Location Details

The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its boating lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. An interesting base for a break exploring the Peak District.

The house was great for our party of 10. Lovely house and worked well for us all with plenty of space

Had a wonderful 3 night stay with extended family. This house is excellent for family gatherings. Well designed and equipped with loads of space for everyone. Will certainly go again without hesitation.

This is our second visit to Manor House. It is a great property and location for touring the Peak District. It is excellent for a family get together of 10 and brilliant for the disabled or those with walking difficulties. Would highly recommend this property.

It was a fantastic cottage in which we had a lovely stay.

When I say that the holiday house was perfect, I mean that it was perfect. It was immaculate in every way. The whole place is a tribute to the care and attention to detail that the owner has undertaken. We did not want to go home. Each and every room said quality to you throughout.

We went as a surprise birthday weekend for my partner. As there were a lot of us I was worried that we would be on top of each other but the bungalow was so spacious with excellent facilities. It was very clean and had everything that you needed. The kitchen was amazing. There was plenty of room in the lounge and dining room for us all to be together. The outside area was lovely and set in a lovely location. There were pubs in walking distance. We had a brilliant time, would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going again!

There are so many positive things to say about this property; the grand entrance & hallway, the spacious lounge with enough sofas for everyone to sit comfortably, the stunning well equipped kitchen and the practical dining room. Each bedroom was stylishly decorated, there were plenty of en suites and bathrooms and a large garden & drive. Everything was clean and well maintained, the list could go on! This house was perfect for us and we all said we would love to stay here again. I agree with previous comments, the photos are beautiful, but this property is better than the photos.

Our family members all arrived at different times, and like my husband and myself were absolutely stunned at the quality and size of the cottage. We all agreed that the pictures we viewed on the website did not lead us to expect such a wonderful place. Every effort was made to ensure the accommodation was immaculate and fully equipped for our every need and comfort. Our three grandchildren loved the space and the garden. We all enjoyed the quiet location and surrounding countryside. The local amenities were more than adequate for a short or longer stay.

Our time at Manor House was all fantastic - we had the weekend away for my husband's 50th birthday, we all had a lovely time and the accommodation was better than anticipated - Well done

Manor House is a fabulous house for a large family gathering. We would return in a heartbeat.

The Manor House was excellent and very spacious. It is such a lovely property and in a good location. We really enjoyed our New Year here and will be hoping to do so again in the near future.

We were so impressed with the property that we have already booked again for next year. An absolutely superb property, would recommend to anyone. It was great for couples, groups and families.

Manor House was even better than it looked in the pictures. It was extremely spacious, welcoming, spotlessly clean and comfortable; well-equipped too, and with a very large garden. Everything being housed on one floor suited us fine and the configuration of the five bedrooms and five luxurious bath/shower rooms was perfect. All in all, a perfect holiday home which we would definitely recommend.

Went for a family weekend away and Manor House exceeded our expectations. The photos don't really do justice to the house or grounds. There were 10 of us but there was more than enough space for adults and children. Everything was of a high specification and we could happily recommend this beautiful property.

A great family holiday, the location is perfect for local attractions and amenities, only wish we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic property and garden. Every room was very well equipped and big, all the bathrooms were lovely.

Rated by Mr Price reviewed on 26th January 2015

Property was excellent. Exceeded expectations. There was plenty of space for 10 of us. All to very high spec. Good for large groups.

A beautiful property in a lovely setting with rural views all around. Had a huge hall, living room, kitchen and master bedroom suite. Outside table & chairs were lovely. Property was secluded and safe (electric gates, burglar alarm and security camera) although easily accessible.

Rated by Mrs Brocklebank reviewed on 13th September 2014

The house is fabulous, so much so we didn't need to venture out much at all. Although we did do some sight seeing in Chesterfield and Matlock Baths. The play area in the garden was lovely for the grandchildren and when there cousins visited us for the day a good time was had by all, finished off with a BBQ in the evening. We chose this particular house for our large family holiday and the accessibility for my wheelchair bound husband, with several wet room bathrooms was wonderful too. We used the one by the gym as we had the twin bedded room.
