We stayed there for a week with my 2 year old and my elderly parents. The host almost made us feel like a 2nd home. They a pet dog jack and cat I should say that I have never seen such lovey trained dog. My toddler wakes up everyday to go out and play with Jack. This place have amazing views. You can see horse and sheep from the window..
This is a lovely little cottage with a very friendly and helpful owner offering advice on things to do. It is in a good location for access to all areas of the Peak District. We would definitely return and recommend.
The location is in a beautiful part of the Peak District within easy access of all the popular attractions and places of interest. The cottage has a lovely homely feel with ample room for all the family. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and a virtual home from home. The owners are friendly and more than happy to assist with any request. We are more than happy to recommend to this cottage to other holiday makers.
A really lovely place to stay - would definitely go again!
In a lovely location, remote and therefore peaceful but easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. We have stayed in around 30 holiday cottages over the past 20 years and this was definitely one of the best.
The cottage is superbly situated in a beautiful part of the Peak District. The cottage is opposite open fields filled with lively lambs and has a view of the hills to the east. It is within easy driving distance of the attractive and interesting village of Tideswell which has a range of shops, including a good second hand bookshop, butcher, greengrocer, cafes and pubs. The owner was very sociable and helpful. There are several attractive pubs in the area, particularly the 'Barrel' which is great for food. It was very peaceful!
My cousin and I had a lovely holiday in this cottage, it was warm and inviting. The owner was very pleasant and friendly.
We loved the stunning property and the location. The owners are very friendly. We had a wonderful experience staying at The Parlour.
The property is very pretty, snug and cute. Everything you could want from a cottage and much more. Utility and toilet outside the property door are a lovely touch and ideal for use when the kids get desperate! The outside space is gorgeous and loads of safe play for little ones with the added extra of the paddock opposite when the kids went with their adult big brother. The outside is pretty beyond words and really relaxing. The owners are genuine and lovely. Their gorgeous horses are a lovely added bonus and the whole farm is gorgeous, clean and welcoming.
The cottage was very warm and cosy, with everything we needed. The views were perfect and the Owner was very friendly. We very much hope to return to this cottage in the future.
It was perfect, thanks.
Excellent property, extremely snug and cosy. Just right for a couple or a small family. The owner is friendly. We were particularly impressed with how well-equipped the kitchen was, with all the cooking utensils and appliances you could wish for!
Lovely views, lots of places in easy distance to explore. Quiet and relaxing.
Location of property ideal for exploring the surrounding area.
Had a lovely week staying here. The owner has thought about and tried to provide everything you would need over and above the usual bed linen, toilet roll etc. The high chair already in the cottage was too small for our grand-daughter so Wendy, the owner, made sure that a bigger one was made available. She suggested and provided a bbq, parasol and table-tennis table for us to use, which we thought was a lovely touch (she didn't have to provide these extras). The cottage was clean, well maintained and decorated. This cottage was a good base for exploring the area from - Tideswell, Bakewell, Buxton, Eyam and more were only a short drive away. The owners had also provided lots of information for the area - maps, where to eat, where to shop, where to visit, information about the area, and lots of leaflets - spoiled for choice and not short of ideas. The cottage also had wifi available which was not shown on the website that we booked from. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
We really found that the facilities left nothing to be desired and catered for all our needs. A very comfortable and cosy cottage!
