Accommodation Details

Three bedrooms: 1 x twin (accessed via loft ladder), 1 x ground floor double, 1 x ground floor single. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin & WC. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area & sitting area with doors to veranda.

A detached timber chalet in an elevated position overlooking the spa village of Strathpeffer. Cosy accommodation, superb alternative to the usual Scotland cottages. Note: This cottage is next to Ref. 3558 and together they accommodate 9.

The lovely little spa town of Strathpeffer grew up after the discovery of exceptionally pure springs in the 18th Century. The waters were declared the healthiest in Britain in 1819 and the town burgeoned from there. The pavilion has been restored and is now used as a venue for events including concerts, dramas and live theatre. The former railway station was built in the Victorian times and it now serves as home to The Highland Museum of Childhood and craft workshops. Holiday makers can still sample the water in the old pump house, which is also a Tourist Information point. There are lovely walks to explore nearby and Strathpeffer is super base for a holiday as it is close to many attractions and only 20 miles from the thriving city of Inverness.
