Love this place, I look forward to my Welsh holiday every year and it’s always amazing. Amazing owners and friendly animals. We love getting reacquainted with the animals, seeing how things have changed and having a good chat with Stuart and Andrea. This year was especially special as our daughter passed her driving test in Carmarthen!!

I’d be the first to admit that my life is complex and the last couple of years harder than most years have been. We found Abercorran Farm a few years ago and have returned every year since. At Abercorran we find a sense of peace and tranquility which allows us to relax and refocus. The cottages are spacious and well equipped. Owners are just amazing, helpful and informative. As for the aminals I have to walk round and say hello when we arrive and then the day we leave it’s an emotional goodbye till next year. Every year we find a new corner of this area of Wales to explore.

We stayed at Meadow View early October 2018, what a lovely place. The owners were very welcoming, the farm is located down a track and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Meadow View is perfect, the lounge overlooks the paddocks so you can see all the animals. The animals are a credit to the owners, they are all very friendly and well cared for. Lulu (the donkey) spends her day roaming free in the yard and comes over for a fuss. The cat (Percy) greeted us every morning at the door, and the goats even came onto the decking area right by our door! We have loved our stay here. The cottage is to an average standard and is well presented. My husband is a wheelchair user and the cottage is all wheelchair friendly, parking is right next to the cottage. We will definitely be back again!

We booked this holiday in May 2107 through Sykes Cottages based on the write up and reviews. On arrival and after closer checking we found the place to be completely uninhabitable and walked out at 7am the following morning. The cooker oven was covered in fat, beds broken and residue of food left on the chopping board and snails crawling on the bathroom walls.. There were several other Environmental and Health & Safety issues which prompted us to take this course of action and walk out. Holiday complete ruined.

Absolutely brilliant holiday, lovely place to stay, we were the only people in the cottage and luckily had use of the hot tub. Stu and Andrea are lovely and very helpful and chatty and luckily sorted the wifi for us after the cable had been cut by a hedge cutter. Lovely peaceful views and loved the noises from the owls and birds during the day and at night, we were lucky to have such good weather too. Good places to visit are Heatherton World of Adventures with a range of activities for everyone, Saundersfoot for dog beaches, Tenby for restaurants and night life and tat shops and Pendine for hill exploring too.

We really loved the setting, and the peace and quiet. The owner was really friendly and made you feel right at home.

Everything! The owners are great, any problems fixed instantly! We have a disabled and an able bodied child, it's really hard to find accommodation to suit both, and this did. The best holiday we've had in ages!

Just back from an amazing weeks holiday. Friendly helpful owners, every minor problem resolved within minutes. When we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player, owners tried a universal one and when that didn't work purchased a new DVD player! Perfect for families, we have one disabled child and one able bodied they both had a fantastic time. The highlight being the animals! The owners are happy for guests to interact with the animals. I've fallen for one of the goats, my dog hating daughter has fallen for Ben and Roger the dogs!

The location was amazing and the farm itself was great, especially for our animal mad son. Quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted for our holiday base, plenty big enough for 6 adults to stay there.

Just returned from Meadow View and loved the whole thing once we found it.Set in the middle of the countryside out of sight. After we had drove down the track to the cottage the holiday was pure bliss.Sheep, goats, alpacas, rabbits, owls and chickens could be fed and I never had any food waste. The cottage was lovely and well equipped and what we had forgotten was soon given to us by the owners Sandra and Stuart. Was a much needed break and family time even with our dogs.Had bbqs on the patio and beer in the fridge. What more could we ask for??

The owners were lovely and left a great welcome package. The cottage was nice and quiet, it was designed for wheelchair access and my son in an electric wheelchair could access all over, the bathroom was also set out and equipped excellently. Would be very happy to stay again and would recommend the cottage to anybody. The perfect retreat or use as a base to explore the local welsh area. Can't fault!

We stayed in Meadow View at the end of august 2013 and absolutely loved it. It is set in a very peaceful valley, with a variety of animals and birds in enclosures and aviaries which the children could stroke and feed. They loved the outdoor space - especially the trampolines. The cottage was well furnished - it even had sharp knives! The rooms were clean and spacious and it had everything we needed for our break, including a travel cot for the baby. We couldn't hear any noise from the other cottages but our children enjoyed the fact they could make friends with other guests. The owners were lovely- nothing was too much trouble. Location wise - about 10 mins drive down country lanes to Laugharne. 10 mins to Pendine beach. 30 mins to Saundersfoot. Lots of nearby things to see and do - Pembroke castle, Corby Woodlands NT, Oaklands theme park and folly farm.

