Penmachno is a small village situated in the Snowdonia National Park, just 4 miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed. The whole area is perfect for walking, cycling, and climbing. Betws-y-Coed has shops, pubs and tearooms, plus the waterfalls and river pools are well worth a visit. Explore the National Park, whilst further afield is North Wales' Heritage Coastlines.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Disaster from day one. Cottage forgotten to be cleaned by cleaners. Garden a jungle and really not adequate for dogs or sitting out. Entrance to property disgusting. Front of cottage all along skirting boards black with mould. Dishwasher not working. Placed eventually cleaned roughly before going in (had to spend 1st night in hotel). To top it all horrible septic tank smell throughout the place but very strong in bathroom. Only good point great shower! Owner needs to up his game by ensuring the cottage is habitable. Sykes ABSOLUTELY no help whatsoever. Do not recommend this cottage.
The cottage is in a very nice location with superb views and easy access to good walking and mountain biking.
The cottage was comfy, warm and relaxing and we really enjoyed our stay. It provided a good base for touring that part of Wales. The garden was dog proof which is always a bonus as we have two boisterous collies. We would definitely stay here again.
Great for families - toys and books left for all ages, also crockery and cutlery for toddlers was appreciated and a couple of options for different sleeping arrangements.
It is a lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. We were four adults and there was plenty of room. The log burner is absolutely lovely in the evening, nice and cosy.
Nice cottage in a nice location. Great views and well situated for touring North Wales.
Loved all of it! The cottage was cosy and a great base to explore Snowdonia. The views at the back were amazing, and I loved the sheep. Managed to explore many places in two weeks but still want to come back to see more.
Fantastic base with fabulous views great central base for what we wanted to do. Betws-y-Coed wonderful little town with a fantastic waterfall. Conwy had a wonderful castle. Really fabulous time and the Welsh very welcoming beautiful country.
A lovely cottage for us and our little boy. Well-equipped, great views and a great location for a week's holiday.
The cottage was in a nice quiet location with friendly neighbours and little traffic, so ideal for walking our dog, yet easy access to Snowdonia and North Wales.
A very clean and comfortable cottage.
The cottage was wonderful and very well equipped. Views were great and plenty to see and do. Thank you!
