A lovely holiday cottage located on the edge of the Cambrian mountains. The hosts Geraint and Iona were super friendly and very accommodating giving us recommendations of places to eat and visit on our few days away. They recommended heading to Aberystwyth, which was a lovely day away. Their dog Bob truly was the star of the show- he's an absolute softie and got on great with our own dog. The cottage was lovely, with all the amenities. For anyone looking for a holiday staycation I would highly recommend staying at Tangaer Holiday Cottage!

Just got back from a lovely week at this cottage. The location was great and the cottage was lovely and spacious The owners and Bob the dog very friendly. A welcome pack of tea Welsh cakes butter bread and milk greeted us as we entered the cottage. The place was spotless. Very COVID aware and hand sanitiser by the front door. Lovely place to relax and our two dogs loved it. Very friendly cows as well. Every time went into the garden they came down to greet us. Aberaeron only 30 mins away. Recommend the cellar pub especially if you have dogs. Llanerchaeron also worth a visit and is only 4 miles from Aberaeron. A very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful week.

A quiet place to escape and just enjoy the silence. This is a great base for walks and lovers of dark skies. Just a short trip in the car to the coast and rare raised bog. Bob the dog kept us company when we walked from the cottage to the nearby hill fort. We also had clear nights to gaze in wonder at the millions of stars and the milky way. Log fires on chillier nights were also welcome. Would love to stay again.

Fabulous stay in a gorgeous cottage set in idyllic countryside. Tangaer cottage offers stunning accommodation in a quiet and peaceful location with easy access to local amenities. They are extremely Covid aware, and put measures in place to ensure everyones safety. They are dog and child friendly and the owners Iona and Gerrant are amazing and will do everything they can to help make your stay even more amazing. There are tonnes of places to go and walk with your 4 legged friends and little ones within easy reach of the cottage, as well as fantastic beaches and attractions within a short drive. Highly recommend Tangaer, it is simply a relaxing and wonderful place to stay.

We returned to this stunning holiday cottage, We have been quite a few times. The accommodation is beautiful which has everything you can possibly think of, all you need to do on arrival is unpack and enjoy the the beauty inside and outside. We have stayed all different times of the year, so you have the decking area to soak up the sun or the warm cosy wood burner in the winter. There is nothing to fault. We have 2 dogs and there are so many walks on the doorstep and located centrally for trips to the coast etc. The play area for children is fully enclosed and in view from the cottage so the kids can play safely whilst you just sit back and relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The owners are lovely, always so helpful and full of information and ideas of places to visit. It truly is worth a visit and enjoy the tranquil setting. We will be back to see you very soon and Bob if coarse. (Farm dog)

We stayed here with our 4 children 11, 6 and 2. We all had an amzing time. The cottage is beautiful, clean, spacious and very well equipped for families. It had vast amounts of books, board games, dvds and a wii console. The children loved playing ball with the 2 dogs spot and bob! The garden was also great for the children. Its based within an hours drive of lots of attractions and beautiful beaches. The owners were really friendly and welcoming, we even had milk, bread and home made welsh cakes on arrival! We just got home today and we all miss it already. Would highly recommend to other families and couples wanting to explore Wales. I cant think of anything that would improve this cottage-it really is a true home from home!!

We have stayed at Tangear Cottage twice a year for several years now. The countryside around is beautiful and peaceful giving opportunity for walking and enjoying the lovely views. The town of Lampeter is a short drive away with little independent shops as well as a couple of supermarkets. The Pembrokeshire coastline is lovely and makes for a great day out driving through some incredible countryside. Also some lovely places to visit such as the National Trust at Colby Woodland garden where you can walk through the woods down to the beach at Amroth, also the NT at Llanerchaeron. Geraint and Iona are warm and welcoming hosts and are very helpful. The cottage itself is lovely and equipped with everything you need to make for a relaxing home from home experience. We must not forget to mention 2 delightful dogs Bob and Spot who are welcoming and love to be made a fuss of but are also very obedient. We are returning again in the autumn and looking forward to it.

