The cottage is a wonderful little cosy place to stay if you want to find some peace and enjoy the wonderful scenary, the view from every window is beautiful. Super clean, nicley decorated and every thing is provided including lots of information on local walks, pubs, and a bottle of wine and biscuits is a lovely extra. The cooking pans could do with replacing and the addition of some cooking oil would be great as the kitchen had everything else you could need but we loved our stay and would highly recommend!
Location was good for exploring the Peak District. Village Co-op very useful as it's open until 10pm seven days a week! Best all round local pub for food was The Anchor near Tideswell (3 miles from cottage). Cottage location is very quiet - just the sound of birds and the occasional vehicle.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Field View. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped, and we felt quite at home. We loved the view over Bradwell to the hills beyond. We did not know the area and felt we had made a great choice of accommodation and location. We would definitely return to this cottage and village. We were very impressed with the whole area.
The cottage was absolutely perfect - the view, the comfort and the village. We used the cottage as a base and went walking across the Peaks. The location is ideally central so we could easily access both Edale and Monsdale within a few miles. The owner was very helpful with keys and recommendations for eating. We are already talking about going back!
Thank you for great holiday. It was a thoroughly well equipped & comfortable cottage!
It was a perfect weekend in a nice house for us. We stay there in January with our daughter, she studies in Sheffield. The house was well heated and very cosy. The fitting of the kitchen was good, everything for cooking was there. Everything in the house was clean. The best thing was the fireplace in the living room!
A lovely cottage in a lovely village. Well furnished throughout and a great place to explore from. We will return.
We are just back from a three day break in this lovely cottage. The pictures do not do it justice as it is far more cosy than envisaged; a real little hideaway. We would definitely go back again.
Had a great time. Nice cottage in lovely village, would recommend.
Excellent cottage in an ideal place to explore the Peak District. The cottage had absolutely everything we could have needed. The owners waited for us to arrive to ensure we found it okay. We were all very happy with my choice and I would recommend this cottage to anybody.
The cottage had great facilities and was very well situated with many walks and places to visit in the nearby area. The utility room was extremely useful and the furniture in the lounge was incredibly comfortable.
The cottage was set in a perfectly idyllic village and was a fantastic base providing easy reach to local caverns and other attractions. Highly recommended.
A warm, welcoming cottage in an elevated position above the village, with views from the garden.
We liked the cosy comfortable cottage. Had lovely décor and good quality furniture and fittings as well as a lovely outdoor space with wonderful views. We hope to return for another holiday.
It was a very cosy cottage, the views from the cottage were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The cottage was amazing, with brilliant views. It was in a good location, as we was training for a triathlon. We had some lovely rides through amazing scenery. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed.
The views from everywhere in the cottage were magnificent!
The cottage was warm, clean and so inviting. We didn't want for anything and the views just finished it off for a great few days break.
The cottage was perfect in every way. As soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed and 'at home'. A perfect start to a perfect weekend.
A lovely cottage with everything that we needed. Really cosy and comfortable - we look forward to returning!
We stayed here over a weekend in October, greeted with a bottle of Pinot which got me on side straight away! Everything was spotless and seemed new- carpets still squishy! Very comfortable and had everything that you might need; from OS maps of area to a selection of DVDs. Gas fire in living room made it feel very homely. WiFi good throughout cottage. Lovely views from front of house over village with green hills behind- made washing up most enjoyable. Bathroom clean with good size bath and LOVELY hand soap! Village had everything we needed, Coop within walking distance. We tried the two closest pubs which were fine but nothing special, to be honest if (or when!) we stay here again would stay just stay cosied in or perhaps drive further afield. It was a good central location to drive to other places in the Peaks. A lovely cottage and lovely stay, thank you!! Ps - for next time an oven glove was the only thing missing :-)
Field View was well kept and furnished. It was warm and cosy when we arrived. Lovely views of surrounding countryside.
