Reviews

We stayed here for 5 nights in October half term with our teenage daughter & 2 dogs. The cottage has been very well converted & everything you may need is provided. The beds were of good quality & comfortable ( not always the case when renting a cottage!) & the kitchen had a good dishwasher & washing machine. There is a small enclosed garden which is also a bonus when on holiday with dogs as we were able to let them out in the morning without worrying about the road ( or getting dressed!) . Lovely walks opposite too. There are lots of places to visit , we loved Burton Bradstock & the Hive Beach Cafe (see separate review). We also went to the New Forest as our son lives in Southampton & we visited him a couple of times whilst there. Would definitely recommend this property.

The photos of the property do it no justice! It is far more spacious than it looks, we were pleasantly surprised. Imaginatively converted and beautifully furnished.

We were particularly impressed by the well thought out provision of kitchen equipment. It was all spectacularly clean as well. We would certainly book the cottage again.

A lovely cottage in an amazing location. We couldn't have asked for a better place.

The cottage is good for dogs as it has a large entrance hall with stone flooring, so after a dog walk you can towel down the dogs without messing up other rooms. there are a lot of good walks in that area Cottage is well maintained, while we were there the grass was cut & the windows where cleaned inside & out.

The Cottage was very clean and well maintained, this is important to us as we like to cook at home. The garden was ideal for our dog and the outside seating area was bright and sunny.

The cottage was positioned perfectly to explore the major attractions of Dorset. The surrounding area was beautiful and the size and condition of the cottage exceeded our expectations. A great choice and one we would go to again and recommend to family and friends.

The cottage was well appointed and the location was great for exploring North Dorset. The local pub in Winterborne Stickland, The Crown Inn was welcoming and the food was very good.

On arrival we found a wonderful courtyard of cottages, the whole outside area was very clean and tidy. On entering the cottage we found a cake, pint of milk tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. The cottage itself is furnished to a very high standard with plenty of room. It is perfectly sited to explore Dorset with lots of lovely walks and beautiful scenery on the doorstep. You are only 1 mile from Winterborne Stickland which has a very friendly pub serving good food and a post office with small store. Everyone we have met was very friendly. A great holiday experience, we will definitely be returning

The Cottage was beautifully decorated, spacious and situated in a very peaceful and beautiful part of the country. The shared games room was a particular favourite.

A beautiful, well appointed cottage which we would book again. The only downside from our perspective was its distance from the sea and local amenities.

Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation and a great base for exploring Dorset.

Rated by Mrs Cooke reviewed on 9th August 2014

The flexibility and convenience of not being limited to a schedule was great. The slightly remote location inland made for a very peaceful and quiet week. It was within reach of a lot of interesting places.
