Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Stayed here for a week August bank holiday week and I would advise anyone who has booked to cancel. Property is filthy throughout on arrival. Dirty showers with previous residents residue in them. Kitchen not clean. Furniture all outdated and falling apart. Every time you use the shower or sink upstairs water pours out of the down pipe all over the outside seating area. Previous residents items in bedroom drawers. Towels look like something you wouldn’t use on your dog. Hole above shower in the ceiling where someone can watch you have a shower. Tv didn’t work first day had to call owner out. Noise from cafe that owner also owners next door unacceptable so you cannot sleep in a morning. Everything we took with us had to be washed when we returned home as it smelt of damp. Upstairs sink so small you can’t brush your teeth in there. Outside area not at all well kept and the cafe window opens onto your seating area so no privacy at all. Dark and dingy living room that hadn’t been updated for 30 years. Awful place. Complained to owner who isn’t interested and neither are Sykes. They should be ashamed that they are fine with having a hole above a shower where children shower and such a dirty property. Would never recommend anyone to book. Have tried to upload photos but it would let me but I do have them.
Liked that it was so near everything. Loved the cottage and St Davids. It was perfect for my family!
Four of us went to St Davids for my girlfriend's and her twins 40th birthday and took our 3 dogs. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and showed us the lovely cottage right in the centre of the city - the smallest city in UK due to the cathedral!. After a few minutes the owners wife arrived with a cream tea - nice touch. The house has everything required and is within walking distance of the local pubs, shops, beach and coastal walks. I would recommend this lovely house to dog owners and non dog owners as its a great place ideally situated to explore the Pembrokeshire area.
Loved to have the family sit around the fire at night, very cosy sitting room. Fantastic to lay on the bed looking through the large skyline window at the stars. Loved the convenience of the shops, restaurants, pubs, arts, buses and coastal walks, all close by but in a small 'village' setting. An ideal holiday without a car.
Very nice property and very convenient position. Impressed by how clean every thing was, and would highly recommend it. We will be returning there ourselves. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Saint David's itself is delightful. A great little break.
Cottage is homely and comfortable
Great welcome, very helpful people - owner's cafe, next door. Cottage was lovely, clean and tidy and nicely furnished. Planned improvements should make it even better next year. So handy to be able to walk to shops, supermarket, local pubs and restaurants, and not far to drive to other places of interest, galleries and beaches, etc. Wonderful place for a holiday. Only tiny problem was slight difficulty parking, (Have to stop the traffic to back into the space, but not really a problem.)
The very friendly and helpful hosts, so convenient to be able to pop next door and ask for any questions to be answered. The convenience of the property which is nearby all the city amenities. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were a boon to members of the party with restricted mobility. The cottage was cosy and traditional, yet with every modern convenience. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!
A perfect position in the heart of St. Davids, just a stones throw from the cathedral and excellent pubs. Friendly owners who were always there to help.
We loved how comfortable and convenient the cottage was.
The cottage was conveniently located, very comfortable and excellent value for money. The owner was friendly and helpful.
We had a fab holiday - great location and lovely to stroll around St Davids in the evening. Only 5 mins drive to Whitesands beach. The owners were friendly and nearby if needed.
Peace, quiet and a relaxed atmosphere. The warmth, hospitality and helpfulness of the cottage owners. I felt very welcomed and comfortable in the cottage and in St David's. Overall, it was a beautiful holiday and the location of the cottage was amazing.
A lovely cottage with friendly owners. We had a brilliant holiday.
