Just a short drive away is the bustling village of Alfreton, which has supermarkets, shops and a post office. The village of Crich is four miles away and was known as Cardale in the TV series Peak Practice. The National Tramway Museum is also situated in Crich. The village also boasts shops, pubs and fantastic walks. The popular town of Matlock is only eight miles away, on the edge of the Peak District.
