The cottage was great, very roomy and bright. The owner was very helpful and accommodating in storing our bikes for us. I highly recommend this cottage!

This is a wonderful place to stay in the Dolgellau area. It's conveniently located just outside the main Dolgellau town (although uphill on the way back), so it's in easy walking distance but there's no need to drive through the narrow streets of the town and there's somewhere to park. There are some great walks (e.g. New Precipice Walk) which can be done straight from the cottage, and others only a short drive away (e.g. Cadaer Idris). Within the cottage, the upstairs open-place living space has large windows to give great views of the town and mountain out front, and sheep and chickens at the rear! The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds comfortable for tired walkers, and it was spotlessly clean throughout. Also dog friendly!

The cottage has a welcoming feel about it. It is clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped with all we needed. The views upstairs both front and back are wonderful and we availed ourselves of many of the activities the Dolgellau area has to offer. Our neighbour was charming and very helpful.

A very pleasant, clean and well equipped holiday cottage. A perfect base for exploring the many coastal towns and attractions. Only a short walk into town for shopping, cycle hire and restaurants. A peaceful location with wonderful views, ample car parking, and easy to find from owners/sykes directions. Would certainly hire this cottage again.

The property was well prepared and presented and was in a good location only a few minutes walk into the town. The views from the cottage were stunning.

We were new to North Wales and we found our location perfect for travelling around the area. Despite that the weather forecast from the internet was not good we only encountered an hour of rain on one day. We feel that we need to revisit this area because we still feel there is lots to see.

The cottage is located a 10 minute walk to the town centre and there is easy accessibility to local sites and attractions. The cottage was a good base from which to enjoy our many activities. The cottage was fantastic, the views breathtaking from the living room, and dining area upstairs. Will be going back next year without hesitation.

Rated by Mr Kennedy reviewed on 12th August 2013

The view was superb as was the general location. The cottage was really roomy and well presented throughout. We particularly liked the fact that it was also a small holding with animals about in the fields - we enjoyed watching the chickens! A really good place for a holiday, giving great access to some beautiful countryside. We enjoyed staying there very much.

Excellent cottage, warm, comfortable and well equipped. The views from the upstairs living accommodation are magnificent and I enjoyed watching the calves, the lambs and the cockerel! Very close to the town, the steep hill hard work but not impossible.

Basically, it was as advertised. It was comfortable, spacious, well-equipped and clean. It was well located for hill walking, the town and supermarkets etc. There were spectacular autumn colours in the valleys throughout the area. Would certainly use it again if we ever go back to that area.

Good location for Cadair Idris, the Arans and the Rhinogs. It was very comfortable and just what we look for in a cottage for such a holiday. Also had nice views of the town and Cadair Idris.

Rated by Mr Pollinger reviewed on 19th November 2012

Location and the views from the lounge windows. The upside down cottage idea works really well so that you get stunning views when eating. Being next door to the owner was very useful.

Rated by Mr Leith reviewed on 27th August 2012

It was a very comfortable quirky cottage with fabulous views and lots of animals. Great walking and biking in the vicinity. We climbed Cadair Idris and the Aran Ridge. We biked the Mawwdach trail to Barmouth straight from the cottage and had great fun mountain-biking in Coed-y Brenin-forest.

The cottage is located in a great location for exploring the Snowdonian Park and the coast line, it is well provided to cater for all needs and has wonderful views from the first floor lounge/ diner. The overall experience of this holiday was first class and the cottage comes highly recommended from this party.

Rated by Miss Kemp reviewed on 2nd October 2011

Friendly owner and a lovely view from the kitchen window - I could sit there for hours looking at the comings and goings of all the farm animals and wild rabbits.

Rated by Mrs Snowdon reviewed on 30th August 2011

The views from the cottage were absolutely spectacular, from overlooking the valley up to the breathtaking mountains and the fields to the rear with calves and rabbits. We never got bored of looking out of the windows and this was maximised by the upstairs downstairs arrangement. The cottage felt modern, comfortable and clean, a home from home. The owner was pleasant and friendly but gave you complete privacy, even though only next door, and made the offer of assistance if required. The nearby Precipice Walk is a must as we saw the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen and we would like to revisit.

A lovely property set in a beautiful location!

Rated by Mr Thorn reviewed on 8th August 2011

The property was fantastic - everything was there - but when you're 70 that hill - oh dear - what a climb! But I should love to go again. The view was also fantastic front and back with cows, calves and rabbits.
