This wonderful little cottage is tucked away from the main street in the historical village of Eyam in the Peak District National Park. Enjoy a romantic break at this lovely cottage, which is ideally located for exploring this delightful part of the country. Entry is into a small hallway, with room for your coats and boots, very useful after a day of exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, to the left is the lovely sitting room, with parquet floor, comfortable seating and the warming woodburning stove to enjoy and ensure your evenings are extra cosy. An archway leads into the light and airy dining kitchen with vaulted ceiling. The kitchen is beautifully designed and is very well equipped, including dining table and chairs. Upstairs leads to the romance of the double bedroom, with beams and vaulted ceiling and an en-suite, complete with shower and short bath for that indulgent bubble bath after a day of walking. Outside, at the front, is a sunny patio with furniture, where you can enjoy some peace and quiet, a cup of tea and plan the day ahead! A short stroll from this pretty little cottage you will find the village shops and pub, along with the village's historic church, Eyam Museum and Eyam Hall, make sure you take the time to look at the plague cottages which really bring history alive. This cottage is in a wonderful location for exploring the whole of the Peak District, the picturesque market town of Bakewell is just five miles away, offering a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst good walking is available in the Peak District National Park. With Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall also within easy reach. This is an ideal Peak District cottage for a romantic escape, all through the year.

Historically the village is known as the famous 'plague village', as it went into voluntary quarantine when the plague was imported from London in 1665 and thus prevented the spread of the disease. There are many fine old houses in Eyam, and parts of the village have been kept as they looked several centuries ago, such as Eyam Hall, a beautiful 17th century manor house with delightful gardens, craft shops and tea rooms.
