Everything was excellent and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We had great holiday, a fantastic base for exploring northern Kent
Lovely comfortable accommodation, very welcoming on arrival . This property was a very good base for touring around the area. We chose to use our car as we like to explore and find new places. If however you don't want to use your car then there is a very good bus service.
Excellent weather for a start, good position of cottage for the use of the very good bus service to visit many places. Very welcoming and friendly owners with helpful suggestions.
We used this place as a base to go out on day and half day trips arourd Kent. The old dairy was just right for the two of us,we used the decked area to sit out on for meals and just to relax. The accomodation was very clean and well equipped for two people. The village shop has the basics (wine, food, papers ETC).There are two pubs in the village, neither do food .We found some good places to eat in Herne bay and Whitstable. We used the bus to go to Canterburry and back, didn,t cost very much more than the car park would have cost for the day. Kent has lots of small town that are full of history ,well worth a visit, we intend to use the old dairy again
Very nice owners who live next door. An excellent free house 2 minutes walk away the Butchers arms is a must if you like real ale. the old dairy is well located for the attractions of Canterbury and Whitstable. we enjoyed our stay.
The owners were lovely people, the garden was big. The Butchers Arms across from the church is highly recommended. Real ale only served. The location is great for touring from.
The beautiful cottage and garden gave us a lovely living space. It was conveniently situated for using the excellent local bus services into Canterbury and also to the coast. The owners made us very welcome. Would certainly recommend The Old Dairy to others.
A change of scenery and an opportunity to visit places we had never before been. The Old Dairy was comfortable and well furnished and equipped. The owners were most friendly and helpful.
Very warm welcome, marvellous cottage and lovely garden area. Great area to explore, lots of literature available including OS map! and history of the local area. Milk and cakes in fridge very enjoyable after a long journey! Owners utterly charming plus Keltic, the softest dog on planet Earth. We shall certainly be back!
Great base for exploring Kent and local tourist spots.
Locality very good - a quiet area, very relaxed. The owners were very helpful and approachable. The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. Park and Ride excellent for Canterbury. Herne is a good location as a centre.
We thought that the owners of the Old Dairy were friendly and very helpful and gave us good advice on where to visit, all of which made our stay all the more enjoyable.
We enjoyed cycling around the local countryside.
We liked the cottage because it was central for touring, the facilities were excellent and the owners were very helpful and friendly.
The owners went out of their way to provide a warm welcome. Lots of info provided on places to visit etc. Fantastic bus service runs past the property every 10 mins, arrived Sat & didn't use the car until we went home. Excellent walking routes close by.
The Old Dairy cottage provides a very good base for visiting around Kent.
The location was perfect for touring round Kent. The Old Dairy was comfy and cosy with the added bonus of cake and a cup of tea waiting for us when we first arrived.
This was our first visit to Kent and we didn't know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. We totally enjoyed touring around and visiting places of interest. We love Cornwall and have been going there for many years but we will now add Kent to our list of places to visit.
The garden is great for young children. Very welcoming and helpful owners.
Very friendly host family. Quiet location. Cottage had a cosy feel about it. The secluded decking area was a nice place to relax.
The Old Dairy was comfortable and cosy, the owners were very friendly and helpful. It was a very good base from which to tour North and East Kent. The Butcher's Arms was a most unusual pub for us but a delight.
The area was lovely and very convenient to pubs. Taking the bus to Canterbury was much better than driving there. There was a lot to see and do.
This is our fourth time using Sykes listed accommodation and we are delighted with the consistent high standard of the cottages. The owners on this occasion, were extremely helpful in every way and we can not praise them highly enough. Well done to Sykes, again!
A lovely, cosy, little love nest and the owners were so helpful and kind, kept a discreet distance to allow us our privacy. There with anything we needed, all in all a fantastic little hideaway with excellent access to all the beaches. The garden was delightful.
