Ideal house for a large family group, set in fantastic countryside with an amazing view. Lovely welcoming touches...cider, milk, snacks and flowers and host very prompt in answering queries. Fabulous garden for children and plenty of parking space for several cars. Very well equipped kitchen and 2nd useful fridge in utility room. A little remote but incredibly peaceful and drove to The Weir (NT) which was lovely, Raglan Farm and also paddled in the river at The Warren at Hay on Wye.
View for miles, warm house, well equipped, great games room, comfy beds and super clean. Our host was available to answer messages and queries and the house exceeded our expectations.
Stayed here recently with family for a weekend, house is very spacious and clean. Sleeps 9 people, 3 single beds in one of the three bedrooms upstairs with the other two rooms being double beds. One bedroom downstairs with 2 single beds. Double rooms upstairs both have en-suite and a separate large bathroom also upstairs. Would be nice if the house was south facing as you lose the sun in the afternoon from the garden area. Garden looks bigger in the photo than it actually is, but still good for the kids to run around on. Games room is good, table tennis, small pool table and darts. Games room is joined to house but you need to access it from outside. Would have been nice to have a larger tv to watch the rugby on but ample. Would definitely stay again. There is another house located next to the garden which we didn't realize would be as close as it was, but did not really see the people living there.
A really exceptional property, especially good for large groups. We were three generations who all enjoyed the spaciousness, the facilities and the location of this really lovely house.
This was a great location, with high standards within the property and a friendly and helpful owner.
Loved it, can't say any more than that.
Bushmills was a lovely spacious cottage; situated in a quiet location with lovely views.
A very quiet house in a peaceful location. Very spacious and flexible accommodation. Very comfortable beds. Very roomy and comfortable parking. The owners were discreet, friendly, and attentive on the one occasion they were needed. We loved the location, its rural feel and the fact that genuine, country activities were going on around us. We'd certainly be happy to return.
A well planned property with lots of space for two families to enjoy a relaxing break together. Beds very comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. Location excellent and owners very friendly but not intrusive at all. Brilliant holiday!
A lovely cottage in a peaceful location. We all enjoyed our stay very much. The facilities and accommodation were just as we hoped. We particularly liked the space, the en suites and the games room.
Bushmills was an amazing place to stay! It is a beautiful barn conversion in a stunning area. We were two families with 4 children 11-14y. Everything was immaculate and so comfortable. The property has everything you need. We would love to come again and will definitely recommend it to our friends.
Arrived at this super barn conversion and we were surprised at how homely and welcoming it was considering its size, there was plenty of room for every one and you did not feel like you were squashed in like a few of the places we have visited. the property had everything you could need ,plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils. the beds were of a high quality and extremely comfortable. The icing on the cake was the games room which every generation of our family enjoyed. This in my opinion is a great place for a family to relax and the cut flowers, chocolates, and wine left for us say to me that the owner really consider there guests every need. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
Excellent property. Would definitely recommend it to friends and would come again.
A lovely place in an idyllic setting. The cottage had everything you could ever need and the local area has some lovely walking paths.
The accommodation was superb for use by an extended family with an ideal layout of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the huge open plan living/dining area. The games room was a wonderful facility used by the children and adults alike. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The gorgeous views from the property together with it's proximity to Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, Ross and Montgomery made for a wonderful base from which to explore the local area. We briefly met the owners who were friendly and helpful. Altogether a wonderful stay in a beautiful house. We were all sorry to leave!
Excellent accommodation and an excellent welcome. A great way to enjoy the countryside and celebrate a 65th birthday.
Thank you for a great family break, it is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The house was beautiful and there was more than enough space for us all.
Wonderful accommodation. Very comfortable even with a full house of people!! Very warm.
Overall a great place to stay! Quiet and very child friendly! My husband was enjoying jogging each morning as it's such a beautiful place to be. I wish we had more days to spend at Bushmills, we will definitely recommend it to other families!
A beautiful house in a lovely location. Really appreciated the extra effort the owner went to to make the house cosy and attractive, as well as all the local area maps and information left for us. I would recommend this highly and hope to return.
A beautiful place which was very well equipped. There was plenty of room for nine guests, great for a big family get-together. The children enjoyed the games room!
The Games room was superb . We found a excellent pub to eat at. The holiday was superb
Enjoyed the views, peace and tranquillity at Bushmills. The whole Golden Valley area is outstandingly beautiful. The owner was particularly welcoming and most helpful.
Facilities are first rate; very comfortable and nicely finished. The lovely setting with fantastic views and wonderful weather certainly helped us have a terrific week. The Games room was a welcome distraction for our teenage kids and the owner could not be more helpful - the time taken to put together a file with every kind of leaflet/brochure for all activities and villages of interest was a wonderful thought.
Lovely spacious, well-equipped property that was extremely comfortable. The whole party enjoyed the stay and we would all be happy to return. A highly recommended property.
Great location, close to many tourist attractions. Ideal property for a 2 family break. Excellent accommodation with lots of useful information supplied, felt really homely. Would definitely recommend and visit again, thank you.
Very homely, warm and comfortable. Spacious family living area. Table tennis and games room. High quality conversion of old barn. Rural location with beautiful views in a peaceful and unspoilt area. Access to a wide variety of landscape and activities within a reasonable distance.
