Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Only been here 1 night out of 3 so far and already feel relaxed and comfortable. Exactly what I needed after a year of hard work and no time off. Some lovely homemade welsh cakes and bottle of wine left for us which was a lovely appreciated surprise. Best night sleep ive had in a long time. Really comfortable bed and the beautiful sound of the stream outside. Will certainly enjoy the rest of the stay here and will definitely come here again. Due to restrictions on travel I had to holiday within Wales and definitely chose the right place. Beautiful. Only criticism I have is the parking is slightly awkward with the position of the gate but that maybe because I was in a transit van
Had a brilliant 5 nights in the cabin in December and it was perfect! Stunning waterfalls outside and countryside/mountains on your doorstep and a lovely cosy cabin to come back to at the end of the day! Owner very approachable and friendly. Overall had a fantastic stay and will definitely come again!! ⛰
Fantastic views, very comfortable in the cabin home from home ,far enough away from the hustle and bustle, peace and quiet, looking forward to my week again in March. I would recommend it too all, fantastic walking in the mountains I loved it. Main shopping and the sea only ten minutes away Conwy. Family very friendly and helpful. If you enjoy the great outdoors as I do I would recommend it.
I have stayed at the cabin 3 times when visiting the UK from Australia. I stayed last time with my fiancé and we loved it. So peaceful and beautiful, the amenities are great, everything you need. There is a small hill to get to the lodge but nothing too taxing. The town of Conwy is around a 10/15 minute drive through the country lanes and it’s a typical country town.... this is somewhere you holiday if you’re looking to get away from it all and enjoy all that nature and the beautiful Snowdonia National Park has to offer. We were surprised though at how many different action activities are close by. I have been at different times in the year and it always delivers. Love the friendliness and care taken by the hosts as well, for the people looking for a peaceful getaway at a very reasonable price I highly recommend it.
We have just returned home from a week at the lodge, we came home a day early. It was booked for my husband and I with out daughter and son in law. Lodge is NOT made for 4 adults as the second bedroom beds are not comfortable at all!!! All the amenities are there and the lodge was very clean. The solar panels start at 7:30 am which was noisy so woke us all up! The decking area could be done up nicer as due to the area being surrounded by large over grown trees it attracts a large amount of flies and midges which isn’t ideal. This also cuts out a lot of the sunlight which is a shame. The lodge itself is very remote which isn’t advertised well in the details. Anyone who is older or has young children should do some research before booking here as the small parking area is a short walk from the lodge, you’ve to pass a bridge over a stream and a little path to get to the lodge which would be problematic for anyone with mobility issues! The single track road which leads to the lodge is very narrow and winding and isn’t ideal when you meet a tractor or other large vehicle and have to reverse back down such a narrow track! The lack of comfort in the beds and the amount of midges was the main reason we all came home early as when it’s warm we didn’t feel able to sit with the windows open due to the flies and midges and couldn’t eat outside due to this either. A real shame as we were so looking forward to this break for the week but won’t be going back again.
The location is remote enough to escape from the hustle and bustle of life but a great location to get to Anglesey and Snowdonia, with walks easily accessible from the cabin. The cabin has a great layout with plenty of space for cooking, eating and chilling. I stayed here during Feb and is was defo warm enough with our host making sure that we had everything we needed when it snowed! I made some great memories here with my boyfriend and would suggest anyone (of any age) to come here and make there own.
Beautiful countryside, secluded area and gorgeous stream running down the side of the property. Secure decked area for dogs, private garden and plenty of fresh air!
A real get away place, up a narrow quiet country lane surrounded by mountains. The cabin was very comfortable with a good shower and a sofa that you can really sink in to. The owner was friendly and there was everything that you need. The sound of running water from the stream is all you can hear.
Very nice place, we would love to go back.
It is a great destination; very quiet and relaxing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in Y Caban and the owners had provided everything we required and were there to welcome us. The chalet itself is quite isolated and so peaceful with a stream around three sides. The only bugbear was the narrow winding lanes in the area - we got used to these. The area is very interesting, lots to see and do without travelling too far.. we recommend Penrhyn beach as a must visit, Obviously you have to take the cable car up Snowdon into the clouds wow! We didn't tend to eat out much apart from coffee and/or hot chocolate but did find a bakery in Conwyn main street who do huge crunchy jam do'nuts yummy, do try them. We went to lots of National Trust Gardens, Bodnant aren't very dog friendly, shame, but so impressed with Plas Newydd House (house closed that day) & Gardens where there is a long lovely woodland walk for the dog, and the gardens were beautiful & well managed, we thoroughly recommend this as a visit, and also Swallow Falls no admission fee- wonderful! (not National Trust) & you'll have to Google it for exact situation.
The whole holiday was fantastic; from the property to the place. There were lots of things to do and see and places to go, would definitely recommend it to people.
Good morning, my husband and I plus two aging dogs enjoyed our stay at The Cabin very much. It is a real chill out place yet within easy reach of places to visit and enjoy the views. Facilities ideal for our needs. The owners were on hand but did not appear intrusive in any way. Hope to revisit.
