Outside, the patio has furniture and beautiful countryside views, and there is ample off road parking. Stable Cottage is a wonderful family base for exploring the Isle of Wight, all year round.

Location Details
The rural hamlet of Gatcombe is central to the Isle of Wight. Perfect for exploring the island, it offers wonderful bridleways for horse riding, mountain biking and walking; from light strolls across glorious countryside or tougher challenges along the downs. A selection of shops, restaurants, pubs to suit all tastes can be found four miles away in Newport.

Stable Cottage is at the end of a quiet lane surrounded by lovely countryside. There are many walks from the door. We found the cottage very warm and cosy with plenty of hot water and comfortable seating and beds. It was very clean and the owner is onsite if there are any problems (there weren't). We would love to stay again but are planning to get a dog soon and this property does not accept pets.
The accommodation was superb and it was centrally located to travel around the whole island.
Lovely location, with an extremely friendly reception from owner, who made us feel at home immediately. Very comfortable accommodation and in the perfect position for travelling to all parts of the Isle of Wight.
It was well equipped and comfortable. A perfect base to explore the whole island.
Fantastic cottage and location, spotted the elusive red squirrel. The owner was very helpful and there were lovely beaches. Enjoyed the numerous attractions the area had to offer.
We enjoyed our holiday at Stable cottage, its was very peaceful and restful. Everything was very clean and had everything available that we needed.
