First time for our family at The Old Piggery but it won’t be the last. Great place to relax and chill out. We loved the setting, privacy, underfloor heating, accommodation and of course the hot tub. Even our elderly dog was comfy. The daily visit from the geese also kept us amused! Thanks to Jo and Stuart we’ll be back :)

We booked the old piggery for 4 nights. The owners are lovely and the accommodation was great very spacious and all you needed for a chilled break, our daughter made a couple of friends (donkeys). The hottub was a fantastic bonus to relax in after a busy day, Jo and Stuart very very good hosts nothing was any trouble, another good feature was underfloor heating and ensuite bedrooms. We will definitely return here 10/10

A truly memorable weekend spent celebrating my 21st birthday in this lovely Yorkshire cabin surrounded by beautiful scenery. Such a shame to now be back home to reality and no longer sipping prosecco in the hot tub overlooking the moors :( The location is perfect, it's lovely and quiet however the town of Haworth is only a short drive away and on the Sunday we enjoyed a scenic 6k walk to the Bronte Waterfall before having a spot of lunch at a historic pub in the town. We will be recommending to everyone to visit again!

Stayed here from Thursday to Sunday. had such a great weekend away. got showed around by Stu and Jo's neighbour as they were away ( everyone deserves a break ) the lodge was very clean, more space than i thought - bedrooms including en suite were great. other room with bunk beds, which my niece loved - loved having a room to herself and staying on the top bunk! living space and kitchen all open plan, and under floor heating which was amazing. tip - if you are hot - open windows, don't turn the heating down. great touch was having some tea, coffee and biscuits for us - even a bottle of bubbles waiting, lovely touch!! :) lovely patio with the hot tub on, nice piece of land to possibly have bbq in summer, space for dog if you have one - hot tub used everyday, why not eh? after a day walking around, cant beat sitting looking at the stars with a nice drink Jo asked if my niece wanted to feed the animals ( donkeys, alpacas, geese, chickens, pigs ) on Sat evening and Sunday morning - which she, and i, loved, very nice of them to ask. great to see the hard work they put into the farm. very well maintained, great surroundings, great views - all in all - a fantastic weekend get away, would def recommend this place. well tucked away from the roads and shops, but close enough to get there by car, 5-10mins. get yourself to the Old Piggery and enjoy this gem thanks again Stu and Jo

We stayed a week here at the end of July and it was amazing. Jo and Stuart were very welcoming and friendly (thank you for the eggs they were delicious). The location is excellent being tucked way on the hill but only a couple of moments from the town and shops and restaurants etc. The cottage was absolutely great with everything we could need. It is obviously well looked after and loved and it showed. My daughter loved all the animals, especially Lucy the friendliest cat ever. We all enjoyed an evening dip in the hot tub which was very relaxing after a day of walking. There is plenty to do nearby, Haworth is 4 miles away and the Dales are just a short journey. We would definitely book again

The cottage was very comfortable, one of the best we've stopped in, with great views for sunsets. There are some lovely walks around this area. Great wildlife to photograph.

We had a lovely time the The Old Piggery, the hot tub was lovely and the views were fantastic. We had a tour of the farm and the kids loved all the animals.

Such a wonderful place to stay. The owners were very warm and welcoming. We were in awe of how large a living area there was, with comfortable seats and it was well decorated. The underfloor heating was wonderful and I will miss that so much. The Piggery is decorated and furnished to a high standard and is kept very clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and both myself and partner will be back in October, for a week this time.

I came to the Old Piggery with my partner and 2 friends. We stayed 2 nights, just to get away from everything and have good food, a few drinks and just relax away from everything. We were not dissappointed and we got so much more than we were expecting. We recieved a warm and friendly welcome from Jo who shwed us around the place and made us feel very welcome. Even a the late time we arrived. Stuart was great in giving us directions and was very friendly and welcoming too. We were very touched by the thoughtfulness as they had provided milk, biscuits, coffee, tea and a bottle of fizz for the hot tube. Ment a alot and was very unexpected. The kitchen is well stocked for utensils, plates and glasses. The large seating area with very comforatble leather couches were great for our DVD night. Was lovely to sit at the large dining table and play our board games. Then at the end of the night get into a clean and very comfortable and bed. Im a very tidy and clean person so I do have to comment on how nice the bedding smelt........ should have asked what washing powder they use. :-) The whole place is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and add to that the underfloor heating and this and so much more make for a wonderful and relaxing place to be which is very much a home from home enviroment. Upon writing this we have been back about 1 hrs and already have just booked again for a week this time in October. Maybe this time I'll use the hot tub, which my friends say was one of the highlights of their stay and I can help feed the many animals they have there too.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Piggery over New Year. The owners were friendly and helpful. Spending New Years Eve in the hot tub with a glass of something fizzy was a great way to begin the year. The children loved the animals, and the surrounding towns had plenty to see and do. Would love to go back again sometime.

