Reviews

Extremely disappointed with the stay and outcome of our complaint. The house was listed as a luxury stay and that couldn't of been further from what we experienced, the house was disgustingly filthy to the point where we didn't wash our clothes there as the washing machine was mouldy and the only load of washing we did came out stinking. The tv was out dated the controller was broken and the internet was extremely slow lucky to get 1mbs which wouldnt of been so bad if there was phone signal in the house there wasnt. The hot tub hadn't been cleaned in a long time ( the water was green) and I know this as I have a hot tub at home. I'm assuming there isn't a cleaner there as the amount of dust and rubbish left around the house and in the furniture was horrendous and made me feel sick and uncomfortable the entire stay. The railing on the balcony is dangerous as its loose and the climbing frame outside is NOT safe for children to be on as its not anchored down and the slide is split. The so called "games room" was massively disappointing as a skanky dart board and ping-pong table in a dirty shed isn't a games room. The owner had been watching the house while we were there as when we went out one day he had been around unannounced and cut the grass and I had a feeling someone had been in the house while we were out as the inside door had been left open when I definitely shut it. It's hard to list all the issues with the property but you can see the state of it by the pictures. We went through the complaints department to try and come to a resolution on this matter and the owner wasn't bothered and said he would do nothing about the situation even after seeing the pictures we sent. I'm appalled by his response and acknowledgement of his disgusting house wouldn't recommend this property to anyone.

The cottage was absolutely fantastic in every way. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very spacious throughout. The hot tub and the games room were the highlights and just topped off a great week. Situated in an amazing location in the countryside with great views, but only a short drive away to several villages and towns. We found several walks directly from the cottage door. We have rented many cottages over the years but this was by far the best yet.

The house is well equipped, providing more than enough space for it's occupants. The facilities it provides cater for all the family. We visited with three generations of the family and everyone enjoyed their holiday and the accommodation.

This cottage was so spacious, it was ideal for a large family or group of friends. It went far beyond our expectations. Everywhere was neat clean and tidy. The enclosed gardens with a kids play area was great and perfectly safe. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the excellent location and the views from the balcony were superb. Being able to feed the sheep, if you so wished, was an added bonus, especially for the youngsters.

Amazing settings, friendly owners and a beautiful property. The hot tub is a great addition.

Rated by Mrs Parker reviewed on 16th May 2014

We couldn't fault anything in regards to this property. A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The décor is of a very high standard and everything is spotlessly clean. The owner left buckets of feed so that we could feed the sheep if we wished. Our son loved doing this. They really had thought of everything - baby monitors, toys and puzzles, a file of information about the local area. The hot tub in the garden really topped it off and made our holiday. We will definitely be visiting again and recommending to our friends.

Rated by Mrs TURNER reviewed on 7th August 2013

The house was lovely, the views stunning, location good for visiting many places. The owners were very obliging, but allowed us our privacy. We could not fault this property and were sad to leave.

Rated by Mrs Dyson reviewed on 1st August 2013

We were met by owners on arrival who showed us round their beautiful and immaculately clean property. They had lambs in the paddock and allowed our grandchildren to feed them. They specifically bought feed for this and it made their holiday. There were toys provided inside and out and even cot bedding. We could not fault anything.

Rated by Mrs Pennington reviewed on 17th June 2013

The cottage was fantastic, it was perfect for our party with 4 young children. They were able to safely explore the outside area and enjoyed the slide and scooters on the driveway. The rooms were sizable and well appointed. Having en-suites to the two main bedroom was a big bonus. The kitchen was large and suitable for our party of 8.

We had a truly marvellous holiday. The cottage was outstanding and the location perfect with plenty to do and see in the local vicinity. We didn't want to leave!

Rated by Mrs Atkinson reviewed on 1st August 2011

The house and garden were fantastic. The bbq and patio furniture were particularly useful in the nice weather.

Rated by Kitchen reviewed on 3rd May 2011

The kitchen was our favourite part of the house! Having that much room and being so well supplied, we spent a lot of time cooking wonderful meals for us all to enjoy. The whole house was fantastic, we even had the fire roaring a few times. Very peaceful, with the bleating sheep out the front the only noise to be heard! I would definitely recommend this agent and this property without hesitation.
