Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The cottage was nice and clean, nicely equipped and in a lovely, peaceful location. There were nice views from the lane and the footpath behind the property. They were very welcoming and even made me a cake and left me a pint of milk when I arrived. It is a good base to explore Northumberland. The historic town of Hexham, Derwent Reservoir, all the best preserved parts of Hadrian's Wall and its associated forts and castles, and the Roman Town of Corbridge, are all an easy drive away.

The Barn Cottage is in a beautifully quiet location, just birds and lambs! Cottage is very tastefully fitted out and the owner was particularly helpful.

The Cottage is finished to a high standard and well equipped. The owners were superb hosts, we enjoyed a relaxing break and would highly recommend to family and friends.
The couple that own the cottage are a joy, who wouldn't love the warm welcome received. The cottage is idyllic and in an amazing setting. It is fantastic for dog lovers, with a great secure garden and stunning walks. Loved it. 11 out of 10.
