Location Details

Laugharne is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas and a visit to his Boat House and the garage where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its' seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Thanks to Andrea and Stuart for making our family week long stay so enjoyable. The disabled facilities and equipment you were able to provide made my 87 year old mothers stay stress free and was greatly appreciated. Will definately return without a doubt. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to spend quality time with our family.Seeing the sunrise on the last morning was a fitting end to a lovely week.

Just finishing a week at Dylans court & The Barn. We booked the 2 together for 8 adults and 2 kids.. Met on arrival by Andrea and Stuart called round later. Great people with a love for animals. Welsh cakes and wine along with some bread butter milk etc on arrival. Both houses disabled friendly and great for wheelchair use. Both Andrea and Stuart there if you need them but if not you can carry on your holiday in peace. The small holding has numerous breeds of owls along with a number of other animals... Some are roaming some not.. The animals are a passion of the family so you can interact and ask lots of questions or not totally your choice... We loved them and got to spend time with the owls and Raccoons. Please ignore any reviews on the subject of goats and dogs roaming around your cars or pets.. We had 4 dogs and 5 cars here for the week and the goats visited most mornings without touching a car and are very aware you have dogs and keep their distance. They are outstanding and so friendly.. The hottubs are fab! We have done a number of cottages and this is a first where you can top of the water yourself if needed (this is essential if you have booked a hottubs place before) and also checked and maintained and stayed perfect all week for us in both houses! The pictures don't do the place justice they have done lots of updates/upgrades and the places look fab! Will definitely be returning :) thank you for a great week

Stayed for 3 nights.Photos on website are not up to date.Animals roaming:goats with huge horns fighting right next to my car, owners dog using our garden as a toilet.... Andrea and Stuart seem to be lovely people and the farm has the potential to be great. There’s no park for the children and ground around farm is a health hazard. There are however, beautiful surroundings and it’s a good starting point for day trips in the area. Debris, builders bits & pieces, empty bottles(oil maybe),a disused rusty phone box with rotting cardboard inside),weeds about the place. Needs sorting out big time outside...

We have recently spend a week at Dylan’s court with my in-laws our 2 boys age 11 ,6 months old and our dog. I’m not a person who likes to complain or keep asking for what I’m actually paying. Both myself and my partner work in customer service and hospitality so we know how important is good customer service. I also believe that honest feedback will provide enough information to improve and better itself in the areas that needs improvement. We choose Dylan’s court as it was advertised with WiFi so my other half could work while we away, disability friendly for my in-laws and most important animals and play area for a children. I have to say that owners were very kind and friendly, cottage served purpose for our family stay and we did spend nice time together bonding, however overall experience of the cottage wasn’t as I have imagined and we all left with disappointment in our eyes. Photos on the website are not up to date, neither on Sykes or here, few items mentioned in the description were not available, play area does not exist anymore and is a health hazard with number of animal waste so my little one couldn’t even go in a swing. There was a lots of weeds and stinging nettles. As much We liked animals goats became far to friendly with our cars so my father in law was stressing that they will bump his car with their horns - don’t think that animals should have access to car park or play area. Peacock was not mentioned in a description or pictures so we had an early wake up every morning as baby was waking up. Not only that he freely visited our garden area every day stressing our dog. There was an also request that dogs should be kept on a lead yet owners dog was coming to our garden eating our dog food pooping and driving our dog crazy. Lane to the farm was overgrown and so bad that I could hear bottom of my car being scraped every time I drive through. Small touches that makes you feel like home weren’t there. We have had welcome bottle of wine, bread, butter and some welsh cakes and that was nice gesture but I would rather have a light in my bedroom, working fridge-freezer ( fridge was going off ), wardrobe that doors you can close, clean room as I found previous visitors inhaler and sweets wrapping and enough crockery to cater for my family (sleep 6 but 4 tea mugs).... It’s sad as the owners are nice people ! Kind and friendly with the heart in a right place ! area itself is amazing with stunning views, farm has got such an amazing potential and it could be small piece of heaven on earth ... with a bit of TLC and work .

Booked a week to spend with our 2 grandsons aged 3 and 5. The youngest has Perthes and my husband is disabled. Only stayed 2 nights as it was too dangerous with the sinking decking and derelict hot tub to the side. (Would have gone straight home but boys excited to see animals there). Also drain stench in wet room. Disgusted with Sykes for misleading photos on site. Stuart was verbally aggressive and very rude in front of boys because we complained to Sykes whom we booked with asking to be moved. It's a very scruffy place.

Love this place so much! Left today and have already booked for next year! Stuart and Andrea's warm welcome make this an excellent place to stay. Add in the fact that it's well presented and disabled friendly and your on to a winner. The animals and children's playground complete an amazing place. I'm already missing Fred and Eve two of the owls, the lovely goats and of course Benj dog. Location wise it has it all, beaches and castles close by.

Lovely and peaceful with friendly owners who made us welcome. The animals were lovely and friendly, it was a nicely laid out property, bright and airy and suitable for the children.

The setting was wonderful, and the array of animals and birds were lovely to look at. The property was lovely and spacious and ideal for someone with disabilities.

The cottage was ideal for Mum who is disabled; everything was accessible. Mum rated it as 'perfect'. The wet room was particularly valued. Easy to explore a wealth of Welsh delights from here, which we did, without having to travel too far afield which was an added bonus. The line caught haddock at the 'local' fish and chip shop was the best we had ever tasted. A wonderful week in Wales. Thank you.

The cottage was wonderful, plenty of room for us all and we had 2 dogs with us. The decking was a godsend. Fabulous cottage overall, exactly as described. We will definitely be going back and the owner was a smashing bloke, nothing was too much trouble for him.