We had an excellent, relaxing stay at Bushmills. Very impressed with the overall level of equipment and furnishings, the small extra touches that meant so much. Games room was a big plus. Highly recommended!
A beautiful conversion in a very peaceful location. Attention to detail very high, the children especial liked the toys, dressing up clothes and games room. We had used it as a base from which our daughter was married and everyone loved it.
Fantastic views and superbly warm. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a great weekend.
I loved every second of it, if you want to get away for a weekend Bushmill is the one to book. Everything was so clean and tidy and even though it was cold outside but when we got in it was so nice and warm as the owner had left the heating on for us. I would definitely go back and I would recommended to everyone.
Wonderful property and location. Excellent service and reception including the prompt postal return of an item that we accidentally left behind. many thanks to the owners.
The property was welcoming and warm. Great location, plenty of walking country and from the cottage too, Hay on Wye, Abergavenney, Hereford; all brilliant for a trip. Just a fantastic place to spend a week with extended family.
Could not fault it, everything was well maintained, plenty of space, plenty of parking.
A beautiful barn conversion in a beautiful location. Lots of crockery and cutlery, so that the dishwasher did not need to be on all the time. We had booked it so that we had a lovely place for our daughter to leave for her wedding, and it did not disappoint us.
Well equipped, very clean and comfortable barn conversion. Everyone commented how comfortable the beds were. Having the games room was an added bonus.
We were a group of 6 adults, 5 children and a baby, this house suited us perfectly. It was big enough that we weren't on top of each other all the time but we still felt all together. Beautiful quality finishes and fittings, I had best shower I've ever had!! Lovely peaceful countryside surrounds the house, it's quite a way to the nearest anything and a bit of a maze of roads but that only adds to the relaxing holiday experience. I can't recommend this house enough, we will definitely be back for a visit!
A beautifully decorated, furnished and equipped house. We stayed there to be within easy distance of Hay-on-Wye, which was about 30 minutes drive much of which was along little used single track roads.
Amazing house, amazing setting. A great time was had by all.
The property was fantastic and the directions to get there was perfect. The owners were accommodating and very helpful and it was just the break that my friends and I were looking for. I would certainly recommend this to anyone else!
Beautiful barn conversion with fantastic views. Everything was extremely clean, four lovely bathrooms and the added bonus of a games room. The owner was friendly and helpful.
We loved the cottage, it was comfy and cosy and the little touches on arrival really made it feel homely. There was plenty of crockery which made our holiday a lot easier when it came to cooking and dining in. The showers are fantastic and the heating and wood burner lovely after a chilly day out.
We had a really lovely break at Bushmills. Seven adults and one baby plenty of room. A bathroom per couple and the bath up stairs was like a swimming pool for my granddaughter.
We booked Bushmills for a family break and it catered for all of our needs. The house was based in an excellent location. It was a pleasure to call Bushmills our home for the duration of our break.
An excellent property for a family get together, particularly the 4 bathrooms. Good to have the playroom and loads of crockery/cutlery. A lovely location.
Bushmills is a very cosy well equipped property with amazing views across the valley. The games room was a great hit with our children and us.The local area is beautiful with many fantastic gardens( Abbey Dore Court) castles and tearooms. Great fish and chips from Ewyas Harold village
The property is absolutely excellent and the six of us were very comfortable. We loved it! Plenty of room, very comfortable beds, excellent showers and a very well supplied kitchen.
A first class holiday cottage geared towards families. Absolutely spotless and with everything we needed for our weeks stay last Christmas. We were made to feel very welcome and there was a christmas tree in the lounge with a small hamper of goodies and a puzzle each for our two grandchildren. The games room was an added bonus and was enjoyed by all, with a table tennis knockout competition throughout the week. The location had lovely views & was quiet with only a handful of properties in the small village, a car is necessary as there are no shops close by. The twin bedroom with a tv & shower room down stairs was great for my elderly father, who couldn't climb the stairs. All in all a fantastic holiday cottage.
Lovely place very very clean, we all loved it at Bushmills. We will definitely be booking again soon. The games room is very good and all of the beds are really comfortable. The Kitchen is new and modern and the seating area outside has lovely views.
Lovely, modernly refurbished, clean house. Ideal for our party with young children. A good kitchen/dinner/lounge for socialising. Close to Hereford. Mobile phone signal poor at the cottage. Enjoyed the comfy beds and games room.
Ideal living area for socialising as a group. Easy distance to local towns. Lovely cottage. Games room was enjoyed. Would not hesitate to recommend cottage or visit again.
We enjoyed the attractive Herefordshire countryside and historic places such as Hereford and Ross. There was no lack of interesting places to visit.
It was an excellent cottage and everyone loved how comfortable the beds were. The log fire was great, the property was very clean and the games room was excellent. We could not have been any happier with Bushmills.
The property was excellent - lovely, peaceful location. It had plenty of space and the open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area was ideal for keeping an eye on our young children whilst preparing meals. Although we went in autumn I can imagine the BBQ seating area and games room would be fantastic during the summer months!
We found the location to be stunning and the finish of the property to be outstanding. A very well equipped barn conversion which we will return to in the future. The barn is super for families given the number of rooms and the games area for children.
