We booked as we had wanted a countryside setting rather than a town centre. On arrival we loved seeing the awesome views and the feeding stations for a variety of birds. We opened our 2 bedroom apartment and it had everything we needed. The views from the front double bedroom and the lounge were exceptional, rolling countryside for miles with birds always coming for feed to the well-stocked feeders. On the first morning I saw two foxes about 150 yards away in a field running playfully. The apartment had all facilities one would need for a week's stay. This was an ideal base for Bourton-on-the-Water and Diddly Squat - Jeremy Clarkson's farm - was a 25 minutes drive. Many lovely towns were viewed but we always enjoyed returning to Fluff's Farm. We did some local walks with tremendous views across the Cotswolds. When we left we said a fond farewell to Roy and Sue, the owners. We can only praise them for their warmth, their kindness and their advice. We have never had a better holiday accommodation, thanks so much Sue and Roy, we will return within the next 12 months, Fluff's Farm is outstanding.
Just returned from a lovely week in Bourton-on-the-Water. Beautiful Cotswold View is excellent, very spacious, stunning views from both main bedroom and lounge areas over the Windrush valley and little balcony was lovely to sit outside on very warm evenings. Accommodation was clean and just like photo’s (booked through Sykes Cottages), only downside was outside BBQ area was not really clean and up to date, positioned at other side of property away from the steps leading to our accommodation, also could maybe do with a spruce as not as per photos on booking. You can walk into Bourton, nice 15min walk downhill, a little longer and harder on the uphill return journey though!!! Top floor is in roof area, so landing is not for anyone tall! Owners who live on site, where very friendly and helpful when the smoke alarm in the bedroom malfunctioned a couple of nights. Would definitely return if ever in the area.
The clue is definitely in the name of this place. The view from the lounge and main bedroom was fantastic. Small criticism, housekeeping need to clean the windows after sticky finger children have stayed, the brilliant sunshine showed all the marks up! The weather was so good, we had our breakfast on the balcony every morning, while watching the wildlife right in front of us. A bird table is set up at the front, which has lots of birds visiting. We also saw cows, rabbits, squirrels, we think a stoat and pheasants. Two of us stayed, there is everything you need in this spacious comfortable apartment. Apart from I forgot teabags, was hoping like with most self catering places we’ve stayed, a few essentials might be left. But for the excellent price, that’s just me being picky. If you have forgotten anything there is a Londis shop in Bourton-on-the-Water, which is literally 15 minutes walk, or five minutes drive. The rooms upstairs would be excellent for children, maybe a little tight on space if six adults stayed, definitely go for the main bedroom if sharing with adults. Main bed very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms clean, with lovely big white bath towels. Sink only big enough to wash hands in, men will struggle to shave in these. Lovely big bath, but will use all hot water, so make sure everyone has had shower first. Perfect location to walk into Bourton-on-the-Water, and easy to reach other villages by car. Would definitely recommend a stay just for the beautiful view. Thanks Roy and Sue.
Tucked away nicely in the heart of Bourton is this beautiful cottage with amazing picturesque views as the name suggests. It's very close to Bourton it's self and neighbouring Cotswold villages/towns are roughly 30-45mins to get to. Plenty of wildlife to keep you amused as you sip away at that first cuppa of the morning taking in the glorious views. Make sure you get first dibs on the bedroom on the main floor as you will have the best room in the house. We had the pleasure of the birds singing away, the Lamas wandering around but best of all was the buzzard circling round for his brekkie. The house is very clean and decorated to a lovely standard. It sleeps 6 comfortably just be mindful of the two rooms in the eaves. Clean and fresh linen and towels were provided. Not forgetting the lovely gesture of a chocolate cake in the fridge as well as a Christmas tree for that festive feel. We couldn't fault our stay, all the basic facilities were available to hand. I must commend the owners on being such avid recyclers they are definitely doing their bit to save our planet. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to visit again if we are headed Bourton Way.
This is a large property that is comfortable for two but can handle 5-6 if needed. There are 5 beds and three bathrooms over two levels. The living space is well appointed and very comfortable. This unit in on the third and fourth stories. The ground level (1) is also a rental for 2 or 3. The next level (2) is for the owners while they are at home. Any of the levels will give you a great view of the Windrush valley for miles. The bonus includes the three alpacas which roam the 5 or so pastures, but usually end up not far from the front (actually the rear) house. This is self catering except for the excellent chocolate cake that is found in the frig. There is a washer/dryer combo, but give yourself plenty of time for a load of clothes. The village is about 1/3 of a mile from the location. We preferred the car to walking as coming back there isi an incline to the property There is no place we would rather stay when we come to Bourton!!!!
