Absolutely loved the Cottage. We felt completely immersed in our surroundings. This great little cottage was perfect for our family (4 adults,1 baby and our dog). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and the location.

The location was fantastic and the cottage was very comfortable and relaxing. I liked being located so that it was easy to get to the coast or the mountains.

A very homely cosy cottage that is well equipped. We really enjoyed our time here and would go back.

The Cottage was an excellent 'interpretation' of an original slate-worker's home in a slate quarrying village. It carried the sense of that way of life into the modern idiom without losing touch with the original. You could feel the history in the slate and stone. Ideally located for everything the area has to offer, which is a huge amount.

Top marks, couldn't fault the cottage at all. We (including our dogs) were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We would definitely visit again and recommend this beautiful cottage. Thanks again.

Its a lovely Cottage in a very good location for touring the area and I would happily stay there again. The owners have thought very carefully about the comfort of their guests and what is necessary to make their stay a happy one. I would very happily stay there again.

Lovely place to stay for a week.

Rated by Mr Shorney reviewed on 11th May 2014

The cottage was very warm and inviting. The standard was very high, and little extras provided that you do not get in a lot of places. There was a wealth of information on attractions, which proved to be very useful. All in all this cottage is one of the best we have stayed in, and we hope to return in the near future as there is still so much more to explore.

Rated by Mrs Lewis reviewed on 2nd September 2013

The cottage was comfortable and pretty, and the front garden was nice too. The bedrooms were a good size and had plenty of storage space.

Rated by Mrs Burton reviewed on 13th August 2013

There was so much attention to detail by the owners. Loved the effort they had put in to suggesting activities, restaurants, local walks etc. It was great to have extras like OS maps and compass, tea, coffee, milk, wine and especially bara brith! There was literally nothing that we wanted or needed which wasn't already in the cottage. We needn't have taken so much stuff!

Rated by Mrs Dowdell reviewed on 28th May 2013

Excellent location, very central for all attractions in the area.

Rated by Mr Clark reviewed on 14th October 2012

Fantastic, superb cottage, couldn't ask for more.

Rated by Mr Strong reviewed on 7th October 2012

We couldn't ask for anything more from the property - it was great and the kids had a great time especially seeing the trains goes by!

Rated by Mr McLaren reviewed on 6th August 2012

A very comfortable and well equipped cottage, ideal for us. Lovely situation, conveniently located for day-to-day supplies in Blaenau. The Visitor Information manual gave us a clear idea of the thought and care which had gone into the restoration of the cottage, (beautifully done!), which was of great interest and most entertaining. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Rated by Mr Mann reviewed on 4th August 2012

An excellent property, very well stocked and with lovely 'extra' touches such as the home-made cake and wine. Lovely owners who answered all our questions.

Rated by Mrs Murray reviewed on 30th July 2012

We had a fabulous holiday as location was excellent for amazing walks and scenery. The owners were extremely helpful, they had left an excellent, easy to follow file containing useful information about the amenities and surrounding area.

Rated by Mr Rennie reviewed on 30th October 2011

The location of the property was a great starting point for lots of different enjoyable walks which we, and our dogs, loved! The cottage was very clean and well equipped and had everything you could possibly need!

Rated by Mrs Pye reviewed on 11th September 2011

Everything we expected. A delightful two up/two down terraced cottage, with a downstairs extension containing a well equipped kitchen and a decent sized bathroom. Rest of the house was neat, tidy and certainly the best rental we've stayed in. Nice welcome pack, umbrellas in the hallway, log fire, Satellite freeview TV, games, books, maps etc. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Rated by Mr Taylor reviewed on 28th July 2011

In an area of outstanding natural beauty and everything was easily accessible.

Rated by Mrs Lewis reviewed on 11th July 2011

The cottage was ideally placed for a lot of the local attractions and had some great walks from the doorstep. The welcome gifts from the owners were a particularly nice touch.

Rated by Mr Clark reviewed on 22nd June 2011

The cottage was fantastic to come back to at the end of the day. We had two different types of weather, very bad and very good, in both styles the cottage was immense. Everything and extra was taken care of, tea, coffee, compasses, extensive tour guide, games, dvd's, accouterments for the bathroom and bedrooms and 2 nights log fire requirements. Everything and beyond was thought of even a washer dryer. All was well thought of. Thank you.
