We stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. Myself and family had such a fantastic holiday and cant thank Pat and Theresa enough. Have stayed in many places in Ireland but this without a doubt has been our favourite. My daughters were devestated to leave.

Jesus, do I love this family. Patrick is a trooper beyond belief. Theresa is so wonderful and friendly. They are both beyond reproach. We have visited twice, and our adulation is above the spoken language. I only wish that, someday, I could be as cool as they are. We will always visit them no matter what.

Had a lovely relaxing weekend in Mary Agnes cottage. Host mr Murphy was super friendly and happy to show us around. The house is perfect and cosy with a fantastic view of the ocean and the passing weather. Our dog was in heaven with a small beach nearby and a couple of doggy friends to play with. Beautiful walks, fishing nearby, pubs with nice food on either sides, swimming, a trip to the Buddhist center, sure what more would you ask for?

Amazing stay. Really friendly owners who are on hand for advice and local recommendations; they will even let you walk their dogs if you are off for an explore on foot. Lovely, well appointed, warm cottage. Loads to do including visits to the beaches, harbours, ancient sites and monuments, local towns and pubs. The Urhan Inn down the road doesn't serve food but it does serve the most delicious pint of Guinness with a local pub feel. Cant wait to return. Ps - check out the view across Coulagh Bay- just stunning

Beautiful cottage, very well appointed and clean. Views to the front of Coulagh Bay are stunning and the views to the back of the mountains are breath taking. The Murpheys couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. It is dog friendly and Glen the dog is a free spirit, welcoming you each day. The Urhan Inn is a 2 mile walk down a very quiet road. It is a local pub that wasn't at all put off by us visiting. O'Neils in Allihies serves up huge portions of tasty food. MacCarthys in Castletownbere is a must just to see a bacon slicer in a bar - honest! Sundays 6pm-9pm is open music night. Great fun. Felt it was a home from home and well worth the journey.

The open fire is a real seller in the winter months. Also the cottage is a great central place to do the Beara Penisula. A very relaxing and peaceful house.

Clean and spacious. Everything to hand and if not, owners would have provided it on request. Lovely views, good parking, nice garden and friendly owners and dogs. Always had a welcome from dogs on return each evening. Comfy beds. Owners were so ., helpful and on hand if a problem. Only downside was TV could have been bit more modern Good spot but no amenities within walking distance, but with a car no problem. If you enjoy walking then excellent location..

Location was perfect for peace and quiet and views from cottage were beautiful. Owners were helpful and friendly. The cottage was clean, spacious and fully equipped. Areas of interest so close, and lots to see and do. Shops and pubs/restaurants within easy driving distance, and everyone so friendly.

Comfortable, roomy house in a very good position with sea and mountain views. We were very rural, but still within easy distance for all amenities.

Rated by Mrs Carmody reviewed on 11th May 2013

Pet friendly comfortable cottage. Well worth the long drive to the area. Owners are very friendly and avaliable to help out at any time. The rooms are bright and airy and furnishings comfortable. The only downside would be the garden that is not totally secure but the road was very quiet and our little dog is well behaved as regards boundaries. When in the area visit Castletownbere for a brilliant evening meal at Jack Patrick's, excellent food and very good value, for the day The Copper Kettle is a must. A ride around the Bere pennisula is breathtaking, beautiful around every corner. Very much like the west coast of Scotland but few more people.
