A great holiday cottage, fully equipped to a high standard. It is in a fantastic, peaceful location and the owner was very helpful and friendly. It is certainly one of the best holiday cottages I have ever stayed in. The property is a great base for exploring the coast, mountains, countryside and many gardens in the area. Truly magical.

Have just returned home after a fabulous week staying in Ty Nant. The owners, Lynda & Arwel, have gone to extraordinary lengths to provide everything required for the stay and nothing was was too much trouble. Lynda provided a welcome tray of her excellent home baking plus strawberries & cream in the fridge. Although the weather was not kind to us we explored the beautiful area with the knowledge that there was exceptional accommodation waiting for us back at Ty Nant. Arwel offered to take us up to the top field in his pick up to view the surrounding countryside and although the weather and time sadly defeated us, this was a very kind offer in his very busy farming schedule. Thanks again and we will certainly be going back!

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was very well appointed and in a fantastic location for visiting places around North Wales. The cottage is located on a working farm which our two year old daughter found very interesting, and for which the owners generously took time out to offer us a tour. This is a very tranquil location and we would love to go back to this cottage in the future.

It was the best bed we've had anywhere, it was very comfortable, the settees were very comfortable also. It was immaculately clean and warm with a good shower. The best property we've ever stayed in!

Great location, views, facilities and things to do. We stayed for a week in early February with 3 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby and would highly recommend this cottage. It was really well set up for us and the owners were friendly and helpful - unloading our internet shopping before we arrived, showing the children round the farm to collect eggs, allowing us to sledge down the hill and taking us to the top of the farm for stunning snow-capped mountain views. We enjoyed log fires, cooking in the well equipped kitchen, local curry take-away, so much to see and do (though a shame some attractions close in winter).

What can we say, it's took a long time but it's been amazing...... The hosts and owners are fantastic and so friendly, had absolutely brilliant time. Was fantastic to see arwel in the morning with his cows working on the farm. So clean and well presented the cottage we found it hard to leave. Views are stunning and the walks were lovely and something different everyday. The owners were more than accommodating felt like we had known them years. Short of nothing......it was the best place in Wales to stay so far. Biker friendly and not judgemental. Even have a pool table too in the outbuilding. One of the best nights sleep I've ever had....... Amazing..... Love it

Ty Nant was a fantastic find. The cottage is beautiful inside and there is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We arrived in the dark and Mr Evans came and showed us everything we needed to see. Mrs Evans and baked us some beautiful cakes and biscuits and the open fire was already roaring away. The house was festively decorated with a tree and lots of Christmas touches which we loved. My two year old daughter loved all the space. This was the perfect place away from the crowds but within driving distance to anything you might want to see. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have a nice stay. They even allowed my daughter to go and see all of the animals. This place is gorgeous and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.

Ty Nant is a beautiful well equipped farm cottage in a super location on a hill top farm. The owners could not be nicer and will make your stay one to remember, from the super baked goodies, to involving you with the animals and stunning scenery. This included the owner taking my wife, my seven year old daughter and myself to the top of the farm in their 4x4 to watch a memorable sunset over Snowdon. We were all sad to leave and Ty Nant is certainly a place we would return to without hesitation.

The cottage was fantastic, the owners couldn't have been nicer and the situation was perfect. One of the reasons for picking the property was the open fire, for which all fuel was provided, and it made the lounge a wonderful place to relax in. The kids loved the pool table and the standard of the cottage was amazing. We did not want for anything - even home-made cakes available to order and you can't beat warm cherry scones delivered to your door!!

This is our fourth visit to Ty Nant and I'm sure it will not be our last. The cottage is home from home, peaceful, comfortable and perfect; it wouldn't bother us if we didn't leave the cottage all week. Walks from your doorstep without having to use the car if that's what you want to do. We love it being a working farm and getting to see the calves and lambs being born is just amazing. The owners are perfect hosts which make it a great cottage.

I was attending a course nearby and looking for accommodation that would suit my young family, two dogs, and my parents, at a reasonable price - not an easy task as it turned out. However, then I found Ty Nant and it seemed perfect. On arrival after a long drive the owners had gone out of their way to decorate the cottage for us for Christmas; a freshly cut decorated christmas tree, lights and a roaring log fire awaited us inside. We were blown away by how comfortable and homely the place was and would have loved to have stayed much longer. We were treated to home baking on arrival in the beautiful kitchen and the dogs loved their space by the open fire. The only two downsides of my stay were that it was too short and that I spent most of my time away on my course, missing out on the many things to do in the area. I really hope we will be back to this superb place and gorgeous part of the world

Having stayed in numerous holiday cottages, probably about 3 a year, this has to be amongst the very top. It is spotlessly clean, a lovely welcome from the owners awaits along with milk, flowers, fresh cakes, fluffy white bathrobes and slippers! The farm is enchanting and it was lovely to be able to have a roaring fire. The owners go above and beyond the call of duty by letting you know about local places, taking you around the farm to the beauty spots and letting you feed the lambs. The holiday was just perfect!

