This was a great place to stay. It is owned by a very nice farming couple who live at the farmhouse next door.
Fabulous cottage, simple, clean and comfortable. Great access to Tissington trail for cycling / hiking / running adventures. Three pubs within a couple of miles. Friendly helpful owners, working dairy farm for farm fresh milk and great views. Would stay here again
We loved absolutely everything about this holiday and location. It was lovely to see the cows be rounded up to be milked (some of which we had fresh on our cereal) and it was a real bonus that the Tissington trail ran right though the farm. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The cottage itself was the perfect base for our biking adventures and was well equipped with everything you could ever need or want. I would recommend this cottage in a heart beat. It is a working dairy farm and with that comes all the smells of the country which for us added to the charm.
A fabulous cottage in a perfect location, it was absolutely clean with a well equipped kitchen. It was just perfect! There were great walks from the door. The owners were so lovely and accommodating. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we will be back again.
The cottage was lovely. So roomy, clean and homely. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. The views are beautiful and we were lucky enough for it to snow the night we arrived. Sitting in the lounge at 3am watching it come down with a warm log fire was amazing! Walking around the area for hours was really refreshing, with great views all around, and points of interest along the way to the local village. It was a shame to leave!
The house was exactly what we needed, close to trail for walking and cycling. Close enough to the pub. When it was horrible weather the house was brilliant for staying cosy and dry! The owner was very chilled out and friendly. Enough parking for three cars or more. Loads of kitchen equipment. We would definitely recommend.
We had a very relaxing stay in a beautiful cottage with the most amazing views from the windows. Our host, was very friendly and welcoming which made things even better. We can't think of anywhere we would rather have stayed for this holiday.
Croft House is an absolutely beautiful little cottage, perfect for a long weekend in the rolling countryside. It had absolutely everything we needed and we were made to feel very welcome by the owner.
My parents booked this cottage for a week they had never been to Derbyshire before I recommended it to them, this cottage is ideally situated to tour the beautiful villages and dales of Derbyshire the cottage it's self is a credit to the owners who let us come up and visit my parents overnight it has everything you could possibly need and so tastefully furnished, views from the garden a great and the Tissington trail is a two minute walk from the cottage, great for active walkers or just relax and enjoy the view, thank you to the owners for are unexpected visit you have a beautiful cottage and we will be back
The location, the views, the cottage all very relaxing.
Croft house is situated on the edge of a busy dairy farm with easy access to the Tissington Trail . The views are lovely, we especially enjoyed the comings and goings of the dairy herd and the walks along the footpaths with our dog into the very picturesque village of Tissington. Good boots are required you are on a farm, but the cottage itself contains everything you could possibly need which is great because you are a little way from any shops. The location is very quiet and the accommodation very relaxing, there are lots of very nice places to eat in the surrounding villages but if you want to cater for yourselves the cottage has everything. The situation is great for visiting lots of Derbyshire's favourite tourist areas being very close to Dovedale, Ashbourne, Matlock, Bakewell and many others.
Ideal location situated a short distance from Tissington trail. Good walks and places to visit are close by. Being on a working farm was interesting and relaxing. Just watching the cows come and go to be milked was interesting and the milk delicious! Hosts are very informative and made us welcome. The views are lovely from the cottage. Perfect for an active holiday but you can relax and watch others pass on the tissington trail too.
The location was great for exploring the area and visiting Alton Towers. I wish we had longer to see everything. The house was very well equipped and met all of our needs, with lovely décor and a really well equipped kitchen. It is a large house with lots of rooms and storage. Even just little touches like labelling switches is a huge help in a new house. The owner was so lovely to deal with so thank you very much!
