This is a perfect place for a visit to Oban. We would certainly recommend it. There were only 2 of us but it can certainly accommodate 6 people.
Lovely clean comfortable warm house. Loads of space for 6, could easily accommodate more. Our 2 yr old loved it. Lovely wee touches like toilet roll, cleaning stuff were provided which I always find disappointing when hiring holiday homes and you get a days worth! Easy access to town and very helpful owners. Would love to go back.
Amazing holiday rental the pictures just don’t do it justice! It’s huge! Superb living and kitchen areas, comfy and immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms! Spent a week here with my family and we were all absolutely delighted with the Villa. It really really felt like home! Will 100% be back!
Woodland Villa is large, clean & with all the modern amenities, loads of parking space and most of all its very peaceful and the owners who live in the next cottage are a lovely couple. Bedrooms have loads of wardrobe space extra blankets if needed and there are enough bathrooms to accommodate a large family. Good Wi-Fi and whopping 55 inch smart TV for those nights that you may stay in It’s about a 15 minute walk into Oban with its several bars and restaurants, also a large Tesco for any supplies you may need. Its uphill back if you’ve got the stamina, however, if not a cab from the town centre will set you back £4. Oban is also a good touring base, Inveraray, Fort William and Glencoe are just an hour’s drive away and the ferries sail from Oban to most of the Inner Hebrides, we enjoyed our stay, despite the rain. Would definitely recommend.
This property is a great base for exploring the wonderful west coast and nearby islands, standing at the top of the hill, McCaigs Tower a short walk away. The house is spacious and was spotlessly clean, light and airy. The only things that let this property down are the kitchen utensils, only one decent saucepan, the others either didn't have lids or were very worn. Not enough mugs and plates that looked old and crazed. One of the dining chairs was very worn and a cushion in the lounge had a large tear in it. Spending a few pounds on some decent kitchen equipment and mending/replacing some of the furniture would make this property outstanding. All this said, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the Woodland Villa and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.
A lovely home within walking distance of Oban and surrounded by stunning countryside. We will definitely be going back.
This property was just perfect - it was exactly what we were looking for, and in a great location. The log fire in the living room added to the experience. The showers were also amazing, as were the warm beds. Thanks!
Stayed here over Xmas with friends there were 6 of us in total. Great kitchen well fitted out so we were able to cook Xmas dinner easily , nice dining area, big lounge and conservatory. There are 3 generous bedrooms 1 ensuite with a separate bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs....pleasingly the house is very warm throughout. It is about a 10 minute walk downhill into Oban town centre....and there is the distillery , bars and restaurants there ....I can recommend Norries Chip Shop....fantastic ! I would suggest getting a cab back late at night as it is dark and uphill....but only about £4 to £5 in a cab.
Woodland Villa is in a lovely location with restful view of hill from the bedroom window. Very spacious accommodation with comfortable furniture and fittings.
The overall standard of Woodland Villa and the facilities provided were first class.
A quiet location, it was very relaxing.
It was a haven to my family and, even in the snow it was lovely.
It was very relaxing, lovely place to chill.
It was a weekend break to visit family in the Oban area - considering it was November the weather for the most part was good. Oban in the sunshine is a stunning place to be and with our accommodation set above Oban and near McCaig's tower, once we were out walking into town, the views across to Kerrera and the Isle of Mull were magnificent. The heating and lighting was always comfortable and a special mention for the wood burning stove - just lovely! What's not to like it was great, most enjoyable and the accommodation 4 star.
The house and its setting were beautiful. It was a fantastic base to explore Oban, Mull and Iona as well as the surrounding areas. The house had plenty of room for 6 adults - we were never falling over each other. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had rented the house to show visiting Canadian family some more of Scotland and they loved it. The sun shone every day so the scenery was at its spectacular best.
The house was beautiful and lots of room in it. Was only a few minutes drive to all shops and the sea front.
