Booked for a week WOW perfect location cream tea on arrival even a pint of milk in the fridge so well equipped quiet location well above the standard of other holiday let's we have stayed in lovely owners Helen and Paul couldn't do enough for guests

Not sure there are enough superlatives to describe Sunnyvale. It is a flat above the owners garage but that is doing the property a massive disservice. It's beautiful! Very modern, warm and inviting. It has everything in it you could possibly want and nothing is too much trouble for the owners Helen and Paul. There was a cream tea waiting for us on our arrival and the kitchen has everything in it you could want. Even sandwich bags, Tupperware and a cool box for taking a picnic out. There is a large Spar two minutes away, Bugle train station is a stones throw away but you wouldn't know it (as in there is no noise at all). The boiler is biomass so super eco friendly. The property is a half hour drive from everything (Newquay, Perrenporth beach etc) and 5 minutes from the Eden Project. I honestly cannot think of a single thing wrong with Sunnyvale. We loved it so much we've booked to go again next year as there was lots we didn't get a chance to do. Absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much!

On arrival the owner greeted us and we found a lovely cream tea waiting. The flat was spotless, the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Sunnyvale is approximately 3 miles from the A30 so perfectly situated for easy access to all of Cornwall. We will definitely be going back.

Village of Bugle is small but is still a great place to stay, people are very friendly and the local pub not far from the cottage is well worth a visit. As the cottage is a stones throw away from the main road (A391) which runs between Bodmin and St austell, links to the nearby towns are easily accessible. Also, the village is only 3 miles from a30, so you're easily connected to the whole of North Cornwall if need be. Our personal favourite place to go was Plymouth which although is 40 miles away is well worth a visit, as well as Lands End and St Ives. On the whole, we had a great holiday in Cornwall and is by far the countries most underated and understated holiday destination as it is simply brilliant!

It was situated close to all attractions in Cornwall. The welcome by the owners was very friendly, and on arrival, we find a Cornish Cream Tea waiting for us, which was a lovely surprise. There was more than we expected at the property, including a picnic set. We will return to this property in the future.

I wanted a complete escape and rest from the outside world and this is what I found at Sunnyvale. The flat was beautiful and spotless, and the owners were welcoming and helpful, whilst 'leaving me to it'! The location was good with an excellent chinese takeaway down the road and a railway station nearby. It was also really handy for the Eden Project. There was plenty of information on the surrounding area provided in the flat, and even dvds to watch and the owners even left a cream tea for my arrival! All in all a brilliant week. Can't wait to go back.

Rated by Tina reviewed on 26th August 2011

The holiday flat, above the owners garage, was tastefully finished; reds in the living area and turquoise in the bedroom. Even the bed sheet was turquoise! The kitchen area of the living room was spotlessly clean with fan oven, induction hob and fridge – washing machine was downstairs. The shower room, downstairs, had a good shower and benefited from an instant fan heater. On entering, the downstairs corridor felt cold, but we just flipped on the oil heater and it soon felt better. The garden area was well equipped with large table and chairs, a bench, BBQ and log burner. Helen and Paul the owners were helpful, getting a map and walking guidebook for our use and laying on a Cornish cream tea for us on arrival. Beware they live on an unmade road with many potholes. Bugle is a great place to tour Cornwall from. The Eden Project just 10mins away and Lands End and hour. We had thought it might be nice to be in walking distant of a pub, but The Bugle Inn was a bit too ‘local’ for us. There was a handy Spar shop though.
