What a fantastic find, such a lovely apartment for two in a perfect location for exploring the local area. Everything there you would need other than your toiletries. We cooked in and ate out some nights as there were some nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance. We went to see the sights as all were in a radius of 25 miles so back in time for evening drinks. We had a very warm welcome from Jackie and also a welcome bottle of wine and choccies. We were from Cardiff so to travel all the way we were well satisfied with what we had rented. Would definitely stay again.
We were met by the owner, Jackie, who showed us around and explained everything to us. The apartment was very warm and comfortable and relaxing. Jackie kindly left a very nice welcome pack. It is an ideal base for visiting all that Durham and North Yorkshire has to offer, being ideally placed close to Barnard Castle and Durham, as well as Richmond. Although we were told of the parking problems that we may encounter in the private lane, we never had any problem in finding a spot on our return from each excursion.
Just had a great week in this comfortable, clean, cosy apartment. Jackie met us when we arrived as planned and had left a nice welcome pack for us which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this apartment to any couples who want a cosy break in Wolsingham.
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at The Old Queens Head and I have to say what a lovely place to stay. The apartment is tastefully decorated and very well equipped with all you need. The king sized bed and furnishings are very comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Jackie provided a much appreciated welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Wolsingham is a very friendly village and we would highly recommend a stay here at The Old Queens Head.