I was so impressed with this cottage. There has been so much thought put into it. It caters for everyone of all ages. Even our dogs that had an enclosed area that we could safely put them in whilst we enjoyed the sunshine on the decking area just outside the cottage. Its great for children as there is a safe place for them and plenty to do and play with. The added bonus was having free WIFI. The cottage has everything you need and alot of thought gone into it by the friendly owners who are very welcoming and very helpful. Its a place we will be returning to as it was like home from home with stunning countryside views and lots of lovely places to vist. Truely stunning in every way.

Located just a few miles outside Lampeter the cottage is fabulous and has everything you need for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Beautiful walks can begin and end on the doorstep with regular opportunities to see the soaring Red Kites resident in the area! Miles of quiet roads surround the cottage which are an absolute joy for the road cyclist... and there is secure storage for the bike also! Lampeter offers many wonderful and unique coffee shops and restaurants... and Aberaeron with its quaint harbour and seaside is not too far away. Iona and Geraint (and of course Bob and Spot - the dogs) always give us a very warm welcome. We have returned as a family and are looking forward to our next visit!

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to this fabulous cottage and 3rd year running to this area of Wales. The cottage is still as good as it was in last years review being one of the best we have stayed in and great value. Sparky and the kids got to play with there old friends Bob and Spot. This year the weather was perfect for us apart from packing up today when it was pouring down,so managed to get out and about in Aberystwyth Aberaeron and New Quay beaches a visit to the National Show Caves and a trip to the Devils Bridge Falls catching the steam train to Aberystwyth also taking in the Waterfalls at Devils Bridge ( need to be fit for these so left Mom and Dad in the cafe at the top) these were all within an hr or so of the cottage. Thanks for letting us stay sure we will return soon.

Just had a week at this cottage with my partner, his Mum, a 13 year old boy and our little dog. We all loved it. The basketball hoop was a great touch. The cottage is clean, fresh and has everything you could possibly need. The log fire was lovely. The scenery is amazing and it is so peaceful. The owners were very helpful and friendly even lending us their binoculars for our dolphin spotting trip in New Quay. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. The resident dogs Spot and Bob are very friendly, so much so, our little dog who is often intimidated by bigger dogs actually got on really well with them. I can't fault this place. We visited Aberystwyth, Aberaron and New Quay. New Quay was our favourite. The photos we had seen of the cottage prior to our visit did not do it justice. It is gorgeous. You would be a fool not to stay here.

My daughter loved the garden and the kids play activity available like the swing, slide and sand play. I particularly loved the basketball.

Just returned from a wonderful week in this fantastic cottage. Total luxury with a four poster bed and huge jacuzzi bath. Owners very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Lovely welcome pack provided as well. Has decked area to front of property and also area further over with play equipment for children. Iona very helpful with areas to walk our dog. The property does not have an enclosed yard or garden. Lovely beaches a short drive away but I understand these do not allow dogs in high season. Bob and Spot the farm dogs roam freely to the front of the cottage during the day and were very friendly. Possibly this would not suit non dog loving visitors. Highly recommended and great value. Hope to return next year!

We have rented many cottages in Wales over the years and this must be one of the best. Very cosy sleeping 4 adults 2 kids and our dog. Spotlessly clean and welcoming on arrival lovely bedrooms and bathroom. Plenty of space and seating in the living room with a small unexpected welcome pack. Arranged a Tesco shop to be delivered on arrival which worked a treat. Close too many beaches which we have visited on the sunny days and relaxed on the not so sunny ones. Friendly owners and even more friendly dogs called Spot and Bob who Sparky and the kids loved playing with.

My partner and I went for a week break and I couldn't have wished for anything better. We are hoping to take our children there with us next time as soon as we have dates that suit and I'm already looking forward to it!
