This was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in, peaceful modern and very very comfortable. We were naturally anxious about travelling with the covi d 19 upheaval, but we felt safe here from the moment we arrived. You'll find every comfort you require for a quiet get away the owner was so friendly but by no means imposing we met once during our stay and talked on the phone prior to our arrival . We would highly recommend this property and it's location, our only disappointment was that our stay was over too soon.

Lovely cottage. It’s like a home from home. Even has a slow cooker so you can have dinner a ready after a day in Snowdonia. The cottage owner is ever so helpful too but doesn’t interfere. We had a problem with the wifi and the owner was quick to try and sort it, despite BT being their usual unhelpful selves. It isn’t super fast, but once working it was good enough to watch Sky Go on. Can’t fault the central heating either, it was so warm we had to turn the heating off. Highly recommend the cottage. Our two spaniels had a lovely time and there was even a basket of giddies and doggie towels waiting at the cottage.

Beautiful cottage, complete with en suite bathroom, extra toilet, really nice kitchen and great location for touring north west wales. The owner was very helpful including local facilities, places to visit and even lent me her electric tyre inflator for my car. You cannot get better, everything you need in a fantastic location

This property was the best we have stayed in, the views were fantastic and the standard was very high throughout, we would recommend it to anyone with confidence.

Rated by Mr Thomas reviewed on 18th June 2016

A lovely contemporary feel and is a wonderfully homely place to come back to at the end of the day. It has a lovely open-plan living area with a kitchen and dining area which is more than adequate for a holiday, and then a cosy sitting area with comfy seating and television, you can watch the sheep in the adjoining meadow and even a rabbit if you are lucky. I could wax lyrically about this place and hope to be back one day. I would challenge anyone to find fault with this place. The owner is charming

Rated by Mrs Swindell reviewed on 11th June 2016

This is a superb cottage in a great location. It is close to the local amenities but also felt really secluded. The owner was brilliant. We used this as a base for the Slateman Triathlon and will go back there again.

Rated by Mr Armstrong reviewed on 31st May 2016

Perfect for a stay in Snowdonia. Lovely conversion, tastefully decorated and modern appliances. Large garden at the front with plenty of room for children and pets. Close to Llanrug village but totally isolated; accessed via 2 gates and across a field of sheep!! Used this as a base for the Slateman Triathlon as it was handy for Llanberis and better than a hotel. The owner was lovely, very informative and even had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. Seriously cannot fault the place and will be back again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the little cottage. With two adults and two children sharing, it was a fantastic size for us all. The accommodation was so lovely inside and the owner was extremely welcoming, she had thought of everything, there was so much attention to detail. We really didn't expect it to be so perfect. The location is excellent to get to all local attractions and the barn is set with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It was kept in beautiful condition and is obviously very well looked after. I would definitely recommend to others and would love to return again. Thanks so much for having us!

We stayed in Beudy Hywel beginning of May 2015 and the weather was wet, very wet but still came away having a lovely stay and that was down to the cottage. The owner was lovely, easy to talk to and you felt nothing was too much effort. Looks lovely form the outside as you can see and the view of Snowdon is a pleasure to behold. Inside the cottage is very nice too. Nice and clean, plenty of space for the two of us. The appliances are new and clean, easy to use and wouldn't of asked for more. All in all I really recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

An absolutely stunning cottage in a wonderfully private location with stunning views across Snowdonia. Beudy Hywel has clearly been lovingly created using local stone and architectural detail. The interior is beautifully finished and we loved our time there in the middle of winter. We fully intend to return in the summer.

The view of the sunsets from Byeudy Hywell were spectacular. I loved being surrounded by sheep, the quiet situation of the cottage and the beautiful surroundings. Spotlessly clean and stylish, the bed was excellent and the owner made us very welcome. We would definitely stay in the cottage again and recommend it to friends. Walks are from the front door, so no real need to get in the car to go for walks. A great place to stay.

Such a good barn conversion, terrific setting - convenient for mountains and coast and even a hedgehog on the lawn in the morning.

Rated by Mr Manning reviewed on 11th June 2014

My partner and I stayed here just a few weeks ago and it was the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. The barn has been converted in a very modern way but it is very cosy and homely. The cottage is reached via two gated fields and overlooks a large expanse of grass from where you can see Snowdon, and it was lovely sitting out in the evening watching the bunnies, and sheep and horses nearby. It was very well located for all the gorgeous mountains and countryside of Snowdonia as well as giving good access to the coast and Anglesey. Llanrug itself is a 10 minute walk, with a couple of pubs, general stores, post office and fish and chip shop. The cottage is very well equipped for two people, being open plan, and lovely to come home to at the end of a tiring day. We definitely hope to return.

Rated by ZaksAngel reviewed on 8th June 2014

Our holiday was perfect! The cottage was everything we could wish for. The location was peaceful, but also near to the local shops. The owner had provided everything we might need, including wine & milk! Also a basket of goodies for our little dog. We shall definitely be returning next year.

Rated by Mrs Allbutt reviewed on 8th June 2014

This holiday cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The location was ideal for the mountains and the coast and Llanberis and Caernarvon were just minutes away. The setting was enchanting - a short drive through two gated fields and the cottage was there, with a fabulous view of Snowdon from the field in front of the garden, and sheep, bunnies and birds to watch from the cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, with an open-plan contemporary feel, and a very welcoming place to come back to each evening. It was very cosy and homely. We had a fabulous holiday and this cottage was a part of that.

Rated by Miss McLaren reviewed on 4th January 2014

I stayed at the Beudy Hywel with my wife and our 9 month old baby for a week in Dec 2013, and with regards to the cottage, our stay was near perfect! Some points that I must mention: 1. Very tastefully decorated, top quality modern furnishings and kitchen equipment, huge LCD makes you feel at home. Everything is there to make you not miss home! The welcome wine was a pleasant surprise :-) 2. Lovely owner, Mrs. Banner - she was so very helpful in making sure we were comfortable - right from directions (which aren't easy if not guided properly!) to the setup of the place, especially for our 9 month old... Very warm and friendly owner! 3. The views - mesmerising! the cottage is at a height so the views of the town / village, especially at night are breathtaking! The sheep in the fields and the horses next door make the stay very pleasing! 4. Open until midnight huge Tesco and Morrisons near Caernarfon (within 3-4 miles) - so very handy for supplies! 5. Mrs. Banner lives just across the field, so in case of any help, there's nothing to worry about. Some additional info (these didn't bother us, but worth noting!): 1. No washing machine, though there are laundrettes within close enough driving distance. 2. If you're traveling in winters, I would strongly recommend driving your own car as the approach to the cottage is 'through' 2 fields which are literally part of the property, but don't have any lights, quite understandably. Being new to the place, you don't want to be walking through the dark! Overall - a FANTASTIC stay, I would give this 5 stars on 5 - the additional info is just something to be aware of to make sure there aren't any surprises!

Décor is to a very high standard, and everything has been considered, all your holiday needs are met in this property.

Rated by Mr Mitchell reviewed on 1st September 2013

Everything was left ready for us, even a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival. Although my husband and I were away for a walking holiday the place has a couple retreat feel about it, the decor is well set out and furnished with a very relaxing feel to it. The space outside is lovely with the chairs, barbecue to use and water feature giving you an isolated feel with only she sheep and a pony in the next field for company. We couldn't have asked for anything more out of our holiday and I would stay there again if in the area, beautifully peaceful.
