Reviews

We chose this accommodation for its great location. It didn't disappoint. It's at the 'top' of the village, close to the car park and the Bronte Personage. It's a lovely flat. Nice and clean. Bed was comfy. Great place to stay in Haworth. NB you must be able-bodied as the flat is up steep stairs and access is not the easiest. Haworth itself is one huge steep hill though so the stairs were not the hardest part of the stay!

Booked as was visiting Bronte Summer Festival. In great location. Flat is kitted out well and the bed was extremely comfy. Would definitely use again

This is our second stay in this cottage and we loved it just as much as the first time. It's in the heart of the old village, seconds from the parsonage and Main Street, yet quiet and peaceful. We appreciated the welcome basket and the amazingly comfortable super king sized bed. The owners couldn't have been kinder and were a pleasure to deal with.

Church view is a lovely, cosy flat with a very comfortable bed and homely feel. Lovely and warm on arrival with a welcome basket including wine and biscuits. The location is great, right on the high street next to the church and parsonage. Lots of lovely little local shops on the street and the locals are very friendly and happy to give tips on where to go and see in the area. We loved the parsonage and went back a couple of times. Local walks are great and you can walk from the village to Top Withins and other local attractions. We met who we believed to be the owners on leaving and they were very friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay if you are reading! Jonathan and Sarah DB

I stayed at Church View for a week and it was a lovely, clean and comfortable apartment. Brian and Margaret provided me with a wealth of info about the property and the surrounding area prior to my stay, so it was all very easy to get to and stay in the property. The welcome basket provided was a lovely touch! Church View is literally a stone's throw from the Bronte Parsonage and the start of the walk to Bronte Falls and Top Withens, so it's ideally located for any Bronte fans. The main street is just around the corner, so you're close by to all the local shops, cafes and restaurants. Local transport links are also close by, so it's very easy to get around (I visited Hebden Bridge, which is only a 30 minute bus ride away through beautiful Moorland). It's also near the train station, so you can hop on the steam train to surrounding villages and the main town of Keighley. The property itself was faultlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable, I slept like a dream! For a solo traveller I also felt very safe in the property, which I feel is very important. I was very sad to leave Haworth and Yorkshire, but next time I'll come back to Chruch View!

We had a great holiday here and the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Given the property is at the top of the village, it is very quiet, but very close to everything. We would recommend the property without question.

We loved the homely feel of Church View......felt very safe and had a really relaxed time there.

A beautiful apartment above the sweet shop with lovely décor and some lovely details. Lots of information was left about the area and the details given to enter the apartment were perfect. There was plenty of information so we could make the most out of the time we spent there. Everything was spotless and the king sized bed was a special treat. At first I thought the proximity to the pubs might be an issue but I can't say that we had anything but perfect sleep. It was right in the middle of historic Haworth with ease of parking, the location couldn't be better.

The location of the apartment was superb, everything we wanted was in easy walking distance. The apartment itself was beautiful and cosy. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The big bed was so comfortable with its fresh crisp sheets, and the towels where soft and fluffy. I loved the fact we were so close to the Bronte Parsonage and we could walk to Haworth railway station where we took a ride on the steam train to Keighley. I absolutely loved everything about it and will definitely be back.

It was in a perfect location with everything you could possibly need right on the doorstep. The property was very homely too.

The apartment was in keeping with the culture and history of the village, it was tastefully decorated and the owners were very helpful. There were many things to do in and around the village. There were so many we need to visit again as we didn't get chance to do all we wanted!

Spent a wonderful week here. It was extremely clean and well cared for to a very high standard and covered all our needs for the week. A special touch was the welcome basket which contained most of our necessities before needing to shop. The apartment is very central to the village yet also very quiet; everything is within walking distance except for the local food shop but that is easily accessible by car. Parking was no problem that too was within easy walking distance of the apartment. Have no problem recommending this to any one wishing to visit the beautiful part of England.

The cottage was in a perfect location. It was very comfortable with everything we needed. Lots of little touches made it very special.

The flat itself is lovely. Roomy and bright and the potted history of the building provided by the owner added to the interest. Absolutely everything you require is provided and the location provided a wonderful view of the main street with its many comings and goings. The location of this super flat in the centre of Haworth was ideal for seeing both the wonderful countryside surrounding the village and for the many restaurants/pubs in the pretty village itself. The Parsonage where the Brontes grew up is a must. Also many lovely walks to take without having to jump in the car. Particularly enjoyed the 'Railway Children Walk' and discovering the locations used in the 1970 film and the walk to Top Withens - allegedly Wuthering Heights. Many wonderful places to visit in the locality by both car and public transport. Information provided about the village was most helpful and the welcome basket which contained tea, coffee, chocolates and a wonderful bottle of wine was a lovely surprise and a wonderful touch! Would very highly recommend.

This property is a credit to the owners hard work and thoughtful preparation. It was a pleasure to stay in this wonderful well situated property. If I do return to Howarth, I would certainly try to book this property first. Also the owners were very friendly and accommodating in every way.

Great location in a lovely village. Views from the windows were lovely. Bedroom was very cosy and comfortable, enormous bed was great. Living area contained everything you needed for a weekend away, and lots of cafes/pubs nearby for meals. Welcome pack was really thoughtful, one of the nicest we've had. Would definitely recommend

The apartment was ideally situated on the top of Main Street within a short walk of the Church and Parsonage. It was surrounded by public houses, cafes, places of interest and on top of a sweet shop - what was there not to like. The shopkeepers and locals were extremely friendly and the owners were easily available if any queries arose. The bed was a delight and the overall combination of apartment and situation was ideal for whatever you required, perfect for that romantic short break.

"This lovely apartment was clean, cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. It is situated in a central location in the lovely village of Haworth which has plenty of amenities and there were also lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. The owner was only a phone call away if we needed anything and overall we found the holiday really enjoyable."

One of the best self catering apartments we have stayed in the location, the walks, the dining and the history. The apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed for a perfect break

The apartment was very cosy and comfortable and the furnishings were lovely. It was great to be able to walk out the door to the shops and pubs on the High Street and also to some lovely walks.

We spent 3 nights in September at Church View in Haworth. It was a last minute booking (booked on the morning of the first night) and the owner quickly accommodated the booking, even providing welcome wine, milk, chocolate and jams which were greatly appreciated. The property had no reviews at the time of our booking as we were the first to stay there, it having recently been renovated to a very high standard. The accommodation was the perfect size for a couple. The open plan layout to the kitchen and lounge works well, with a view on to the main street and the bed is huge and very comfortable. The location is excellent - at the top of the main street, above a lovely sweet shop and very close to the Bronte parsonage. We used the parsonage car park (£4 per day) so the lack of parking at the property was not an issue. It was a lovely short break. I would definitely recommend both Church View and Haworth to friends and family.
