We've visited Elmworthy Lodge several times & have never been dissapointed! Reason why we return every year The lodge is very clean & the garden is very secure for little escape artists. It's on a working farm but very peaceful & the owners dogs are soooo friendly. Views are amazing & everything you need is just a short ride away. Highly reccomend & will definitely be back next year!

If you like the idea of a working farm with fantastic hosts, perfect sunsets and lots of beautiful things to see and do nearby, oh and not to mention outstanding pubs and restaurants within a short drive then this is definitely the place for you. Our group of six included children, parents and grandparents, the highlight for the children being able to assist with feeding the animals and our host’s three friendly dogs. I can particularly recommend bluefin fishing charters in Ilfracombe, a visit to south Molton market and a walk at waters meet, the location really was a great base for exploring north Devon and Exmoor, we thoroughly recommend giving this spot a try.

A fantastic base to visit North Devon. The lodge has everything you need and is immaculately presented with a beautiful safe garden for dogs! The north coast is approximately 45 minutes drive away with fantastic views across the moors. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful leaving traditional devonshire scones and cream on our arrival! Can highly recommend Watersmeet Waterfalls (National Trust) near Lyton and Tor Steps for trips out. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to others.

Our 3rd visit to Elworthy Lodge and yet again it was amazing. The owners bend over backwards to be accommodating without intrusion. The lodge is spacious and equipped with everything you will need. The scenery from the windows is breathtaking. There is plenty to do in and around South Molton. We are all set to book visit number 4

A stunning location, views to die for and a peaceful retreat. Even though it is on a working farm there were no issues with this and all made us welcome. It was easy travel to a host of seaside towns, and even if the weather is bad, just sit and take in that huge skyscape from the lounge - wonderful. We will be back. Thank You.

This was our first stay at the lodge and it will definitely not be our last. The location and views are stunning, and the lodge itself was very well kept, spacious, very clean and secure for our dogs. Can't recommend this lodge highly enough, will hope to return very soon. You won't be disappointed.

Rated by Mrs Kirby reviewed on 12th June 2016

A fantastic lodge in a stunning location. The lodge had plenty of space for all of us and the dogs loved the secure garden. The lodge had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. The farm has spectacular views and it was lovely to see newborn calves in the fields. Days out and about in north Devon were all within a 30 minute drive from the lodge, whether you wanted to go to Exmoor National Park or to the coastal beaches, everything was easily accessible from the location. Couldn't fault Elworthy Lodge in any way and we would definitely go back and recommend to our family and friends.

Rated by Mrs George reviewed on 12th June 2016

Fantastic!!! This was our first stay at Elworthy Lodge but we will most definitely be returning. The lodge is beautiful and well equipped, plenty of space for 4 adults and 3 dogs. Perfect safe enclosed garden for the dogs to run around in without us having to watch them all the time. The farm dogs were lovely and friendly always popping to the gate to say hello and have a fuss. Had some lovely days out, everything is easily accessible within a 30-45 minute drive from the lodge. Just not enough time in a week to see and do everything. We will definitely be back to see more. Couldn't ask for a better base for our holiday.

.we have just got back from yet another fantastic stay at Elworthy. We feel at home here and it is a perfect base for travelling and visiting nearby beaches and places. Elworthy is light, modern and spacious with everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. We just love being here .

This is our second stay at Elworthy Lodge and I'm sure it won't be our last. Both times we have felt really comfortable and at home, the lodge is fully equipped with very comfortable beds. A lovely place to return to after a busy day out. Our 10 year olds love being able to go off and see the animals on the farm and watch the farmers getting on with their jobs. Whilst Wi-Fi available for the older ones! Good central place to stay for visiting local attractions and beaches. Looking forward to seeing Karen and bill again very soon

The 2nd visit my husband, myself and two dogs have made to Elworthy Lodge and again we were not disappointed. This Lodge ticks every single box. Spacious, clean, warm, well equipped, dog friendly, and a little place of Heaven. Cannot fault this place at all and look forward to coming back next October.

Rated by Tazzyfatbum reviewed on 19th February 2016

Everything about the property was good, we had everything we needed and it was situated in a lovely area. It was lovely and snug and one could not believe it was in the middle of the farm and all the animals in their barns for winter. We loved it and plan to return in the future.

Rated by Mrs Byrne reviewed on 23rd November 2015

This was a fantastic place to stay, both the Lodge and the scenery were amazing. The owners were very welcoming, our dogs were as welcome as the rest of us too. Would recommend to everyone.

Rated by Mrs Ross reviewed on 16th November 2015

The cottage was spacious and very comfortable.

Rated by Mrs Hackett reviewed on 1st November 2015

This was our second visit to Elworthy Lodge and we enjoyed another good week. The Lodge has an excellent outlook and although it is situated on a working farm, you hardly notice the noise. The owners are most accommodating and nothing is too much trouble for them. We would definitely recommend Elworthy Lodge if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.