Rated by Ms Cross reviewed on 22nd April 2012

Wow, what a find. Ty Nant is everything it claims to be and some, remote enough to feel miles from suburbia yet only minutes drive to shops and restaurants. Located in the middle of a working farm with views over a field of sheep (and new born lambs during our visit) to the rear and looking over the valley to Llanberis to the front you can feel the stress leave your body the second you arrive. We were met by Linda on our arrival and showed round the property, it was spotlessly clean with a roaring open fire and home made cakes putting the finishing touches to it. Both owners are lovely and can't do enough for you, we went to the top of the farm in the farm 4*4 and were amazed at the views across Snowdonia, it's absoloutely breathtaking. We took our two dogs with us and this property proved to be perfect for them too, a secured garden allowed them to roam around freely and there are plenty of local walks, even the lane through th farm is gorgeous. The surrounding area is amazing, we travelled to various of the coastal towns, Anglesey (Llanddwyn) and Llanberis for the long walk up Snowdon, such a feeling of achievement once that was completed. All that remains to do now is to book another visit

Rated by Bradersley reviewed on 24th March 2012

Another warm welcome to Ty Nant from the owners. The cottage was decorated and all set for a very comfortable family Christmas - home away from home. You do not want for anything in this beautiful cottage. The owner thinks of everything. Although we did not have the magical snow this year we were able to get out and do some more adventurous walks in the wonderful Snowdonia National Park. Being able to share our Christmas holiday with our dog is also very special.

We received a warm welcome and there were flowers on the table together with a selection of homemade cakes. The cottage was beautiful, nicely decorated, very clean and very comfortable. We had a log fire every day. There was never any shortage of logs provided by the owner. We would like to return to the area and will not look at any other cottages before booking this one. We would recommend this cottage to anyone. The autumn scenery was stunning.

The owners were outstanding hosts and went way and above the call of duty. The cottage was exceptional in every respect as listed on your form and we can honestly say we have never had a better self-catering holiday. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to any one thinking of taking a holiday in this part of Wales.

We were very impressed by the surrounding scenery, cleanliness, comfort, size, lovely furnishings, complete kitchen (++), genuine friendliness of the owners and central location of the cottage (only a few minutes drive from Betws-y-Coed, other charming villages, and Tree Tops adventure, 30-40 minutes drive from great mountain biking in Coed Brenin Forest). Like walking into your own home! Highly recommend this place as a great base for discovering Northern Wales and Snowdonia National Park.

This is a beautiful old cottage and the welcome from the owners is terrific. There was a lovely blazing log fire awaiting us and the kettle was already on for a cup of tea. Because we had already visited last year, the owner remembered our Grandchildren's names and she had made 3 Welsh dragon biscuits with their names iced on them. The kids were delighted. They are already asking if we can go back again next year.

The cottage exceeded all expectations in every area. The owner and family made us feel so welcome. Excellent area with good facilities close by. Small area = garden

The cottage owner was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the property. Both her and her husband were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The cottage was lovely and clean but not cluttered there was everything we needed plus extra touches such as fresh flowers and milk and cake, biscuits on arrival.

We all enjoyed the holiday and were made very welcome by the owners; the home made cakes were a treat on our arrival. This is the best place we have ever stayed as we wanted for nothing. Will be going back next year, even the dogs enjoyed their time there.

Having stayed in holiday cottages throughout the UK we found this property to be the best yet. The attention to detail by the owners, made us feel it was a property we could have lived in 365 days a year. The furnishing and finishing off of the property is first class. The open fire, in the lounge, on a chilly evening soon warmed the property. A glass of wine in the warmth and romantic setting, witha four poster bed to retire to, what more could a couple wish for. The attention to small details, for instance fresh baked cakes on arrival and a trip round the owners land to show off even better views, indicated that the owners wanted us to enjoy our stay. The property is situated near the busy town of Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia, but felt a million miles from the busy lives we all lead. There were plenty of beautiful quiet walks to enjoy nearby with our English Setter dogs. The stone floor in the utility area and kitchen would have been great for drying wet dogs, but we enjoyed lovely sunny weather. In writing a review we are asked to state what we liked least of all. This property makes it impossible to file that part of the review. We would have no hesitation in using this property again and would recommend it to others, especially those with dogs.
