Stayed in this converted barn for a week with my mate, was great very clean and cosy. The only thing was the Hot tub was not with the barn and you had to share it with about 6/7other cottages and pay about £40 a week to use it. But other than that was a fantastic place to stay would stay again.

We have just returned home from a wonderful family holiday at The Dairy. The cottage is beautiful and spacious with high ceilings and original beams. There is a woodburner that was ready laid, though due to excellent weather was not required. The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes, West Coast and North of the border. Lots of parking spaces and sheep just feet away. Highly recommended.

Just got back had a lovely relaxing few days away. The Dairy is a beautiful cottage the owner was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was lovely, living and kitchen area much bigger than the pictures showed. It is an ideal place for walking with the dog. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. There is a shared use of hot tub to relax in. We hope to go back later in the year.

Fantastic location to get out walking with the dog. Ideally situated to explore Northumberland, north Pennines, the north lakes and Scotland. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable about where to visit and was happy to help when we ran out of firewood (£4 charge per additional bag of logs). The cottage itself was very comfortable and well equipped which made it feel very homely. There is a £40 charge per week for use of the shared hot tub which me and my boyfriend were initially more than to pay as we knew we would be doing lots of walking and it would be a great way to relax after a day out on our feet. However we discovered that very few of the jets actually work and the ones that do work don't seem to be working correctly. We only ended up using the hot tub twice and we felt that at £40 a week, better maintenance of the hot tub wouldn't be too much of an ask. The only other slight annoyance would be that in the ceiling above the main bedroom, there is something nesting in the roof - we were unsure if birds or mice but whatever they were they make a terrible racket early in the morning. This wasn't too much of a problem as we got up early most days anyway but on the couple of days we wanted a lie in (we were on holiday after all!) this was made almost impossible by the noise they were making. Overall we had a brilliant week and we would stay on this site again (albeit in a different cottage and we would leave the hot tub!)

The Dairy was beautifully furnished, lovely large living area, much bigger than expected, great position to access many local sights, Talkin Tarn country park was fabulous, particularly as it was only the cost to park, great walks for the dog!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property.

Rated by Miss Lamb reviewed on 17th January 2014

Fantastic welcome, owner there to meet us with the wood burner burning, the cottage felt so warm on a cold and damp day. Lovely cottage, the barn has been converted very tastefully. It has the added bonus of a hot tub which is so welcoming after a day out walking. Although near to a main road it was it did not detract from a lovely stay. Not too far from fabulous walks, owner was happy to suggest places to visit, although lots of leaflets to help. Loved it there and would definitely return.

We wanted a few days away with our 7 month old daughter and our two labradors before I went back to work. The Cottage was lovely and comfy and the woodburner in the open plan living / kitvhen/ dining area was loved by all. The dogs loved Milton Woods and we loved the hot-tub especially as the baby monitor still worked at the bottom of the garden where it is located. The milk and wine on arrival were a lovely touch.

The Dairy provides an excellent location for walking and exploring Hadrian's Wall. The nearby town of Brampton is in easy reach and provides a well stocked mini supermarket. Dinner at Jacobites is recommended and the local taxi company charge was £5 back from town to the cottage. The Dairy was very welcoming, clean and well presented in a lovely farmyard setting. The use of the hot tub was an added bonus and a lovely weekend was had by all! The Dairy provides the perfect venue to arrive, drop your bags, relax and enjoy your stay!

Rated by Mr Hughes reviewed on 25th September 2011

A warm welcome from the cottage owners. Ideal for a quiet holiday, plenty of walks whether in woodland, the nearby adrian's Wall. Located within easy reach of the North Lakes, The Borders or Northumberland. The cottage had everything we needed including those little extras - tea coffee and milk, and a welcoming bottle of wine. A little more local information would have been appreciated - details of pubs / restaurants.

Rated by A FlipKey verified reviewer reviewed on 24th September 2011

The location was beautiful, and the house was fantastically clean and tidy. It was lovely for us to spend a weeks holiday with our dog, who loved all of the walks.

Rated by Mr & Mrs Crabbe reviewed on 4th September 2011

The cottage was exceptionally clean and welcoming and the gift of a bottle of wine, a pint of milk, tea, coffee and sugar made the arrival even more relaxing!

Rated by Mr Lambert reviewed on 22nd August 2011

The cottage was in a lovely rural location and was large and comfortably furnished. The owners provided those extra touches which were very much appreciated - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and a welcoming bottle of wine. They were friendly and polite, and have worked hard on the conversion of the farm buildings and the grounds. I'm sure other holidaymakers will enjoy the addition of the hot-tub.

Rated by Miss Harwood reviewed on 2nd August 2011

Very good accommodation within close vicinity to walks along Hadrians Wall. Brampton has a variety of shops and inns, a must visit is the antique centre.