Rated by Mr Hill reviewed on 25th October 2015

The Lodge itself is very spacious, well equipped and beautifully laid out. The location, just outside the town of Bishop's Nympton, is a lovely area with beautiful scenery. The view from the back garden is outstanding. Myself, my husband, our 2 small dogs and my parents all stayed in the Lodge very comfortably. Plenty of room for us all and plenty of wardrobe space, kitchen equipment and towels. The dogs loved having such a spacious garden to run around in and we loved the fact it was secure and we could keep an eye on them through the panoramic windows/doors without having to be outside with them the whole time. The owners were very welcoming and were available by phone at any time should we have needed them. The farm dogs were very friendly and enjoyed a good play/fuss every now and then. The Cream Tea and pint of milk that was left in the fridge to greet us upon our arrival was a very welcomed extra. Would absolutely recommend this Lodge and the area, just be prepared for tight twisty country lanes and lots of large spiders!!!

Excellent accommodation which was nicely situated for travel to many of the Devonshire and Cornwall attractions. This was the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in and the views from the Lodge were stunning.

Rated by Mr Clark reviewed on 13th September 2015

It was fantastic from start to finish!

Rated by Mrs Fairbairn reviewed on 15th July 2015

Everything was brilliant; the Lodge and the owners. The Lodge was an excellent standard and had everything we required to make it a fantastic holiday. I have come home and booked again for the same time next year.

Rated by Mrs Dryden reviewed on 23rd June 2015

The lodge was light, airy and spacious with beautiful views to admire from the comfort of the sofas. The owners were friendly and very welcoming. We found them to be on hand if needed but in no way intrusive on our privacy. The facilities were excellent; everything has been thought of and for those who want, a good WiFi connection which we found smooth and speedy. Elsworthy Farm was the perfect base for exploring the North Devon and Somerset areas and we will definitely return.

Rated by Mrs Harvey reviewed on 7th June 2015

Perfect....no other way to describe it. We stayed at the lodge for Easter, Two teenagers, two 9yr old's and one dog and (4 surrogate dogs from the farm, i would have stolen Bert if i had the chance!!). The lodge was more that we expected, very spacious, very well equipped and very clean. The kids (especially 9yr old's) loved the farm, all the animals, tractor rides and covered in every kind of (muck) you can imagine. Karen and Bill are lovely, very helpful without being intrusive. Truth be known i think two of ours would have moved in if they could. A car is a must in order to get anywhere, but this does not detract from the lodge or surroundings,(WiFi for the teens saved all a little sanity, they even managed fresh air and walking!! OMG). Devon at it's best

We have just got back from a week at Elworthy Lodge and we had a fantastic time. The owners were fantastic hosts and the view from the Lodge is fabulous. The Lodge itself is modern and very clean. There are 2 bathrooms, enough crockery and cutlery, and comfy beds. We will definitely going back and have already recommended the lodge to family.

Rated by Mrs Thomas reviewed on 15th May 2015

We have just returned from a break at Elworthy Lodge. There were 3 of us and our 3 dogs. The lodge is situated across and actual farm yard and has its own secured garden and driveway. Karen soon put mesh across the bottom to stop our tiny dog escaping. The owners have 4 friendly dogs. The lodge is very clean and bright with all mod cons. There are plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. The beds are comfy and there is a tv on the wall in the master bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms and use of a secure dog run with dry kennel. On arrival there was a lovely cream tea in the fridge along with a pint of milk. we will definitely be going there again and have already recommended the lodge to family. Just a note the view of the countryside out of the front of the lodge is fantastic.

Rated by vicky T reviewed on 14th May 2015

The location was perfect and the fact that the owners also catered for our dogs was brilliant. 10 out of 10. I would wholeheartedly recommend this holiday lodge to all responsible pets owners looking for a stress free and enjoyable holiday.

We are so glad we are going back in October for a week. The Lodge was superb, everything was so nice and comfortable. We were only there for a short break and we were sad to leave, can't wait to return. The view is so lovely and the owners were so friendly. Will be recommending Elworthy Lodge to our friends.

Rated by Mr Hill reviewed on 26th March 2015

The cottage is perfectly located for visiting the north coast of Devon and all its wonderful towns and beaches, as well as Exmoor itself. The owners are friendly and helpful. The cottage is on a farm and you are encouraged to look around at the animals; lovely for children. The garden is fully enclosed for both dog and child safety which allows everyone to relax. There was plenty of parking. The lodge is well furnished, very comfortable and the view from the windows in the lounge is a real treat. So quiet it rejuvenates.

Rated by Miss Kaye reviewed on 6th March 2015

A beautiful location with great views, the open plan living area was really lovely and very comfortable. With a bathroom en suite and a family bathroom, we had one each, brilliant.

