Reviews

The previous reviews echo most of our sentiments about this very comfortable holiday home so I won’t repeat any of it. Suffice to say we had a lovely stay here. I must mention how helpful Caroline was with all our enquiries and requirements right till our day of arrival. Thank you Caroline. We do have two suggestion to make. When it says 7 bedrooms with en-suite, it should be specified that one of the seven is not only smaller than the rest but has an en-suite not suitable for average built adults. One couple In our party felt they had been squeezed into children’s accommodation. A stairlift to the first floor would be very helpful for some mobility challenged members of a group. The views were lovely and so was the beach.

A truly memorable week. The whole family gathered for a 90th birthday celebration and this lovely hall coped admirably. An amazingly well equipped kitchen with aga and rangemaster, a fantastic array of equipment. Bedrooms are all spacious, comfortable and clean with their own facilities. Lovely rooms downstairs allowing guests to spread out and chose their own entertainment, 2 tv rooms, a piano, snooker table, conservatory. The train station is a short walk away, enabling some of our non-driving guests to get there easily, direct from the Midlands. The beach is also nearby and has stunning views. We really did have a fabulous family gathering, and Pensarn Hall added to the whole experience by being warm, homely and welcoming. The only thing that would prevent us booking again is the lack of a downstairs bedroom. We managed this year but may not find it possible in the future which is unfortunate.

We had a family gathering in February...the owners were great at giving assurance about the property before we arrived. It's a large old hall that has plenty of space and character. as it retains some of it's period features from a past time. It commands good view over the estuary, but you need a car as there's not much locally. The place is very clean and well supplied. The water pressure is a bit rubbish upstairs, but that wont detract from your stay.

Had a great long weekend at Pensarn Hall. It is really well equipped for a large group. Loads of space, really well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms. Everything you need is provided. The station is at the end of the road, ( a bonus if you do a walk and need a lift back). Very pretty countryside accessible from the house. Harlech is an interesting walk away. Easy to book and all arrangements, information etc really helpful.

A house so full of character and history but yet warm, very comfortable and providing everything a family or group could possibly need. We had a wonderful second visit and hope to return as soon as possible. The house is situated in a stunning setting with gardens that are natural and sensitive to the environment.

We immediately felt at home and loved choosing the bedrooms all with their own bathroom. The kitchen was superb, and so well equipped. We would definitely recommend it to friends and consider another stay in the future.

We sure hit the spot with this rental. We wanted to travel to North Wales to celebrate a family members birthday, someone who lives near Beddgelert, so my wife Bernie booked Pensarn Hall just over a year ago having read of the facilities available. There was to be 16 of us with ages ranging from a 3 year old right up to those in their (ahem) mid fifties and everything in between. Did we strike it lucky? Yep we sure did. We emailed our rental contact, Caroline, incessantly (sorry Caroline) with questions and clarifications and changes and confirmations. We always received a reply back very quickly and Caroline couldn't do more to accommodate us and make us feel as if this was going to be a great time, and a great time it was. Pensarn Hall was fabulous. Everyone and everything was catered for whether young or (ahem) older. We even had a well known superstore deliver all our groceries to us as we arrived - easy huh? The facilities were so well planned out from the fantastic super-sized kitchen with all mod cons to every bedroom with en-suite and enough room and rooms to host a FA Cup final (OK I exaggerated a little there) During our time (3 days) we only had one problem. We were short one Z-bed for one of the toddlers which we noticed shortly after arriving. I dropped Caroline a voicemail and 30 minutes later a very nice friendly man arrived with a Z-bed and set it up for us....problem solved. I know this sounds too good to be true but every one of us couldn't fault it. (Including the 3 year old..isn't that right Robyn? The point of the web site, in this instance, is to set your mind at ease if you are considering renting Pensarn Hall. Let me tell you....this is a no-brainer. Book it, enjoy it, and tell your friends about it. You will take away only fantastic memories Oh! and by the way a previous reviewer said it was difficult to find...not so, our sat nav took us right to it. There are two drives into the residence the best being the one with the "castle tower" style gate posts....with a sign saying "PENSARN HALL" !

The house was excellent for a family such as ours with ages from 6 to 70, the youngsters loved the space, and the older members enjoyed the garden areas and conservatory. It is also situated in an area of beauty with lots to do for all ages.

Rated by Mrs Farmer reviewed on 8th August 2015

Plenty of space in the house, good facilities and character of house. The garden is great and the outlook from the house is lovely and interesting. The beach is close by and there is plenty to do in the area.

A lovely warm house with plenty of living space, not just bedrooms. Beautiful location and views.

A very comfortable large property that suited us very well. The location was very convenient too, with easy access up and down the coast by train and activities out the door.

We enjoyed the location and the view from the house and garden. The kitchen was so well equipped - absolutely everything we wanted. The conservatory was ideal for us all to sit and chat. The snooker table provided an extra activity in the evenings. En-suite bathrooms for every bedroom made life easy and it was beautifully maintained and clean.

Pensarn Hall suited our purpose extremely well. We are 6 couples who holiday regularly together and we each prefer to have our own en-suite facilities and, therefore, Pensarn Hall was ideal. It was extremely well equipped and very clean and cosy. The views of the surrounding area from the house are superb and it is in a great position to be able to enjoy the sites and beauty of the surrounding area.

A beautiful house, lots of space for a family reunion. Spectacular views and access to the coast.

An amazing property, well looked after, and thorough cleaners! Very handy for local places to visit. Very generously stocked with crockery and cutlery. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Pensarn was a delight. Everything we could have asked for as a large family group was there available to us. We were most impressed with the house, it's contents and it's location. I hope that one day we will return.

Without doubt Pensarn Hall was one of the best venues that our group has used. We have been having annual get-togethers all round the country for the past 20+ years. We are a group of 13 or 14, so need a good house with space & as many en-suite bedrooms as possible. The kitchen was a delight, so well equipped and organised with plenty of Portmerion china. Pensarn met all our criteria. What a wonderful setting it would be for a large family Christmas gathering. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. My only negative was the fact that if you brought a dog it would have to stay in the basement. I quite appreciate not having dogs in the house. I'm glad we didn't take ours.

We were all so impressed with Pensarn Hall, for our St George's hospital nurses reunion. We have been doing long weekends together for the last 30+ years and the general consensus was that this house was without doubt the best.

Very comfortable, well-equipped house in an excellent location. We made contact with the owner on several occasions and she was extremely helpful, especially in helping us to organise a birthday celebration in the house.

Rated by Mr Hood reviewed on 17th September 2012

Had a wonderful time staying here, clean, warm, and very comforable, all kitchen equipment supplied, absolutely loved it, didnt want to leave Central for all the places we wanted to visit. My only little ctiticism would be, that it wasn't sign posted and we had terrible trouble finding it, had to go and ask in the shop.
