Wow what a lovely cosy cottage Nora nook was the perfect weekend break so relaxing, lots of pubs local and places to visit we loved it that much we booked already for next year before we left can’t wait to go back would definitely recommend

If you want to get away from the mad world, this is the place. Ideally situated on the edge of the moors, you can literally do as little or as much as you want to. The cottage is very well equipped and there are always a few extra treats waiting for you, just to make sure you feel at home and making the perfect start to your time away. This is our fourth time here and back again in July. Another reason we keep coming back is how animal friendly the cottage is, we either come with our dogs or my horse. The paddocks and stables are second to none too. Thanks again and see you soon

I came here last year with my horse, it was that good I couldn't wait to stay again with my husband and dogs. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. I can't recommend this place enough, fantastic cottages but more importantly we were made to feel welcome and you cant put a price on that. My husband absolutely loved our break and I am already booked in again in May with my horse. Thank you so much

Norah's Nook is in a fantastic setting, on a small working farm. Extremely tranquil, the perfect place to relax and enjoy Yorkshire. The owners was lovely and their welcoming attitude was great. We will definitely be returning.

Norah's Nook is a very relaxing, quiet and comfortable cottage in the countryside it is a great place to not be disturbed. Plenty of good pubs and meals within a few miles by car. Couldn't do with anything else. Based on a small 'farm' but no noisy animals with a friendly and helpful owner on site.

We have just returned after a fabulous week here . This is probably our 6th or 7th visit and it suits us perfectly. Dave and Serita are great hosts who just carry on in the background but are always on hand to recommend a Pub for lunch or to find out what's on in the vicinity. Can't recommend this place enough.

We particularly liked the peace and quiet at Norah's Nook, its location to the moors and the distance to other places of interest.

Norah's Nook is very attractive and is in a really pretty peaceful location. It has absolutely everything you need for a happy holiday, the owner has given a lot of thought into making sure you enjoy your stay, they obviously care a lot!. The weather was very cold so it was nice to have a log fire and the heating on in the evening, we were lovely and cosy! It must be lovely in warm weather to sunbathe in the courtyard, we will be back to try it for ourselves.

The weather was dreadful but the cottage was so cosy and comfortable that it didn't matter. We lacked nothing and would definitely recommend the cottage. We would love to visit again in better weather!

We chose this cottage because it was recommended by friends. We were not disappointed! The drive to Norah's Nook takes you through classic Yorkshire countryside. The cottage is well appointed , clean and warm ( provided by the wood burner in the corner) and is located on a working farm which adds to the feeling of getting away from it all ! A perfect location for walking and really looking forward to coming back. Well worth a visit.

The property is very well done out with high quality modern décor and has everything you need. The owners were extremely helpful and recommended walks and pubs to visit. Whilst in a rural area, it is only a couple of minutes from several villages, and has easy access to the main roads running to Scarborough/Thirsk. Also easy access to roads within the moors. Doggy friendly too!

The cottage has everything, there was more cutlery in the kitchen than we had at are own home! Had fantastic views and the fire was brilliant. Would definitely recommend to anyone, it was very relaxing. Gorgeous.

Rated by Mr Thompson reviewed on 15th August 2014

My husband and I stayed here with our little dog in August and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the owner on arrival, and found a welcome pack indoors, which included a local paper, milk and other essentials. The owner was very welcoming, told us everything we needed to know about the cottage and helped us with our suggested holiday itinerary - good places to eat, walks across the moors from our doorstep and other handy hints. The cottage is pretty outside, well decorated, very comfortable and clean, and the weather enabled us to make use of the two very comfy sun loungers on the patio outside! The cottage is well located for eating and drinking pubs with lots of pretty villages and towns nearby, such as Helmsley and Hutton le Hole. We really enjoyed our holiday and will definitely be back, thank you for sharing this little piece of paradise.