Rated by Mr Clark reviewed on 1st March 2015

A lovely property with everything you need and a fantastic view. We've already booked again for next year. The owners are two of the nicest people we've ever met, greeting us when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. The property is on a working farm and we were allowed access to the lambs and calves. We would rate this property 10/10.

Rated by Mr Marrington reviewed on 22nd February 2015

The most well thought out accommodation for those with dogs. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Beautiful beaches, dog walks and scenery all around. The lodge is immaculate and well equipped for all needs. We actually rebooked it whilst we were there. I cannot rate this any higher

Rated by Tazzyfatbum reviewed on 22nd February 2015

A really lovely cottage in the middle of a truly stunning view. The lounge in particular is cosy and contemporary, with doors and plenty of windows looking out to the garden and views of the countryside beyond. The cottage was warm and clean and had everything we needed in it. We received a warm welcome and were made to feel we could ask for anything we needed.

Rated by Miss Stone reviewed on 20th February 2015

Lovely lodge, clean, good size, private. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. On a working farm so great to see the animals. You definitely need a car to get around unless you really enjoy walking.

Rated by TraceyT1149 reviewed on 24th January 2015

There is always the question, will the property be as good as the pictures? I can confirm it is better than the pictures. The set up of the property was excellent for the two of us and two dogs. There is more than enough room for 6 people, but for ourselves and the dogs, it was ideal. The property has an enclosed garden, a kennel area where the dogs can dry out and chill in their kennel if you want a day out. The attention to detail is excellent, no fault could be found. We were so impressed, we have booked again for next year and hopefully enjoy the patio space which looks out to an amazing view. Karen and Bill make excellent hosts and are available to assist or answer any questions you may have, and the complimentary scones on arrival were much appreciated. Good central spot to a beautiful location. I have already suggested this to friends and family.

Quiet, private. The owners were good hosts. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and spacious.

Rated by Mrs Rolfe reviewed on 18th November 2014

Owners are friendly but not intrusive. A perfect choice for a chill out break.

Rated by Mr Foy reviewed on 14th November 2014

A big thank you to Karen and Bill for a really relaxing and comfortable week. This Lodge is one of the best we have stayed in over many years, it is immaculate, well equipped and unbelievably spacious. Although only myself and wife stayed it would not be overcrowded with 6 adults. After a warm welcome on the Saturday they remained unintrusive but available should we have required anything. No detail has been overlooked in the lodge and it was a pleasure to stay here and visit areas of north Devon we have previously overlooked. I highly recommend this property for both couples and families[ Kids would love the farm animals and also the adventure of staying on a working farm]. By the way Karen , thanks for the Devon Cream Tea waiting for us in the fridge, a very nice touch.

Rated by Harry M reviewed on 8th November 2014

The view from the lodge was beautiful. Although it is on a working farm it was idyllic and quiet and the hosts were lovely. Fantastic holiday.

Rated by Mrs Harding reviewed on 5th October 2014

Great views and also very friendly owners. It was really great being on a working farm, my young daughter loved going around the cows and also seeing the tractors.

Rated by Mr Nash reviewed on 7th September 2014

The view from the lounge windows was beautiful.

Rated by Mr Bonas reviewed on 22nd July 2014

Situated on a working farm, which was very quiet and peaceful, this stunning accommodation offered equally stunning views from the lounge & garden. Furnished & fitted out to the highest standard we wanted for nothing. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and so were their 2 dogs. The surrounding countryside was a joy to walk through with our 2 dogs, and a half hour car journey took you to the breathtaking beach at Woolacombe, nearly all of which is dog friendly. South Molton is a 5 minute car journey away which offered supermarket, shops, pubs & restaurants and anything else you might want. Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing holiday in superb surroundings. Overall a 10/10 holiday for us and our 2 woofties. We will be back next year. Thank you Bill & Karen for a fantastic week.

Rated by Mr Wright reviewed on 13th July 2014

Beautiful location. Fabulous property (top specifications). Lots to see and do in that area. Intended to go to the beach when we were there but didn't actually need to. Beautiful crystal clear rivers on Exmoor that you could paddle in or for the more adventurous, swim in.

Rated by Mrs Jellings reviewed on 6th July 2014

The Lodge is a recent build so everything is new and works! The Lodge is situated on a working farm in a quite peaceful location, but is still within easy reach of the road network. We found the location ideal for visiting North Devon and Exmoor. The Lodge is great for dog owners having an enclosed garden and even a kennel run. The owners are very friendly and made sure we were settled in, they have the softest dog we have ever met!

Rated by Petebarrow reviewed on 26th June 2014

The holiday was very relaxing with wonderful views. The cottage was clean with all mod cons. We couldn't have asked for more, we will be going back so that says it all I think.

An excellent Lodge with a stunning open plan lounge, kitchen & diner. There is a beautiful view from the lounge which the pictures do not do justice to. Very friendly owners who are happy to help with anything & provided a cream tea for us. A great spot for seeing all North Devon has to offer.