Really friendly welcome and helpful, cheerful owner. Property was great for wheelchair needs. We would recommend this property to anyone.

Rated by Mr Kelsey reviewed on 11th September 2013

Owners were very welcoming and the cottage was clean and well equipped. The land around the cottage was very safe and brilliant for the children with a park with swings trampolines and see-saw. The animals and birds around the cottages were an added attraction and the owner let the children feed them and answered any questions we had. Beautiful quiet location but only 5 minutes drive from a shop, fish and chips, restaurants, pub! A cottage suitable for all.

A really lovely modern cottage. The owners were very welcoming. It felt like a home-from-home (with a much nicer view) when we stayed.

Rated by Miss Clarke reviewed on 17th March 2013

The cottage was very secluded which is what we wanted. The owner was lovely and the animals were great. It was amazing to be up close and personal to the male peacock.

Rated by Mrs Morse reviewed on 17th September 2012

Enjoyed it immensely, everything was great. The children were kept happy and informed about the wildlife and were made comfortable to take part and interact with the birds and the rest of the animals. The owner was excellent (the children already told him).

Lovely location, lovely owners and lots of animals. My son loved this holiday as he was able to interact with the animals and roam around free without any worry. Would definitely return again.

Rated by Mr Godfrey reviewed on 18th August 2012

The owners were on site and very friendly. They kept animals and birds and encouraged the visiting children to participate in their care. The welcome pack of essential groceries was much appreciated. Meadow View is worth another visit.

A lovely cottage, well equipped and quiet. Interesting animals and birds and a pleasant outlook.

Rated by Mrs Butler reviewed on 24th July 2012

The property catered for all of our needs. It was very clean and the owners were very nice. These cottages are clearly very well set-up for the disabled and those with pets. The location is very quiet and rural but there is a village store, pub and facilities a very short drive away. We will be using the cottages again.

Rated by Mr Redfearn reviewed on 29th January 2012

This out of the way yet only a few miles from motorway was the most relaxing holidays we have had. We go away about 3 times a year. This cottage is large and brilliant for both families and those with mobility problems. The owner was on hand at all times nothing was too much trouble. The owls geese dogs ponies all added to the holiday. The lane was a bit bumpy but not a problem. The price was right. If you want a relaxing break well away from the stress then book this cottage its a little gem. Were kids and dogs can run free and adults relax.

The friendliness of the owner and the large fields for dog walking. Central to all the nearby towns/seaside. The welcome pack of bread/milk/butter/wine.

We had a lovely holiday! The location is fairly close to so many places for days out. We found the owner to be extremely helpful and our granddaughter was so pleased when he let her feed his birds of prey. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return.

The best holiday! So peaceful and relaxing, especially as my parents are elderly and my father is in a wheelchair the property was first class. The owner was always on hand to help out. Thanks for a great two weeks. We love all the animals especially the birds and owls.

The accommodation was excellent with a welcome pack and the beds made up. The farm was lovely and the owners helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Rated by Mrs Morris reviewed on 20th September 2011

Very friendly and accommodating family own the bungalows. Enjoyed the animals/birds and the quiet surroundings. The final approach to get to the holiday home was a disappointment, very rough uneven road. (4 by 4 would be better.) The surroundings still require a lot of work to complete the setting, however it was still an enjoyable venue. Not sure I would have thought the same had the weather been bad.

We had a fantastic holiday at Meadow View ,the accommodation was of a high standard and the area superb with loads to see and do. By far the best feature of the stay was the owner and his collection of animals and birds, he made us feel very welcome and allowed our girls aged 9 & 10 to help feed and look after the animals - they had a holiday they will never forget. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This was a fabulous holiday and fabulous property, second to none. The cottage was fantastic, spacey, clean, had plenty of storage space, lovely homely touches of ornaments and pictures etc. Beds made up on arrival (really comfy too), unexpected welcome pack of bread, milk, wine, welsh cakes etc. The owner and his family were exceptionally welcoming and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The surroundings of decking and farm animals were lovely and the kids loved it all. It is the best, most relaxing holiday I have had since having the children and it was all down to the accommodation, surroundings and welcoming, peaceful and relaxing environment there. Top marks, could not wish for more.
