Reviews

First I must say that the owner Nick us one if the nicest people I've spoken to on the phone.Thank you. Elizabeth House is an amazing home which is comfortable and close to amenities. Not far from Hornsea Beach which is beautiful. We popped into Stackhouse pub a short walk away which is relaxed with a selection of drinks.Five Bite takeaway is the best pizza I've had and the teenagers loved the gourmet burger. Swiss Cottage is good to eat at with generous portions all home cooked but YOU MUST BOOK.Lovely place. Harper's chip shop where you can eat in or takeaway is quality. The home was warm, cosy ,exceptionally clean and well loved and looked after. We were all relaxed and home from home. Only thing is leaving. We didn't want to leave.

Elizabeth House is a perfectly placed holiday home , in a village with a few minutes walk through a park to the beach ( both dog friendly ) . The house has four comfortable bedrooms, all spotlessly clean , and a large kitchen with everything you could possibly need . There were fresh flowers on the table and milk , tea, coffee and biscuits , two TVs , dvds , games ..... and great local pubs and takeaways . The owner ( Nick ) was available via mobile but everything was in order and we will definitely be looking to visit again .

This was our first holiday booking of this style previously we had only stayed in hotels. The cottage appealed as soon as we opened the front door. It was clean, had a fresh smell to it and was tastefully decorated. The owners have skilfully retained the character and age of the property whilst incorporating modern features. All rooms had the essentials needed and the property layout whilst very functional had the air associated with older properties. The location being on a main road into Hornsea may give rise to apprehension but despite not being double glazed we found that the slight distance from the road kept noise levels down sufficiently that we were untroubled. Surprisingly we also had very little noise transfer from adjacent properties. Close by was Hornsea Mere and a childrens play area. 3 pubs within 200 yards meant that food, drink and a varied entertainment theme was "on the doorstep" but we found the pubs were only lightly patronised and didn't create and form of disturbance. The village started on the doorstep and continued for about half a mile down a single main street. The beach is quite a step away being at the far end of the village which is where a lovely little sports centre is with good indoor swimming facilities. Having enjoyed this style of accommodation we will be trying other cottages. We would have no hesitation in returning to Elizabeth House and will try to return later in the year with relatives.

Elizabeth House is a great place to stay, the house was bigger than we expected and very clean, comfortable and cosy. A real home from home. The owner had thought of everything, would go again. The house is situated in a great spot with everything on the doorstep; food, drink and the beach which was clean. A beautiful place to stay, thank you.

The property was spotless and a real home from home that was equipped with everything we needed for our week. Directions and information prior to our trip was perfect from the owner and he made us feel welcome even before we got there. The garden was secure for our dog and the neighbours friendly. We would definitely return.

A lovely property which was well maintained and clean. The location is great for anyone with a dog, being only 2 minutes walk from Hall Garth Park. A very well laid out property well suited for large families who have a dog.

I really liked the location and the fact that the owners had decorated it for Christmas.

A good sized house with plenty of room for sitting around without being on top of each other. Very welcoming and cosy feel, everything was thought of to make you welcome and feel at home. Enclosed rear garden was a bonus with having the dog with us.
