Loved everything about staying in the Granary. The owner, Will, treats his guest like family. We loved taking walks and waking up to see the sheep and cows. The views are spectacular. One hint: the place is down a long winding gravel road. We arrived at night and the lights were on and Will was waiting. This was our base for two weeks and we loved taking long drives and coming back and lighting a fire. Nearby is the town of Lismore. The Lismore Castle is privately owned and only open 6 months of the year. If you can, plan a visit.

The Granary was our week stay in Waterford. An awesome cottage on a beautiful working farm and apple grove. The views are stunning and all you expect to see in Ireland, incredibly peaceful and serene. Chloe, the cat, was a warm pet for the week and Rosie, the donkey was enjoyable:). A calf was born during our stay and was a treat to see the first few days of life. The cottage is warm and inviting, with a fireplace and all needed amenities except a clothes dryer (although, one was made available in the other home next door) and a hair dryer. Willie, the owner, was so warm, welcoming, helpful and a pleasure! Bed linens were especially appreciated and speak to Irish quality. We are grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the farm, views and laid back lifestyle in a slower lane, it renews your soul. You won't be disappointed, here!

The cottage was so quiet and peaceful even though this is a working farm. From being woken up by the local wildlife to going to sleep listening to the farm animals, it was total heaven. Willy the owner is such a nice and helpful person in fact all of the people we met where really nice and helpful, they where always prepared to stop and have a chat or if you wanted they would always be available in the background leaving you to your own devices.

The welcome and helpfulness of the owner was spot on, he gave us excellent info on The Granary. He was also very helpful on the local area and beyond. It was brilliant to see the working farm and have encouragement to go into the fields and see the animals. A brilliant place to chill out and spend time away!

We visited Ireland in March 2014 & stayed at the Granary for 2 weeks. Could not have picked a better a place to stay. The owner Willie McDonnell was a real nice man, very helpful & courteous. Although you are on a working farm, this did not spoil our vacation in any way at all, if fact is was nice to see all the new lambs running around to fields which surround the cottage. The cottage is nicely located within an easy drive of all the area has to offer, which is a lot . We liked it so much in Ireland that we are moving there soon. Barrie & Maureen Pook.

A brilliant holiday. The cottage was exceptionally presented and the views breathtaking. We found the cottage to be ideally situated for exploring the S.East of Ireland. The owner was a joy. He was friendly, helpful and informative about the area without being intrusive.

We stayed in The Granary for one week in June 2011 - welcomed by the nicest man ever Willie. He made us feel very welcome and talked us through everything we might need to know about the house and the neighbouring area. We had our 3 year old Grandson with us and he loved it and Rosie THE DONKEY being the favourite with him - such a lovely donkey. - he also loved seeing the calfs, cows and sheep. We travelled all over the South of Ireland during our week and cant say enough about how friendly everyone we found everyone. Cant wait to get back to visit sometime in the future. Doing our best to get back later this year. Also looking at bringing some people I work with down for a short break . Thank-you to Willie.

Peaceful and relaxing in an amazingly beautiful setting. This is the best equipped holiday cottage that we have ever stayed in. Also the owner, Mr MacDonnell, is most welcoming and extremely helpful in his advice on the surrounding area.
