Reviews

After a week at treetops I was very happy with the accomodation , I found it spacious and well laid out perfect for a family of 4. We initially had issues with both single mattresses in the second room but upon contacting the owner it was quickly resolved with new mattresses the next day. Very happy with the communication and service from the owner. The property is nicely situated on a quiet area with plenty of parking outside. The location is great with Lidl and Morrisons supermarkets close and the beach at Rhos on sea and Colwyn bay only a mile away . We had a busy holiday with zip world , adventure park Snowdonia , Glasfryn Park all within a hours drive so lots to keep kids (teenagers) occupied . All in all I would recommend Treetops to friends and happily come back another time .

This accommodation was filthy, wouldn’t put a dog in here. We had to clean dishes, cutlery etc for our own use and then clean a shelf to put them on for our use. We were frightened to touch anything as it was so dirty, filthy cutlery drawer, kitchen cupboard fronts needing cleaning, dust everywhere, dead flies on the floor. Far too many things to mention, definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

This was a pleasant place to stay! The property smelt lovely when we first arrived but it was later replaced by a horrible smell from the leather coach and chair! It was during a heat wave so I don't know if that made a difference to any beeswax treatment etc, Also no locks on the toilet and bathroom which was embarrassing for a group of adults. Other than that it was a pleasant stay!

The walk down to the promenade is a gentle 10 minutes stroll, and only 25 minutes if you go via the shops. The promenade itself is lovely and wide and you can walk a fair distance in either direction. Stayed here with another couple and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The apartment has everything you could need, including a bottle of wine and milk on arrival. We had a Sainsbury's shopping delivery - the driver struggled to find us, but he's been now so should be easier for the next people to order - lol. The only real downsides to the actual apartment are that it could probably do with new mattresses - the double bed has roll-together, whilst you can feel all the springs on the single beds; the toilet and bathroom doors don't have locks on them - probably ideal if you are visiting with young children but not so much when you are sharing with another couple; the DVD player is actually a PlayStation whatever, and doesn't appear to work properly - not really a problem as we were out most of the time. If you're looking for a relaxing break and don't mind a little walking, this is the ideal place to stay. Less than an hour's drive to Snowdonia - check out the free Slate museum - actually a lot better than it sounds; on a lovely coastline, though don't try to get to other beaches on a Sunday afternoon, lol. Thanks Sean for a nice stay in your apartment - hopefully this review will help others realise that it is close enough to the beach etc.

A lovely apartment very spacious in a quiet location overlooking trees at the back. Everything was very clean on arrival nice to come to after a long journey. In the fridge was a bottle of wine and a pint of milk which was an added touch. The apartment has free wi fi which is good if you need it. Shaun the owner was very helpful telling you everything you needed to know about the apartment and the surrounding areas. Outside the apartment the front does need tidying up a bit by the entrance perhaps some more pots of flowers ect. But thats just a minor detail. Distance to seafront and shops is more than 15 minutes walk down hill

Although we found this property to be spacious and comfortable in many ways (lounge, bathroom, kitchen and size of main bedroom), two things needed immediate attention in our opinion. There was an unpleasant musty smell of damp in the entrance hall and small bedroom and the mattresses definitely need replacing. (The drawers in that bedroom also need replacing.) The TV was of good quality, WiFi and bottle of wine was welcome. We would consider a return visit if these matters were attended to as Rhos on Sea is a great place and makes a good base to explore Wales. Very disappointed with Sykes Cottages as they have not published my review on their site despite contacting them several times. Won’t book through them again.

We have been holidaying in Wales for 40 years but have never stayed in Rhos before. Though very 'up', Treetops was a wonderful location and appropriately named, as well as value for money.

A lovely house in a quiet situation but close enough to shops, cafes and the promenade etc.

A lovely, clean, comfortable and spacious apartment which made an ideal base for exploring the area. The owner welcomed us on arrival. A beautiful part of Wales with wonderful views and scenery.