Very homely with an excellent living area and hot tub. The stunning views make this a desirable destination, it is very close to Haworth, with lovely people who were more than helpful. Would definitely go again.

Had a fantastic stay, highly recommended. The accommodation was super, the facilities were super and the hot tub was fab. We really really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were lovely. Our dog was welcomed, he had a paddock to run around in and the cottage patio area was gated and secure. The hot tub was wonderful and the accommodation was beautifully presented. Overall 5 stars, we would definitely stay again. A lovely private and very safe getaway. Loved it, thank you.

This holiday let is absolutely perfect for a retreat away from the every day busy hustle and bustle of life. The property itself is of exceptional quality, the hot tub fantastic. The views are amazing, really friendly owners. It is Close enough to shops however it is just out of the way so you don't feel like you are too close. We Cannot fault anything with this place and really want to come back soon! Thank you for such a fantastic holiday.

The Old Piggery was in a nice environment with great views. Altogether we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the novel addition of the hot tub!

Our stay was lovely. The accommodation is the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Very well appointed. Some lovely touches too namely fresh flowers and Cava, tea, coffee and milk. Our hosts were great. Very friendly and helpful. Nice to see the animals. nice paddock off the patio for the dogs to enjoy. The hot tub is a bonus. A car is essential as it's a steep climb from the town centre and we didn't attempt this. Good location for getting out and about. Would definitely stay again if we visited the area.

We wanted a place with plenty of bathrooms so that we could all have privacy. This cottage has three beds and three baths so it ticked the first box. The hot tub was an extra we hadn't even thought of but it really made the holiday. Four pals sitting in the tub every evening, looking out over the countryside and putting the world to rights. Stuart and Jo are the very best of hosts, offering a friendly welcome, fresh eggs and the chance to meet their incredible collection of animals. The cottage is beautifully equipped and very comfortable. Out on the decking at the front of the cottage it feels like you are entirely alone - except for the peacocks of course. Dog friendly and with a paddock at the back for them to run in. Really good - highly recommended. P.S. Don't panic when you see the lane going down to the farm. We thought we were lost but we weren't.

Firstly - don't be put off by the access road. It is not tarmacced and Very bumpy. The Old Piggery is a well appointed barn conversion, furnished with quality furniture and decorated to a high standard. I traveled with 3 friends and we all enjoyed the comfort and luxury of our holiday home. The hot tub on the deck was our favourite. Each night we sat out there watching the sun set over the hills. We had 2 dogs with us and we had exclusive access to a field from the deck so the dogs had freedom to play safely. Stuart and Joanne (the owners) were really friendly and helpful. We had fresh duck eggs brought to our door. Also on site are: alpacas, donkeys, emus, peacocks, hens, geese, turkeys, pigs. Marvellous!

A fantastic holiday which was thoroughly enjoyed by us. The views were spectacular. The cottage was excellent, the owners made us welcome and the hot tub was brilliant after a day of walking in the Dales.

A nice clean and comfortable cottage. In a quiet location but close enough to shops for the essentials. There were plenty of dog walks from the cottage, and a variety of animals on the farm to keep you entertained from the comfort of the balcony.

Very warm and friendly welcome from the owners. Attention to detail was extremely high. A home from home !

Rated by Mr Lord reviewed on 26th October 2014

This property should be a 5* rated holiday let. It was spacious, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The owners were particularly welcoming, have a fabulous collection of rare animals and there are spectacular views from the patio/balcony. There are three spacious bedrooms, two with TV's. Also three showers rooms. Locally there are very friendly pubs and restaurants serving excellent food. The owners are about to install a hot tub on the patio. We highly recommend this property and will be visiting there again.

Rated by Mrs Gibson reviewed on 4th October 2014

It was spotlessly clean, spacious, and had all mod cons. We've stayed in a few cottages this year, this is the best. I am giving it 5 stars.
