Reviews

We loved staying in this cottage. There was excellent dog walking right from front door and great wildlife came into the garden. The cottage was very clean and had a lovely wood burner in the lounge. We can't wait to go back.

We loved the cottage, it was bigger than we thought it would be. A lovely thought the cakes and the wine, really nice touch. The teenage kids and the dog loved the freedom and privacy of the cottage without it being to isolated. We loved the beach that was close by with the lighthouse. You could stay on that beach or walk to some very secluded bays from there. Saw lots of wildlife from the cottage birds, birds and more birds, red squirrels and deer. Lots of shops nearby in Stranraer. We also travelled further to please the kids to Laggan outdoor centre to Zip wire, brilliant, a worthwhile visit. Couldn't recommend this lovely cottage enough, would love to come back.

We loved this little cottage, because of its' location, the huge garden (not totally dog-friendly but fine for well behaved dogs) and surrounding woodlands.. loch just nearbye, wonderful log burner (unlimited logs) very interesting countryside - very friendly helpful owner.. yummy choc. biscuits and bottle of wine provided. Would love to stay there again but a 7 hr. journey from us. Quite interesting places to visit, i.e. beaches, parks and gardens, all within a few miles. Nearest main supermarket was in Stranraer, but a little village store in Leswait itself. The coastline up to Girvan and beyond is alo interesting, and we did see seals.

Location was good for a holiday where we could go walking with our two dogs. The position of the cottage was ideal as it was situated in a quiet rural area but not to far away from local amenities.

A wonderful location. Very quiet, lots of wildlife; deer, red squirrel, woodpecker and no end of small birds. A very nice, quaint, little cottage.
