. The standard of accommodation is exceptional, extremely clean and we'll equipped. It's set within walking distance to the harbour, it is a steep climb back up, but don't let that put you off as the tranquillity of the location is well worth the effort. There is a small rear garden perfect for chilling out or eating breakfast on a nice summers morning. We travelled with our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and hope to return again next year.

We loved everything - where we stayed and all the places we managed to visit. My first visit and look forward to coming back, staying in the same place and revisiting places and seeing new places too.

The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful, there is a lovely garden to sit in, which gets the sun all day. It was a short walk to Mevagissey, where there were plenty of shops and the quay side, where we spent a lovely time watching the boats. It is a good base to drive to see the surrounding area, all within an hours drive.

We found the position of an Kres ideal. The welcome was very warm and friendly from the owners and the cottage had every modern convenience one could wish for. It was very comfortable and had easy access to the village of Mevagissey and was not far from all the main roads to the rest of Cornwall. The nearby gardens of Helligon were wonderful and a treat not to be missed.

Mevagissey is a lovely place to stay and an ideal base for coastal walks and visiting other quaint resorts and fishing harbours. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. The property is situated in a quiet location with parking which is a bonus.

The cottage was really nice, very quiet and peaceful. Very nice welcome from the owner, showed us around and then left us to enjoy our holiday! Would certainly book it again if we go down there to stay. Good centre to explore the area.

We thought the location of An Kres was perfect and the owners were very friendly and most helpful, while not being at all intrusive. One of the most well maintained and equipped cottages that we have ever been to and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

The welcome was warm and friendly, and the owners didn't encroach on my space. This property is the benchmark to which all the others should aspire.

The accommodation had everything you could ask for and as we had such terrible weather, on very bad days it was very comfortable just to spend the time in the cottage. The owners were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Overall it was good. This place is rather a community. It felt like I was home. I was expecting something slightly secluded.

Luxury accomodation with more mod cons than i have at home! Quiet location which is am n is deal base to explore beautiful cornwall. Owners are very helpful people and welcomed my little dog. If you can book this don't hesitate as it will be snapped ip. Definately stay again and wholeheartedlyn recommend

Friendly and helpful owners, comfortable accommodation in quiet location. Whilst An Kres was in a residential street and I had my concerns it is in fact the perfect location as its quiet and easy to park but close to the town and major access routes for days out.

The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. We enjoyed many coastal walks and enjoyed visiting the surrounding areas.

This property provided everything we could have hoped for in a Cornish fishing village. The owners are very friendly and quick to offer useful advice on where to visit and shop, and the property could not be faulted. It was ideal for exploring the middle of Cornwall with Heligan on the doorstep and many other Cornish gardens and attractions within easy travelling distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property was clean and modern and had most things required for a rental property. Mevagissey is a lovely place but be prepared for the big hills.

An excellent base for 2 people. The owners gave us a friendly welcome and helpful information. Best place to eat was The Salamander but do book beforehand. Stiff 1 in 4 hill up from Mevagissey, 20 mins up from harbour. Much to do - walking on coast path and inland, gardens, National Trust houses, China Clay museum near St Austell.

We loved the cottage, the harbour, Mevagissey and the many places we visited during the week.

The 'cottage' was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and helpful. The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is that it was little further out of the town than we thought and not as private as we would have liked.

Great property which was like 'home from home'. Very well appointed, modern, very clean & nicely furnished. Garden small but gets the sun all day at some part & due to fab weather we were able to eat all meals outside. Good location in very quiet residential street, very steep hill down to/up from village which was OK for us as we are very fit & enjoy walking! The owners who live next door are exceptionally friendly & helpful, if required. We had a great time !!

It was nice to have a private outdoor space and the owners were really friendly and approachable.

I loved the cottage and the location. The scenery and the different places to explore were truly amazing. I would love to come back again. The ferry to Fowey was wonderful. The cottage was very well furnished and clean which was important especially because we have an 8 month baby with us. The owners were very helpful and were very kind.

Very clean, well appointed and comfortable accommodation in a stunning area of natural beauty. Lots to see and do locally.

Everything had been provided for our stay in new condition; it was quiet, select and convenient as we did not mind walking the 25% climb up the hill from the port and quayside, but this might be a problem for some. Parking in town is expensive. There is so much to see and do within a short car ride.A memorable holiday week !

The location was excellent, though you'd need to be very determined to walk into the centre of Mevagissey. Proximity to St Austell was also useful. The apartment itself was modern and clean, definitely well looked after. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, perfect after a long day out. The owners, who live next door, are very easy going and approachable.

Everything was shiny and new. Fresh fish available daily from 12 noon at the quayside.

It was great. The accommodation was first class, could not have asked for anything better.

The garden was ideal for two adults. The food at the Crown Inn at St. Elmes was very good. We found everyone in the area very friendly.
