Booked to stay just after lockdown for a 3 night stay. Apartment fully equipped with everything you need. Hot tub available for use and very relaxing. Bishop's Castle is a lovely little village with a few pubs all within walking distance of the apartment. We were unlucky with the weather but looking forward to returning soon. Thank you Adrian

This is a light and airy apartment/ cottage in a lovely location. It is exceptionally well equipped for self catering. It has beautiful views over Long Mind from its floor to ceiling lounge window.there is a wood burner with logs for cooler days. The bedrooms are large and both have a bathroom which is a bonus. The double bed bedroom has its own balcony with table and chairs. The apartment was clean and very welcoming. There is the added bonus of a garden , summerhouse, garden furniture, barbecue and a super hot tub. Ideal for relaxing after a day out strolling around lovely Bishops Castle or enjoying one of the super walks directly from the property. The tennis court, with equipment is also very enjoyable for a game. The apartment is a short walk from the main area of Bishops Castle where cafes, shops and excellent pubs/restaurants can be found. The owner is welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. All in all a marvellous place to stay and we hope to return.

Stayed many times, last 2 visits November 2017 and January 2018, never disappoints. Hot tub great after 13 mile walk in the snow on long mynd. It's a bit weird running across garden in the snow wearing just a swimming costume. Great location, only few minutes walk from any of the pubs, and there are a Few in Bishops Castle - never usually get further than Three Tons and Castle Hotel but this time also got to 6 Bells and Boars Head, and both very nice. Would recommend and are going again March 2018.

The location of the cottage is ideal for walking or cycling, with no need to use the car if you prefer not too. The town of Bishop Castle has everything you need with plenty of pubs to visit. We ate at the Boars head pub, the food was excellent as were the owners, very welcoming. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, the log burner and hot tub were great at the end of the day after a long bike ride. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

This is our second stay at this property - our first being three years ago. We enjoyed it just as much as we did previously. We would stay there again. The owner is very welcoming. The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of walking in the area. The property is in the perfect location for exploring.

A comfortable, pleasant apartment. The heating was good, and we particularly appreciated the wood burning stove on a cold, wet night! The showers were powerful and efficient. Communication with the owner was excellent; his friendly, informative approach made an essential contribution to the success of the holiday.

A beautiful apartment with a lovely wood burner fire. The property was very well equipped, everything provided for you. Hot tub was amazing, lovely & warm, great to get in after being out on a cold January day. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. We loved Bishops Castle, it is a very old historic town with great pubs, food & friendly people.

This was an excellent flat with street level access for the disabled and easy bathroom facilities. The lounge was great; large and light with plenty of comfortable seating. The place was very warm with copious hot water for a winter holiday. All the amenities were top notch. The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The location was great; on the edge of the town with views out across to the Long Mynd but close to all local amenities.

Because of our large party, we rented the Brewhouse as an addition to the Old Schoolhouse - giving us maximum flexibility of accommodation and a haven for the most senior members of the family. All the facilities were excellent - and our stay was much enhanced by the support that we had from a most welcoming owner.

We loved our trip. Enjoyed the hot tub, tennis and local pubs and shops! A great apartment with a good lounge/seating area to play games and chat with friends.

A lovely cottage on the edge of the market town of Bishops Castle. It has everything you need and a little extra. The hot tub is a real delight and fantastic for that early morning coffee or relaxing after a day exploring the area (I can recommend Lake Vyrnwy, beautiful). The cottage was roomier than expected with a large lounge and two good sized bedrooms. The wood burner was lovely and there was plenty of fuel provided. Bishops Castle is a nice little town and I would definitely stay here again.

We would strongly recomend this place to stay. Very clean and cosy. The town is a bit quiet, was difficult to find a place to eat on Sunday, so you better plan in advance :)

Rated by as_190737 reviewed on 30th March 2014

The property was situated close enough to the lovely town centre that was full of friendly locals, but just far enough away to have you think that the setting was more rural offering privacy, peace and quiet. The property was excellent and had everything that was needed! We did meet the owner who was very welcoming, as too were everyone that we encountered over the short break. In conclusion we would definitely come back again

Well-equipped accommodation with friendly and helpful owner. Excellent location on the edge of town with all amenities in walking distance. The hot tub was a particular delight. Certainly intend to return.

We have stay here twice within four weeks, the accommodation is of the highest standard, there is everything you think of to make your stay perfect. The standard of furnishings in the apartment are high quality, which gives you a sense of luxury which makes your breakaway even more special as you feel like you are renting a luxury apartment. The kitchen is again high quality with everything you could need to create a filling meal after a day exploring the beautiful surroundings, the added bonus of a slow cooker is fantastic and the dishwasher also makes it more of a rest not having to do the the dishes after a meal. The log burner with the endless supply of logs made for cosy evening, as well as the hot tub which was a fantastic way to start and end the day with complete relaxation. The owner of the apartment was so helpful and welcoming, and really cared that you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. All in all we had two fantastic holidays and would recommend it to anyone visiting Shropshire as nowhere could match the standard of holiday accommodation on offer.

Rated by Ms Davies reviewed on 10th November 2012

A very well appointed let with a super hot tub in the garden which allowed views of the Shropshire countryside. The bedrooms were luxuriously set up with TVs and i-pod docks. The kitchen was satisfactory (a few more utensils would have been useful). The location in relation to the town was ideal with a five minute walk into the centre. A wide range of hostelries and cafes was present. The garden was a relaxing place to while away the evening although the road noise was a little intrusive.

The beds where fantastic, so comfortable, and the hot tub was fantastic. The owner very welcoming and helpful.

Rated by Mrs Fisher reviewed on 27th August 2012

The garden and hot tub was a great success, shame our tennis skills did not do justice to the court. Very close to amenities and some excellent pubs/restaurants.

Rated by Mr Cubbin reviewed on 31st July 2012

We appreciated the personal approach adopted by the owner who lives close by. The location proved ideal as a base for a walking holiday and was also peaceful at night. Facilities of particular value: separate utility room (ideal place to dry out our walking clothes), comfortable bed (I wanted to take it home!), the outdoor hot tub, and iPod docks in every room.

Rated by Mr Beaumont reviewed on 27th July 2012

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Close proximity to very good pubs and restaurants etc., everything you might need was within walking distance. The property was just right for us, very comfortable - the hot tub outside, parking, the location - we just liked everything about The Schoolhouse Brewhouse. The Owner made sure a friend came to welcome us as he was unable to initially, and later was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Would love to go back and stay there again.
