Reviews

The house is clean and tidy but in our opinion not comfortable. Both shower cubicles are small corner ones and there is one leather sofa. It’s certainly not a lazy day sort of property. The garden is smaller than the photographs we saw suggested. And the landscape is bleak. It is not the wolds and although one can walk from the door the countryside is flat and uninteresting. We had real problems finding somewhere good to eat. The information in the property is a bit slapdash and in our opinion needs sorting and putting in some sort of order to make it easy for guests to assimilate. And every property should have the telephone number of the local G.P and vets readily available. Our first Sykes disappointment.

Just returned from a weeks holiday had a lovely time beautiful place to stay very clean and plenty of space lovely garden perfect for dogs to have a run about. Loads of beautiful walks. Woodland View was spotlessly clean, well appointed and in a very peaceful setting in rural Lincolnshire. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Our two dogs were made very welcome and enjoyed having the run of the back garden - which was totally secure. Our main purpose for staying here was as a base to visit family but we also managed to visit some of the many National Trust properties in the area. There was so much to do that we couldn't fit it all into this stay. Would definitely stay at Woodland View again.

Lovely cottage with a very well equipped kitchen and a great garden. Lots of wildlife around including rabbits and pheasants in the garden, kestrels and buzzards in the field to the side and barn owls in the barn opposite.

Loved it and wished we'd booked a fortnight. The garden was lovely and very well kept by the owner - we used it a lot. Would definitely go again and there were super sunsets over the trees.

The cottage felt light, warm and spacious and the stove gave it an extra cosiness. We loved having two bathrooms. The kitchen and utility room were well laid out. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and we appreciated the isolation and lack of traffic. The owner was thoughtful about our enjoyment.

We spent a week in this property, and were very happy with every aspect. It is spotlessly clean, really well equipped and very comfortable. It is modern, bright and airy, with lovely views of the garden and the surrounding countryside. Although available to dog owners, there was no trace of previous dog occupants (as is so often the case - a problem for me as I have allergies, but do have non shedding dogs). The walks in the surrounding fields are a delight...just open countryside, wide open skies.... a wonderfully relaxing place. Can highly recommend.

Accommodation was first class. There is everything you need and more in the cottage and the owner goes out of her way to make sure everything is ok. Garden is ideal for both dogs and children and the location is ideal for visiting places. Very peaceful location. It is definitely a home from home.
